screams, the gunfire, the pounding in her chest, then the burning of the walker's bodies. Addy wouldn't wish this amount of horror and grief on anyone.
Addy, Carl, Sophia and Morales's kids had been instructed to stay in the RV and do not come out at any point, for any reason. Addy understand why, but she couldn't help feel like she wanted to help. But she knew if she did, her father would throw a fit and probably hang her upside down from a tree until she learnt her lesson.
Morales's kids were playing card amongst themselves, Sophia was quietly reading in a corner and Carl was still asleep. Addy, however, was staring into outer space. Maybe if she had heard the Walker before it but Amy she would still be alive, and so would the other people who tragically lost their lives.
It was only when there was shouting did she snap out of it. She craned her neck to Eliza and Louis to see they were looking out it the window with frowns.
Addy stood and walked to the door, using little force to open it. But when she did, she saw T-Dog holding Jim back, and her father was holding up Jim's shirt to reveal a nasty bite mark on his ribcage.
She quickly shut the RV door, reviving a strange look from Sophia and the siblings. Addy shook her head, not wanting to talk about it.

"- The chinaman gets all emotional, says it's not the thing to do, we just follow him along?" Addy heard part of her fathers words as she and the others walked over to where the graves were.
"These people need to know who the hell's in charge here, what the rules are."
"There are no rules." Rick told him.

"We'll that's a problem," Lori interjected as the small group of survivors reached them, "We haven't had one minute to hold on to anything of our old selves. We need time to mourn, and we need to bury our dead. That's what people do."
For the first time in a while, Addy found herself agreeing with Lori.
"I can do it , I can do it." Andrea grunted as she and Dale pulled Amy's body into a grave. Her body was covered with a sheet, but there was red stains all over it, making the funeral just that more heartbreaking.
Adelaide leaned on her father, it was a habit she had when she was young, mainly for comfort. But now the world had come to an end she found herself doing it a lot more often, and Daryl didn't seem to mind.

"All right, everybody listen up," Shane started, " Those of you with CBS, we're gonna be on channel forty, but let's keep the chatter down, okay? Now, if you do got a problem, don't have a CB, can't get a signal, anything at all, you're gonna hit your horn one time. That'll stop the caravan. Any questions?"
"We're, uh - we're not going." Morales said, making Addy frown as she shifted her weight onto her other foot, why not?
"We have family in Birmingham. We want to be with our people." Morales's wife said.
"You're on your own, you won't have anyone to watch your back." Shane said, looking at them expectingly.
"We'll take the chance. I gotta do what's best for my family."
"You sure?" Rick asked.
"We talked about it. We're sure."
"All right. Shane." Rick said as he began to dig through the bag for a gun.

Addy began to chew on her fingernail nervously, but her dad grunted and pulled her hand away from his spot behind her, knowing if he didn't stop her now she would chew it until it bled.
"Box is half full." Shane said as he handed Morales a box of ammo, and Rick handed him a revolver.
Daryl scoffed from behind her the same time Lori hopped off of a truck's hood and hugged Morales's wife and kissed their kid's head. Sophia and Eliza embraced and Eliza gave Sophia her doll. Eliza then turned to Addy and smiled opening her arms for a hug, which she gladly accepted, and when the two young girls pulled away, Adelaide went back to leaning on her father. However, this time he grunted and gently pushed just below the small of her back to make her stand up properly.
"Channel forty if you change your minds, alright?" She heard Rick tell Morales quietly.
"Come on! Let's go, let's move out." Shane told everyone.
......................................................
"I see something up ahead. Gas station, if we're lucky." Shane said as he lowered his binoculars. We had been driving for around an hour and a half when the RV had decided to break down, so we were on the side of the road in the sweltering heat.
"Y'all, Jim. It's bad. I don't think he can take anymore." Jaqui said suddenly, hopping out of the RV to inform everyone.
"Hey, Rick you wanna hold down the fort? I'll drive ahead, see what I can bring back?" Shane suggested.
"Yeah, I'll come along too, and I'll back you up." T-Dog offered, to which Shane nodded gratefully.
"Y'all keep your eyes open now, we'll be right back."
Rick and Shane set Jim down so he was laying against a tree at the edge of the forest beside the road. Ever since he had gotten bit the fever was getting worse and worse, so he made a decision to be laid to rest under a tree.
Shane said a few words to him, then jaqui, then Rick, Dale, Glenn, then finally the Dixons'.
Daryl was about to walk away with a curt nod, but when Jim called his daughter's he stopped to look at him.
"Hey, You stay with your daddy okay?" He looked at Daryl, "You keep her safe, do what I couldn't for my boys."
"I will." Daryl nodded again, not knowing what to say to the dying man. Jim nodded and tried his best to smile at the two.
Addy found herself looking at the poor man as they drove off, leaving him for dead. Addy felt bad, but if it was the dying man's wish, then who was she stop him?

The Heart Grows
Dungeon games? Yeah, they're a good way to waste a few hours. The trick is to know the map and plan appropriately. Of course, it doesn't matter if you get beaten. You revise your plan for that map and do a bit better next time. Man, it'd really suck to wake up as a dungeon heart in a fantasy world you know nothing about, barely able to even work out how to control your dungeon. Lucky that wouldn't happen to anybody, huh? What with only having one chance at getting things right, you'd have to plan extra-defensive. This story should be getting chapters published weekly. I have a comfortable buffer set up and on top of the weekly writing I am committing, a commissioner has donated two monthly writing slots to ensure this remains on a weekly schedule. There will be a stat block at the beginning of every chapter bar the first, and a handy map at the end. All my works come with a CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license. This means you are free to download, publish, and even make derivative works of my writing so long as you include this license, attribution, and don't sell the works. Keep it free!

Through this he has a suspicious encounter with an uknown entity that results in what can only be described as a reincarnation to another world. Is this just a sick joke or an adventure in disguise? See how Robert overcomes adversity and rewrites his own story with a new life, one hopefully with more luck than the last.
