He felt his throat go dry. It was time for the unfortunate day. Well technically tomorrow, but shut up. Dread filled his mind. The... PRACTICE MATCH! Saiki wanted to just stay home. Come on, he doesn't even memorise their names yet. More names and interactions? He should rest to rest his brain from all the names. Oh how the pink-haired gi- pretty boy felt like sobbing at that moment.
Hinata pat his back, looking at him with a strained smile. "You... seemed passionate about Volleyball before. It's like you're drained." He grinned nervously. "I know the match is too soon, but you can always stay benched, Saiki." He reassured him, patting his back once again.
Saiki sighed. He wasn't exactly immune to cute things. "I'm fine." He blinked tiredly. Hinata gave him an expression that clearly said 'Are you sure about that?'. Saiki deadpanned. "Yeah. I am. Don't worry." He bluntly stated, narrowing his vision. Hinata knew he was faking, it was obvious. But the ginger had to let it go. It wasn't exactly his business, if Saiki didn't want to talk about it then that's fine.
"I need to go home now." Saiki muttered. The redhead's ahoge (im genuinely confused HOW DOES IT WORK) went up, getting an idea. Saiki raised an eyebrow, tilting his head. "Here's my number! I'll add you to the Karasuno groupchat!" He grinned, handing Saiki a piece of paper.
How did he even get it- You know what, let's pretend logic doesn't exist.
"Uh.. sure." He nodded, taking the paper out of Hinata's grasp. He stood up, taking his bag. Yes, this was not the same day from the last chapter. Saiki wanted to go home alone today because of practice. He ran briskly out of the gym, panting heavily due to his tiredness.
The students in the sidelines who were leaving from their extra-curriculares saw the pink haired boy literally rush out of there. "Is he from the track club?" A student mumbled, staring wide-eyed at the pink boy. "You idiot, he didn't come from where the track club was! It was.. the volleyball club? Huh." Student B laughed.
"What the fuck is funny about that shit, shit-humour?" Student C raised an eyebrow. "Nothing, it's just that he said before that he disliked sports. Plus, he doesn't seem athletic." Student B explained. "You guys know that he can hear you, right?.." Student A furrowed their eyebrows.
They looked at the pink-haired pyschic, who scrunched his nose. He just sighed and ran away quickly in a millisecond. "That was weird. Anyway.." Student C mumbled. He slumped his shoulders, closing his eyes tightly as he felt no presence available. "Why did the plot have to go so fucking fast." He groaned.
His lips shaped into a line, clearly annoyed with what was happening. He sighed, his posture straightened. "I wish I can just talk to the author to tell them to just get on with the story and actually have good ideas for once." Kusuo insulted, making me feral.
Just because I don't have good ideas doesn't mean I'm that bad, right? ....Right? Saiki just blinked rapidly for a minute, before walking out of the school, disgruntled. Practice Match was tomorrow, He should probably get enough rest. Jeez, being gay is really hard.

He sourly went to the direction of his house, feeling bitter. Saiki softly walked, leaves crunching underneath his shoes. The quiet yet peaceful scenery almost made him stop for a moment. Scratch that, He did.
Why was it suddenly so peaceful? Was it because the Author wanted to practice writing? Whatever. He didn't get much time to appreciate the scenery because he always runs to school or teleports there. Walking at a slow pace, It really was different.
Birds chirruped, finding each other and taking them under their wing. The sun shined, but it wasn't enough to warm him too much. It was all right. Nothing could go wrong. Unfortunately, We're behind schedule. Go home already, Kusuo.
He rolled his eyes. If we were really behind schedule, you would have written me teleporting home. Suddenly, his figure appeared in his house. He smiled with malicious intent behind it.
"You fucking bitch-"
-
He- No, She awoke the next day, feeling feminine. Never mind. Being Gender-fluid on an important day where you should be feeling masculine or at the very least androgynous, is very very hard.
Oh well, at least her brain could rest for a few hours. She looked in his closet, eyes shifting from the Girl uniform, or the normal boy uniform. "I wish I was agender instead." Her eye twitched, frowning deeply.
"Just do it, you dumbass. I realised I haven't used any pronouns except for He/Him for you and I hate it." A feminine voice grumbled. Her eyes widened, and She narrowed her vision to see a figure in the corner of her eye.
"A-Author?" She uncharacteristically stuttered. "Yeap. Anyways.. Just go there already... It's all good. It's a practice match, after all. Plus, you can always stay benched!" They hummed, floating in the air sitting comfortably.
"I said I wanted to talk to you earlier during the chapter.. but can you go? I'll follow your stupid plot speed run, just go." Kuriko deadpanned. "Aight." They smiled, making a peace sign then disappearing.
"....Lord give me patience."
-
The pink haired psychic walked to the school, eyes narrowing every time She saw somebody blush. "Fuck my life. Fuck the author." She cursed under her breath. "Ah.. Are you new?" A familiar voice shyly asked her.
She stared at the boy with the man bun, raising an eyebrow. "It's Saiki." She shrugged. Asahi nearly fell down due to shock. "W-What?!" He scratched the nape of his neck. "I'm so sorry!" He apologised, shifting his vision to the side.
"It's fine. I guess." She rolled her eyes. She quickly went beside him and ran to the class. "Ahh.. I should have known. Hinata said they- or she, were gender fluid." He looked down, shame in his expression. Hinata ran up to him.
"Hey, have you seen Saiki?" He chirruped. "Ah.. About that." Asahi slumped his shoulders, making his posture as worse as the shrimp emoji. "She's a..." Asahi trailed off, looking at the wide-eyed sunshine in front of him.
"She's.. She's a girl today, right?" He fumbled with his fingers, a blush of embarrassment on his cheeks. "Yeah.." Asahi sighed. They were both quiet for a moment, before they both waved the matter off and went to class.
Kuriko was sitting in her seat, eyes trained on her desk. She avoided all the weird stares, clearly uncomfortable with the energy we created in the studio today. Hinata walked in, nearly gasping as He saw her. His head perked up, starry eyed.

She had short pink hair, though disheveled a bit, still charming in it's own way. She had clear glasses, in which you could see those deep purple eyes clearly now. The Karasuno girl uniform seemed perfect for her. How charming.
Nearly all of the people in the class were blushing. Those who weren't were either in a relationship, or had their eyes trained on something else. Sure, Gay men or aromantic people exist, but seriously, her appearance can make you change your sexuality.
Now, They just thought of her as pretty. They don't actually have a crush on her, right?..
Author?
Hello?
Answer my question????
-
Noya and Tanaka were conversing with Saiki, blushing crazily. "The uniform looks so good on you!" Noya exclaimed. "You might even beat Kiyoko in terms of Beauty!" Tanaka sobbed, closing his eyes and clutching his chest.
"Aha.." Daichi smiled threateningly, which made the both of them run while He ran after them. Sugawara cackled, laughing his ass off. He wiped off a fake tear dramatically, clearly amused. "Ahh.. How will you play, Saiki?" Hinata groaned, frowning.
"It's okay. I'll just say I have feminine features." Saiki laid back, clearly calm about this. AUTHOR YOU NEVER GAVE ME AN EXCUSE YOU PIECE OF- Ahem. "Will they really believe that?" Yamaguchi asked. "If they will, they're idiots." Tsukishima blurted out.
Saiki nodded in agreement, making the two childhood friends snicker in amusement. Coach Ukai was silent for a moment, before agreeing to it hastily. Probably because an annoying voice in the back of his head kept pressuring him to do it.
"Alright, It's time to load the bus." Ukai said gruffly. They all went inside, footsteps getting rustier as they hopped onto the bus. The leather shoes interacted with the metal vehicle, Soles scratching the metal slightly. The members of the volleyball club slipped into the seats quickly, wanting to just sit already.
Saiki sat in the back. She literally wanted to sleep already. This day was stressful enough to be bombarded by questions due to her.. transformation. I wish being gender fluid was easy. Kiyoko sat down next to her, while Saiki was thankful for this outcome.
You see, Kiyoko was especially quiet when needed. Her voice was also impossibly soft, which helped Kuriko calm down at times. lmao imagine being fruity in both gende- Hm. The wind must be whistling a lot. It's quite noisy. Kiyoko shifted her gaze to Saiki, puzzled.
She admired how the sun complimented her hair very well. It turned into a tinge of peach, the orange and pink mixing together to get that impossibly perfect shade. She admired how her purple eyes looked mysterious yet alluring. She admired how her porcelain skin basked in the sunlight.
God, She was so gay for Kuriko and bisexual for Kusuo.
A soft yawn escaped Kuriko's lips, rubbing her eyes tiredly. Kiyoko shared a worried look, but it was never viewed. Kuriko's head rested on the bus's comfortable seats, closing her eyes that clearly showed her eyelashes. Her lips curled into a curt smile.
Kiyoko's ears turned a bit red, eyes widening at the euphoric being in front of her. If this was what the Celestial Realm was, then I apologise, Devildom. But I'll just skedaddle to Heaven. Her mouth jittered, not knowing what to do. She nervously shifted her gaze to the window opposite of their seat.
The view was of course, beautiful. The peacefulness of the leaves slowly falling on the windows made her smile. Slowly, almost everyone in the bus were asleep by the time they arrived. Hinata was busy staring at the 'Goddess Chairs' or whatever Tanaka and Noya were rambling on about.
The beautiful sight made Hinata's heart skip a beat. He didn't want to wake them up. He begrudgingly sighed. He shook Kiyoko's shoulders, and She woke up quickly. "We're here." Hinata explained. Kiyoko nodded, stretching her arms. She started to look at the girl beside her.
Kiyoko had to close her eyes to not see the ethereal scene in front of her. She lightly shook her shoulders. Kuriko's eyes opened slightly, pursing her lips. "Hm?.." She looked at the both of them, blinking slightly. OH DEAR OH DEAR OH DEAR OH DEAR OH DEARRRR -
....Let's just say that.. uh.. everyone's heart go doki doki?..
-
"Oya? I heard you had a new member!" Kuroo grinned cheekily. Kenma punched his shoulder slightly, signalling his annoyance. "Oi! Kenma.." Kuroo slouched down, pouting. "Stop acting childish. Hello, Shoyo." His mood switched from annoyed™️, to happi™️ immediately.
"Kenma-San!" Sparkles emitted from his figure, seeing the pudding-haired boy. The two of them hugged, one of them ignoring his actual childhood friend, the other just happy to see his best friend. Kuroo sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"So.. Who's the new player?" Lev popped up behind Kuroo, making the ravenette flinch. "I wonder if He's cool like Hinata!" Inouke grinned. "Ah.. About that..." Daichi narrowed his vision, an awkward grin on his lips. "Basically.. She's Genderfluid and feeling gender today." Suga piped up bluntly.
Daichi glared at Sugawara, who only smiled deviously. "Ah.." Kuroo nodded. His expression was calm, before realising the implications. "Wait, What?" He blinked rapidly, a ghastly expression on his face. "Gen?Der? You could have just said feminine!" Yaku furrowed his brows.
"Because I want to!" He replied immediately, the smug smile never ripped out of his lips. "Can we meet her?" Lev raised an eyebrow, clearly excited to meet this person. "Yes, Obviously." A feminine voice interrupted the conversation. Or continued it. Oh well.
"Hi. I'm Saiki Kuriko. Male name Saiki Kusuo." She introduced herself, bowing respectfully. "Woah.. She's cute!" Kuroo swooned. Kenma stared at her for a moment, before staring at Kuroo and scolding him. "You can't just say that to a person you just met." Kozume deadpanned.
"Wha- Ow!" Kuroo exclaimed as he got hit by Yaku. "I agree with Kenma, the obviously saner one." He sighed. Kuriko was just stunned, standing there as an emoji, or someone She has always wanted to be, A Background Character. Kiyoko pat her back, shifting her eyes to the gym.
"Can we just play already?" Hinata begged, breaking the small silence. "I'd appreciate that. A lot." Saiki groaned. They walked in front of the gym doors, ignoring the two captains. "Oi! Chibi-Chans-" Kuroo yelped. Saiki just turned the doorknob, tired of this mess.
Saiki was immediately hit by a ball.
Oops.
