《Remember Me... Please》Chapter 4

You rubbed the gem with your thump digit. You chain was soft in your palm, the glittery covering chipped away from the wear of time. You had found in rattling around in your subspace. It held a sort of warm familiarity you just couldn't place. It was obviously deeply special to you. You sighed and continued to longingly stroke the gem. Your optics widened then it light up slightly.
You rubbed it again and waited a moment to get a glow in reply. It happened. For some reason the glow in reply comforted to and caused a smile to grow on your dermas. It held the feeling of a home you have lost and that caused a pang of sadness to mingle with the warm feeling in your chassis.
You rubbed the gem again and smiled when the glow in reply lit up your face plates in the dark small room you called your dorm. You held the necklace close as you had an interaction with seemingly no one, but someone that filled you with a large warm feeling.

Ratchet POV
~
I watched the purple gem light up again. I was most confused was how anyone had the other half of this. I tried to shut down the pathetic blooming weight in my chassis that was growing with hope that's she still alive and this was her way of reaching out for me. I sighed and stroked my thumb over the gem again.
"No matter how far I am, no matter where I might be, this will allow me to be with you.." I heard her sweet voice chuckle
"But that makes no sense. Why wouldn't I just comm you?" I spoke my reply from all those years ago
"Ha! You're and idiot Ratchy!" I smiled longingly rubbing over the gem again, "it's more of a comfort item. So when you're missing me at night you can just rub the gem and the mine will light up."

"You mean if you get lonely?"
"Fine! Whatever I'll just take it back and get my money back!" I chuckle hearing her insulted tone ring in my processor
"Nononono! I didn't say I didn't like it!"
"Then keep it you spike helm!"
I smiled sadly at the soft purple glow, "I will... I will.."
I let a frown slip onto my face trying to blink away the tears, "Frag (y/n).. why?"
The gems glow was my only reply and I sighed and returned it to my subspace. That's enough of that, I have better things to do then trap myself in old memories. Y-yeah. That's the reason. Not because I miss her more than I care to admit. Not because I hate the cold berth I wake up to every morning.
No not because of that. I would never. It's definitely not because this clone is bringing up memories I care not to relive. I sighed, maybe visiting her will help...
I transformed and left the base driving off towards her favorite spot. The spot where we laid her down for a final time. I transformed at the base of the hill and started the climb less enthusiastic than the other times I was here. I reached the peak and looked up and stiffened. I stared at the torn up dirt and the make shaft tombstone tossed recklessly aside. I fell to my knee joints and scrambled forward to the empty grave.
"(Y/n)?" I whispered
I looked wide opticed at the damp dirt and scars in the ground from someone digging her out.
"(Y/N)!?" I called out to no one
I shakily pressed two digits to my comm, "Prime! The grave is empty!"
":;What Ratchet?;:" Prime asked confused
"(Y/n) is gone!" I shouted
":;Yes ratchet, She's been gone for awhile.;:" he spoke
"Prime! Her grave is lacking an important property! Her body!" I growled
There was a brief pause of static, ":;What?;:"
"Her body is not in the grave!" I yelled lifting a servo full of dirt
":;Are you sure?;:"
"Yes I'm sure Prime! I may be old, but I know when a body is not in the grave!" I snapped
":;I'll be right over.;:" with that the comms cut off
I stared helplessly at the empty grave. Where are you (y/n)?

New Paris [a Modern-day LitRPG]
New Paris [OR] I reincarnated into the world of my favorite wuxia novel as an S ranker with unbalanced skills. [Volume 1] - Completed I was one of those people who only stood out in a crowd when their name was called. Then, I died. But instead of heaven, hell, or anything else, I found myself in the body of a young woman whom I did not recognise at first. You see, I had this novel I was obsessed with. The novel was a fairly popular wuxia that got a few sequels, and a handful of spinoffs. One of these spinoffs took place in Paris, where the main cast fought against a multi-millionaire villain. When I woke up after dying, I eventually realised that I was now the third daughter of this multi-millionaire end-game boss in a spin-off of a sequel of my favourite novel. Does this make any sense to you? Because it doesn't to me. But I guess I might as well make the most of it now. Just gotta stay away from some of the more unstable main characters and cut all ties with my 'family' to avoid certain death. [Volume 2] - Currently Airing It had not been a good idea to interfere with the characters of the original novel. Had I known it was going to cause a butterfly effect, I would have stayed in my lane and minded my business. Although, between the suspicious attacks I seem to constantly find myself in the center of, and my 'family' who is the living definition of the expression 'rich pricks', I’m not entirely sure my current predicament would have been avoidable. But maybe it isn't to be avoided; maybe I should embrace this opportunity that has been given to me and become the hero of this story? At least it's certain that I can't do worse than the original protagonist in terms of moral ambiguity; with immortality already in my pocket, and no other useful skills to account for. However, if I were to follow this path, I would have a lot to lose, including an upcoming promotion and my growing relationship with my crush. With power, glory and whatever else on one side, and my wellbeing and happiness on the other, even in this magical wuxia world, the choice is easy to make. CW: graphic descriptions of violence, swearing, implied child abuse, mention and graphic description of suicide
