《Softer Than Lavender (Boy×Boy)》Stubby Crayons

Dear Greysons plain white hospital paper,
I got woken up at nine o'clock to speak to a psychiatrist about why I am in the hospital. And now, they tell me I'm not even allowed to have my man journal, or a damn pencil. So yeah, ignore my poor crayon handwriting. I think there is a kid eating his yogurt with the yellow crayon. They probably think I'm a psychopath, yikes.
Greyson turned his paper over and began drawing little squiggles around the edges of the paper in green crayon.
"Hmm, nice crayons?" A slender brunette guy approached Greyson's table and sat down across from him, "uh, I think I want to sit here."
Greyson raised an eyebrow and gave the kid a quick glance. "They gave me these crayons and I don't even like to draw. They say art is supposed to be therapeutic."
The brunette boy grabbed Greyson's paper and a lavender crayon. "I like this one because it reminds me of the lavender the grows outside my mom's house."
Greyson pushed back into the chair, unsure why this guy was talking nicely to him when he didn't even know his name. "Oh cool dude, lavender," he immediately wanted to ram his head into the wall upon finishing his sentence.
"Well not really, lavender is actually a Mediterranean plant. If you were to ever grow it, I would try for a slightly warmer climate," the brunette kid knocked on the table twice and looked to him for feedback.
Greyson wasn't entirely sure how to respond. This guy seemed friendly, but the awkward energy between them was thriving. "Ah I see, note to self, don't freeze a lavender plant."
The brunette knocked on the table twice more and let out a small chuckle. "I don't know your name yet but you are interesting and tall, and I like that."

Greyson grinned at the kid and held out his hand, "you are also an interesting dude. My name is Greyson." The brunette shook his hand very lightly, "that is a pretty good name. My name is Drew, I wish I were as tall as you sometimes."
Greyson grinned and glanced off to his right. "My morning is already getting better. You can color with me. Sometimes I just wish I were a kid again."
Drew's face dropped and he put down his crayon. He appeared to be upset but didn't respond. "Oh I'm sorry bro, I can be a bit intense at times. Not trying to be creepy." Drew stood up and walked over to Greyson's side of the table.
"Can I sit on this side? There's a sun beam in my eyes." Greyson paused for a second, "uh... sure,".
Drew plopped down on the bench, grabbed his lavender crayon, and proceeded to draw raindrops. "Oh wow, those are some really good raindrops. Where did you learn to do that?"
Drew looked up and over Greyson's shoulder, into his eyes, and then back over his shoulder. "My older sister was majoring in art when I was 7 and she taught me how to draw after my parents said they didn't want me anymore."
Greyson's eyes widened and he put his hand over his mouth. "Oh jeez, I shouldn't have said anything. I always create awkward situations. Regardless, that is one impeccable raindrop."
Drew smiled and slid the paper over to Greyson. "I don't think you could be any more awkward than me. I'm sitting here wondering if me giving you this raindrop means that we can be friends, or if it means that this is your paper anyways and it's just a casual exchange, and now I'm regretting saying any of this out loud."

Greyson chuckled and patted Drew on his back. "Yes dude, we can be friends. You seem a lot better than the guys I deal with at school all day." Drew grinned innocently. "Oh that's good. That's a good idea."
"It was your idea."
"Hmm, you're right. I had a good idea."
