"I told you about it already Jennie, you can go out now," my dad said making me frown as I walk out of his room.

"it didn't work out again?" Jackson asked once he saw me. Jackson's my older brother and I've been telling my dad that I'll be the one who'll run the company instead of Jackson

"jennieyah, I told you already. You must do your best to get the company. I love working at the company but I'm not a workaholic like you." He said scoffing and laying down on the couch.

"I can't do anything about it" I said grabbing my laptop from the table

"you can do something about it. Didn't you told me that you wanted to take over as the CEO of our company?" he said making me nod. "then do it" he said making me look over at him who's staring at the ceiling

"do you know what kind of deal he wanted?" I asked making his head turn to look at me "what deal?" he pauses still looking at me

" he wanted me to look for a partner " I said which makes him sit right up

"wait, is he putting you on blind date kinds of stuff?" he asks with wide eyes

Jackson has been very protective as my older brother even though we don't have the same mom. Dad wanted Jackson to take over since he's the eldest but dad and his mom got into a divorce when he was young. The company was named after our surnames which are Kim and Wang. Dad's divorcement from Jackson's mom doesn't put them into chaos instead Dad treats Jackson the same way.

"no" I replied bringing my eyes back on my laptop

"wait, then you can choose who'll be your boyfriend .....or girlfriend" he chuckles making me glare back at him

"ya Jennie I'm still older than you and I know what you like and what you don't. You're fine with girls right?" he asked making me roll my eyes

"Whatever it is, boy or girl both are headaches" I said making him laugh.

"then if you wanted to take the company do what dad told you, you have a lot of options anyway. You can just hire someone to be your other half. I'm smart am I?" he said jumping out from the couch and laughing.

"I'll go now and play with my friends. I'll see you later" he said leaving me in the living room.

"Miss Kim, the company called. They wanted you to come for an urgent meeting" one of our helpers says making me sigh

"tell Mr. Kang that we're leaving in 10" I said walking up to my bedroom to change.

"tell Jackson that I will stay at my penthouse later" I said walking out of the villa and being greeted by Mr. Kang, one of the most trusted butlers that we have since he's been working with us when I was born

"office" I told him as he nods slowly and shut the door after I got in.

"Miss Kim, we have another problem at the other branch " my secretary said making my head ache "can't you solve that problem? We had 3 failures today and I've been handling everything. What's the use of all of the workers?! Did we hire you to sit all day long doing nothing?!" I yelled with my brows furrowed. It's not like everything needs my permission to be fixed.

"Sorry Miss Kim" she said as she walked out of my office. I grab my bag and put on my coat as I walk out of there after dealing with a lot of things

Once I went out, all of the staff outside bowed to greet me while I pass by them heading to the elevator. I pull my phone out and started calling Mr. Kang

"Jennie" he greeted, he's the only worker that we allow to address us like that.. or he is the only one that I'm fine with since Jackson let our helpers call him by his name

"Mr. Kang I'm going back to my penthouse" I said pushing the elevator button

"Jennieyah I dropped by a convenience store to eat but I'm done now so just wait for me at the lobby. Do you need something?" he asked politely

"no, I'll just wait for you" I said

I let Mr. Kang talk to me comfortably but he still respect me as a boss but he talks to Jackson freely like a son. I once asked Jackson about it and all he said was people are too intimidated by my bossy attitude that's why they don't like dropping the formality when it comes to me.

Once I arrived at the lobby the staff bowed down as usual and some of their eyes went wide because I don't usually come down to the lobby, instead I'll go straight to the parking lot when I'm about to go home. I stood in the lobby and crossed my arms as I wait patiently.

"excuse me" a girl in front of me said. I look away and ignored her.

"umm, excuse me miss" she said once again. I heard her sigh and tilt her head so she can meet my gaze

"uhh, can you... hear me?" she asked while doing some gestures like I'm a deaf person

"cant you get the point that I don't want to talk to you?" I said putting my eyes away from her again

"it's not that I wanted to talk to you miss but you're standing right in front of the water dispenser and I asked the lady right there" she said pointing at the staff on our information desk "I asked her if I can get some water cause I badly need some right now.. so can you please move for a couple of minutes?" she said with the soft voice shes using

"buy water, this company is not somewhere you can go to just to grab a drink" I said sternly

"you see, I don't have much money left here" she said patting her pocket

"I'm really thirsty.. here I'll help you move" she said and put her hand on my arms making my eyes go wide

"Get your hands off of me!!" I shouted and she immediately steps back as we caught a couple of attention

"I'm sorry, but I just need some water" she said and I immediately saw a couple of guards who's about to go near us but they're stopped by Mr. Kang who run towards us.

"Jennie there's some media around this lobby" he whispered to my ear and gestures for me to go to the car while he bowed down to the girl to apologize. I walk straight to the car and shut the door seeing a couple more people looking at me from outside the car. I just waited a couple more minutes and saw Mr. Kang heading out as well.

"drive me back to my penthouse I'm staying there" I said crossing my arms.
