CHAPTER ELEVEN
CALIFORNIA KING
was currently 8 AM and Cindy was supposed to be asleep. However, she was currently on her stepfathers' private jet headed to some undisclosed location. The only things she had to her name currently was her phone, car keys connected to her Off-White keychain, and the large ice coffee in her hand.
The teenager had gotten up early for soul cycle and when she was returning hope, ready to go back to bed, she was stopped by Duncan. All he told her was to leave her car there and get into his black SUV.
On the way to the airport, the man had explained he was taking her to Europe to celebrate her officially becoming a senior and surviving junior year. The girl was slightly confused that he hadn't told her before but upon trying to ask further questions, he shut her down.
"D, it's fuckin freezing in here," Cindy complained. The man had been working diligently on his laptop in the seat across from her and hadn't said a word to her in the hour they had been in the air.
"Maybe if you untied the front of your shirt you wouldn't be so cold." He hummed, his eyes never leaving his computer screen and his fingers never stopping.
"Duncan! You're the one that practically kidnapped me!" She argued, slightly annoyed by the fact he was trying to beat around the bush about the fact her tied shirt revealed her stomach.
Sighing, the man gave in to the girl. It was a trend he had begun to notice ever since he met her. Before her, the man wouldn't give into anyone, he always got what he want. However, when it came to Cindy, he was the complete opposite. Anything that she wanted, he would probably get her.

"Fine. My bedroom's in the back. In the drawers, there's some spare clothes. Find yourself something."
Setting down her cup, the girl wondered to the back of the plane, went past the closed door, and her mouth fell open. She had grown up in the lap of luxury to but this was beyond her. The man literally had a California King on a plane.
Finding the set of drawers, she rummaged through the bottom one until she found a sweater similar to the ones he was always wearing. Untying her white long sleeve shirt, she pulled it over her head, and traded it for navy blue sweater that swallowed her.
Leaving her old shirt on his bed, she exited the bedroom. Hearing the click of a door closing, Duncan finally looked up for the first time. Seeing her in his clothes, a lopsided smile formed on his face.
"Is the Duncan Shepherd smiling at me?" Cindy teased him, making him roll his eyes. He shook his head at her comment and promptly went back to work.
"Will you ever stop working?" She asked, sitting back down in bed seat, grabbing ahold of her coffee, and enjoying the cold beverage.
"How do you think the jet your in is funded? Money isn't just handed to me." He told her, continuing to finish his email about an app he wanted to create for the Shepherd Foundation.
"You payed for this yourself?" The blonde asked, her jaw practically dropping. The man looked up again, a chuckle leaving his lips at her expression.
"Yes Cin, I am self funded. Most adults are."
Cindy sighed, after a few moments of not talking, the reality of getting up early finally catching up with her. Getting up from her seat, she ventured back into Duncan's bedroom, and threw herself on the large bed.
Closing her eyes, she slowly drifted off. Lulled by the constant sound of Duncan's typing, which eventually became quite comforting, and the smell of his cologne on the sweater she wore, Cindy didn't wake back up until the plane landed in London.

High school life in a world where everyone has superpowers
So, um... how do I explain this simply? Okay, so... There's a girl, she's er... She's in high school, and, um... She has a superpower that mutes things? Also she lives? Yeah, sorry. The concept's too confusing isn't it? Warning: The stuff below is technically correct, but this fiction, with my other, is now on the failed pledge list. Shocking how a lack of updates for more than half a year actually meant something... Sorry for the delay, still not really up to writing for this series as of now (14/03/18 - remember I'm english, so correct) but I'm still trying to get into writing... Cover is thanks to Zenlith (WriTE's Founding Member). This fiction is signed under the 'The Pledge'... Some internet message in a forum about not dropping or giving a rushed ending in their fiction, otherwise meet the wrath of letting RRL mod Vocaloid have 'fun' with the fiction's description. So mainly for the sake of my fiction due to said wrath, I'll see this fiction through. Updates: up in the air... hopefully the day after this is edited, but we all have dreams. Warning for mild profanity, but it shouldn't happen too much for the innocent out there so don't take the warning to heart.
