《How to be a dragon [HTTYD Fanfiction] [Toothcup]》Chapter 8

It had been three weeks of traveling on the ship. We had sailed pass many islands and even explored them. But there was no sign of both of them. We sailed further and further. We nearly ran out of the supplies. A few days and we would have nothing to eat.
We were now sailing through the snow. It highly was cold here. I nearly lost my hope now. But Valka was very determined. It was the worst three weeks ever. She didn't speak to me. And even glared at me when I tried to speak to her. Her glare was deathly enough to scare me.
Silently sailing through the sea. We finally saw the island to set at. There were snow everywhere so we had to find the cave to camp. I carried the bags of fish and the other carried the blanket and weapons.
I saw the cave up from us not very high, so I led us there. When we got there I put down the bags and the dragon's roar was heard. I quickly grabbed my hammer and walked into the cave further. Valka followed behind me like others.l, weapons also were in ours grips.
The cave way was rocky and long. But as I reached at the exit the light blinded me and then I saw the dragons every where. The nest here was surely beautiful if there weren't devils here.
The beasts didn't seem to care us. I decided to take a move but when I did the wall of ice appeared around the Vikings, blocking us from moving around.
"I wouldn't take anymore move if I were you" and "Berkians?" I heard a familiar voice from above. All of us looked up and saw my two sons at the top of the wall. Toothless looked no bit different. And the dragon boy... My lost son. His upper half was naked, showing his four packs on his abdomen and he had his icy dragon appearances on. I gaped at his appearances. He looked strong and tough.
Toothless drew his sword "What are you doing here?" He glared at me and huffed. "Don't tell me you are trying to find us?"

"Uhh... Yes?" I said a bit unsure. I wasn't prepared for this yet.
Hiccup snickered and looked at Valka "Hey mom" Valka was now smiling widely "Hiccup" She said back.
"So...you're my son" I asked the dragon boy.
Hiccup nodded "You're my biological father.. But I also had my dragon father's blood. So...that mad you only my birth father. Because you never raise me" Hiccup said reasonably. I nodded quietly and sighed, admitting the fact that I never raised my first son. I was never a father to him.
"Leave this island now!" Toothless boomed and we flinched. "I don't wanna see you again!"
"Chill, love" Hiccup said and patted Toothless back. "Maybe you should give him some chances?"
"He doesn't deserve any" Toothless replied.
"He deserves, Toothless. You know that you can't be mad at him forever" Valka spoke up. Hiccup noticed this and picked her up from us to the icy wall. Valka hugged both of them and sighed in relief. I felt jealous at the scene.
"Toothless. I'm sorry" I said and looked at him. He stared back, wanting to listen more "I'm truly sorry for you. I shouldn't have said that to you. You're not a freak. You're my son. You have been there for both me and Valka. I could never pay you back"
Toothless looked away and turned to Hiccup who was staring at me and Toothless, back and forth "I think you should forgive him..." Then Hiccup stared at me coldly "And he must listen to everything we're gonna tell him" I nodded quickly, not wanting to face the wrath of my dragon son.
Toothless sighed "Okay.. I forgave you...you're my father after all" He said and I smiled. Hiccup flew to me ad picked me up to the top of the wall and I hugged them both.
"I missed both of you" I said.
"Y-yeah.. Can't breath"
I broke apart and looked at my fellow vikings "Okay. My sons have returned!" The vikings let out sighs of relief.
"You could stay here. But you kept the weapons away and you're not to harm any dragons. And I'm serious" Hiccup said and the wall slowly broke down and we landed on the ground. "You could sleep anywhere you want but don't disturb the dragons or get near the hatchlings. Their parents are protective. And Valka, Stoick. Please follow me"

Hiccup led us into somewhat I supposed that was his nest. And I also saw the a bunch of soft grass. I bet that was his bed. But it was much bigger for the shorty like Hiccup. So I thought that Toothless and Hiccup sleep in the same bed. And there were many some of contraptions that Gobber would be amazed. "Wow... This is your nest?" Valka asked.
"This is Toothless and I's nest" Hiccup corrected.
"You two sleep on the sane bed?" I asked.
Hiccup nodded "Well. I have something to tell you" Hiccup pulled Toothless and wrapped his arms around Toothless protectively. Toothless blushed and didn't struggle.
"Toothless is my mate. MINE" Hiccup said seriously and nipped at the mark that I didn't even notice on Toothless neck.
"Uhh I don't understand" I said confusedly.
Valka rolled her eyes at me "Hiccup is saying that Toothless is his lover" I coughed.
"Seriously?" I asked Hiccup. "You are telling me that my sons are in love with each other?"
"Yes!" They said.
"That is so wrong!" I yelled and frowned.
"Actually Dad. It's not. He's my soulmate and I'm his" Toothless said. I knew about this soulmate thing. But I didn't expect it to be with my two sons. But I couldn't prevent it.
I sighed heavily. I had to listen. "Okay... But don't do any lovey dovey around me" I said.
Hiccup grinned and pecked at Toothless's cheek "I just said that!" I said.
"Well.. We should go an rest" Valka said and dragged me out of Hiccup's nest. Surely this day was the weirdest day of my life.
"I can't have any grandchildren then..." I said as we walking to the camp.
"Actually you can.. Hiccup told me that male dragon can impregnate or can be impregnated" Valka said and I gleamed.
"I bet Toothless is dominant" I said.
"Nope. I bet Hiccup is dominant" Valka said.
"We'll see.." I said and grinned.
---------------------------------
I heard their conversion and was now blushing with Toothless. "So what are you?" Toothless asked.
"I'm dominant, of course!" I said, standing up and shook my head in embarrassment.
"Oh? Okay then" Toothless blushed even more.
"Don't worry my little mate. I will breed you well" I said and kiss him before we go to bed.
Toothless kept blushing the whole night even in his sleep. He was so cute.
----------------------------------
"So? We had no chance to stand against this giant dragon?" Stoick said as he digested the information that Hiccup said. And again Hiccup had to demand him to listen.
"Yes. The queen has a magic to control dragons around her. And she is an alpha so that double her power..." Hiccup said.
"But Hiccup. Aren't you an alpha too?" I asked.
"I am.. But I'm not sure if I'm strong enough" Hiccup said.
"What are you saying? You're strong enough!!" I said and the BB nodded in agreement.
Hiccup rubbed his temple and sighed "I don't even know how to be an alpha. I don't even know if I can breath fire" He said.
"You can practice!" I said.
Hiccup sighed. "I don't want to lose you..." He said and I flinched "I want to protect you. Protect those I love. You and....My family. I don't want to risk it.."
I kissed him to shut him up and he kissed back. We pulled out and I said "I understand... But we can't leave it be like this either. It has to be done Hiccup.."
Hiccup hugged me tightly "If I lose you...How can I live without you..Toothless..."
"Urgh.. I'm still here and fine Hiccup... And yes..yes you can" I said sadly. The war couldn't end with no sacrifice. Whatever will be will be.
I was hurt to think that if we failed Hiccup might died. I had a feeling that we had a big role in this. And one of us had to pay the price of the fight.

Fateless: The Silver Lining
It has been ten years of peace for the Union since the end of the great war with the eastern barbarian tribes, yet in the cold north of the Union's land, a new threat is looming. This time, an ambitious Lord is seeking to restore the yore pride of his kin, forcing the weakened Union into yet another unwanted war, as he ramps up the ranks of his army with thieves, murderers and mercenaries.* * *The temperature inside the forge was nearly twice as high as the one outside. A black-haired girl hammered a steel ingot into the shape of a blade. The heat of the steam was draining her stamina away, but her focus remained sharp as her sweat streamed down her face. Hit after hit, for hours, the sound of the hammering steel followed the rhythm of her breathing. Exhausted, she placed the blade into the water and wiped the sweat off her face using a drenched rag. Why are they screaming? Vatra dipped the rag back in the water, twisted it, and approached the window. Her mouth opened as her world shattered again into the living nightmare she had wilfully tried to forget. She bit her lips; it wasn’t a dream. The pulse of her heart rose. A cold sweat prickled her back. A mother was running, and a child was screaming. A torrent of smoke was emerging from the roof of her neighbour. Vatra’s eyes blinked. The mother lay on the ground, a spear through her back. A torch circled in the air and landed on the roof of her workshop. In the distance, a man wearing a banner well known to the world… Fateless is a philosophical medieval dark low fantasy centered on war, militaristic campaigns and geopolitical conflicts between multiple empires. This story follows the fate of Vatra, a former slave from the eastern Nar Empire who was raised in a culture far away from her own, forced into warfare against her will, and the fate of Lanaya, an ambitious half-angel exiled from her home whose existence is seen as heresy. As they wished for peace, both chose a path opposed to one another until their fate crossed. In this story where war dictates the law, love strikes them as a poisoned balm to which they grasp for with all their might, as it is in the darkest of times that the smallest flames may burn the brightest. * * * Tome 1 already completed and available on Amazon: https://www.amazon.ca/Fateless-Silver-Hugo-Emmanuel-Simard-Wallot/dp/B09LGSH1KK Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Hugo-Emmanuel-Simard-Wallot-100547579135891/ I will publish 1 chapter per week (sometimes 2 if the chapters are too short for my liking).
