Ring. Ring. Ring. Ugg. I stretched my arms as I reached for my alarm clock. Why do I even have it set on a Sunday?! As I turned it off, I noticed that it reads 10am. Wow. I slept that long.

Sitting up on my bed, flashbacks from last night began to enter my head. The words she said to me the night before echoes through my head and the more it gets louder, my heart begins to shatter. Why would I even think that she'll also feel this stupid feelings that I feel for her? She's my sister for fuck's sake. I don't know what I did in my past life to deserve this. I don't know what I did to have this situation fall upon me. All I know is, whatever it was, it was horrible. Because now, I'm in love with a person that I am not supposed to catch feelings with.

Brushing all the pain that I'm feeling, and picking up the pieces of my shattered heart to try and put it back again, I went to the bathroom to fix myself.

After wearing my shirt and sweatpants and tying my hair up in a messy bun, I went out of my room. As I reached the stairs, I heard laughter coming from the living room. Who could be here? I walked down the stairs and when I reached the bottom, I was met with the pair of eyes that I loathe seeing.

Kai's.

"What are you doing here?" Was the first thing I said. It's too early for me to deal with this bullshit. Looking beside him, I saw Jennie smiling at me. Her smile made me ease up a bit but I'm still pissed at this boy's presence.

"Honey, calm down. Is that how you greet a visitor?" Turning my head at where the voice came from, I saw my mom coming out of the kitchen with a glass of juice and some brownies. Oh no. Those are my brownies! Mom!

"Don't tell me that you're gonna feed my precious brownies to this douchebag, mom."

"Kim Y/N!" Oh uh. Here comes the sermon. "I didn't raise you to be a disrespectful brat. This boy that you're calling that way is Jongin. My co-worker and our new neighbor's son." What the fuck? He is our neighbor now?

I ignored my mom and went on one of our windows. I pushed the blinds slightly to see that someone is indeed occupying the previously empty house across the street. What a luck.

"Kim Y/N! I'm talking to you!" She's really yelling at me in front of this douche. "Did you hear what I said?" I could only nod as I am busy glaring at this now smirking boy. Jennie was quiet. Not daring to say anything.

"Good. Now apologize to him." What? Never in my life will I apologize to him. Looking around, I saw Naeun running towards the living room with her favorite barbie doll clutched on her hand. You're a savior, princess!

"Naeun-ah!" I called her and bent down with my arms open waiting for her to crash into me.

"Unnie!" She hugged me and I hugged her back. I looked up at my mom and gave her an innocent smile. She raised me so she knows me well. She knows that I'll escape this situation she put me in.

"Can you please take me to the park? I wanna ride my bike too." Naeun cutely said as we pulled away from each other's embrace.

"Of course. Let me just get some apple." I stood up and smiled one more time at my mom. She looks so annoyed at me. Well, that's what I do best. I glanced at Jennie and saw her smiling at Naeun and I. When our eyes met, I winked at her before going to the kitchen.

"Okay, let's go princess!" I held the little girl's hand and led her out the door. I got her bike that is at the end of our garage. I also grabbed her helmet and kneepads for safety because mom is gonna kick my ass if we come back with Naeun having scratches.

As we are walking to the park, I am walking and she's on her bike, I started eating my apple. If that dude wasn't there, I would have eaten the food that mom made. Aish. He really gets into my nerves.

"Unnie what's wrong?" I looked down on my sister and saw that she stopped pedaling her bike.

"Huh? What do you mean?"

"You've been kicking the poor stones since we left the house." I must have been so pissed that I didn't notice that I an doing that.

"Oh nothing, sweetie. Nothing's wrong. Let's go." I started walking ahead of her but noticed that the small sounds that her bike make is not following me. I turned back around and there she is, still staring at me with her arms crossed on her chest. What do I expect? She's as stubborn as Jennie and I.

I walked back to her and softly tapped her helmet. "You're stubborn, aren't you?" She just pouted at me. "I'll tell you when you start pedaling again. We gotta get there before it gets too crowded." Without any more words, she pedals her way to the park.

I started walking again and caught up to her. "You saw that boy at our house?"

"The one Jennie unnie is laughing with?" Why is she laughing with him? They're not close and she knows who he truly is. "Hm. Yes that one." I replied with a blank tone.

"Yup. I did. I was playing in the living room when he arrived. But then, he started laughing so loud. I told him to please be quiet but he just laughed louder. He's mean." I clenched my fist upon hearing that. That dude doesn't know respect. He can't respect Jennie and I and now, he disrespected Naeun. What a fucking jerk.

"Hm. He's like that at school too. So Naeun-ah, can you do Y/N unnie a favor?" She looked at me briefly before nodding her head.

"When I am not around and he visits the house, will you please be my eye?"

"Unnie, what does that mean? I'll give you my eye?" I smiled at her innocent and pure heart.

"No, baby. That means that you'll observe him for me so you can report to me what he does."

"Oh I get it now! Like at school, the teacher is mom's and dad's eyes. She reports to them what I do after class." Naeun is a really smart girl. For her age, she thinks way above than the rest.

"Yup. You got that right. You're so smart, Naeun-ah." I pinched her cheeks. "Just like you and Jennie unnie!"

When we reached the park, people are everywhere. But it's not that packed that I'll lose sight of Naeun. So when she asked me if she can play around, I let her be. I sat myself down on one of the benches.

My eyes followed Naeun's every move. I watched her play catch ball with the other kids. But I was distracted with the buzz on my pocket.

Hey Y/N. I just wanna ask if we're still going out tonight?

Oh shoot. I forgot to text her when we got home. But in my defense, I was so damn tired after the whole day out. Plus, I was hurt that I fell asleep with tears streaming down my face.

I totally understand, Y/N. I kinda figured that out too.

Okay great. I'll be ready by then. I can't wait to see you!

I put my phone back in my pocket and looked back at where Naeun is but instead of her playing catch ball, she's now playing dolls with them. How I wish I can be a kid once more. A kid who is free to do what they want without other people judging them. A kid who doesn't have to make big decisions that would affect their whole life. A kid who is happy and problem free. How I wish I am still a kid. I wish Jennie and I are still kids. Everything were better back then.

"Unnie, c'mon. I'm hungry." I was removed out of my trance by Naeun's small hands. I looked at my wrist watch and see that it's already 11:45am.

"Okay, let's get back home, princess!"

It's currently 6:15pm and I just got out of the shower. When Naeun and I arrived home earlier, thank God that Kai isn't there anymore. We had lunch with small talks here and there but I never mentioned him again, afraid that mom's gonna scold me for the second time. Then I went to my room and fell asleep. I woke up at around 5:45pm and here I am now, standing in front of my whole body mirror staring at my own reflection.

"What should I wear?" I said out loud while rummaging through my closet. The weather these past few days have been unpredictable. In the mornings, the wind breeze would bring chills to your spine. But as the day goes on, the sun would shine so bright and too much heat would be felt. But considering that it's night time, I'll just wear something for the cold.

I pulled out my jean jacket and black Adidas hoodie. I'll pair it with black ripped jeans. I got dressed and tied my hair up.

I looked at myself once more in my mirror when a knock was heard.

"Come in."

"Hey." I turned my head to the door and saw Jennie standing on the door frame. "You going somewhere?" She closed the door and sat down on my bed. I was still fixing myself so I just looked at her through the mirror.

"Yup." I said popping the p. "Mina and I will go to the pier."

"Hang out?" I hummed.

"Not a date?" Confused on why she's asking this, I turned around to face her. She has this unreadable expression but she's still as cute as ever. What are you doing to my poor heart, Jennie?

"Just a hang out. Not a date." The blank face turned into a smile. I can't help but reciprocate the smile.

I walked towards her and bent down on her level to squeeze her dumpling like cheeks. "You're adorable. I know you're only looking out for me but trust me. I won't go down that same path once again."

I was surprised when she hugged me. She pulled my head and hugged me so tight like she doesn't want to let me go. I never want to let you go too. But I have to.

"Alright alright. I have to go now. I'll be back at 9. I love you!" I kissed her cheek and ran out of my room with a beating heart. Aish Y/N. Stop being obvious, will you?

I held my cheek where her soft lips landed. It's been 5 minutes yet I still feel the softness of her lips in there. I still feel her. And I still feel the fast pounding of my heart.

These past few weeks, I've been trying to avoid her. I avoided hanging out with the group knowing that she'll be there. I avoided making conversations with her. I also started hanging out with Taehyung. He's a nice and sweet guy but he's like the brother I never had. I just can't return his feelings for me.

I tried acting like she's not there, like she's not existing. But when I'm all alone in my thoughts, she's the only one I think about.

I know it's wrong for me to feel this way towards her. But what do I do? Everywhere I look, she's there. She reminds me of all the little things I see. This new feeling has caused a whirlwind of emotions. My duty as the student council's president is being affected that the head has already called me in.

I've tried to distance myself but the more I did, the more I craved her presence. The more I pushed my feelings aside, the stronger it got. What do I do?

Y/N and Mina are seating at one of the benches at the pier. It was a peaceful and lovely night. When Y/N picked the Japanese girl up, they went to a diner first to grab some dinner. They spent an hour in there just catching up with one another while enjoying their food. When they got to the pier, it's already 8:15pm.

The wind was blowing hard tonight. Lucky for Y/N, she's wearing thick clothes. As for Mina, she's wearing a long sleeved dress but you could tell that it's not enough as she was shivering because of the cold breeze.

"Here. Take this." Y/N put her jacket around the girl's shoulder to keep her from the cold. Mina looked over at Y/N and offered her a smile. She's still the same, sweet and thoughtful. She thought to herself but that made a frown make its way on her face.

She averted her attention towards the sea that is in front of her. She wanted to say something but it seems like the cat got her tongue.

Nobody was talking. They are silently seating beside each other. A warm chocolate drink on their hands that they got from the vending machine.

"Y-Y/N." Mina managed to speak out.

"Hmm?" Y/N replied while still staring in front of her.

"I'm sorry." Y/N remained silent. "I'm sorry for what I did."

It was the beginning of the school year. Y/N was very nervous. She's a freshman in a new school. She doesn't know anybody aside from her sister and her friends. It was lunch time. All of them had different classes so they decided to just meet at the cafeteria. But that's the problem, Y/N doesn't know where it's located on the huge campus.

The poor lost girl kept walking around not looking at where she's headed to. She's a shy girl. Because of that, she bumped into a figure in front of her. The person stumbled a bit. Luckily, they didn't fall down on their face since it was their back that Y/N hit.

Y/N rambled onto the stranger. The person turned around and revealed a squirrel looking girl. To Y/N's surprise, the girl had a smile on her face.

The still unknown girl reassured her that made Y/N release a relieved breath.

Sana extended her hand for a shake and Y/N took it.

It was just then that she saw another girl hiding behind Sana. She acknowledged the girl.

The girl stuttered. Y/N thought that it's cute. And there, she said it out loud. The two girls blushed deeply while Sana laughed at them.

The girl was snapped out of her trance and nodded.

The two got along that well after that day. They spent time with each other on the library since both of them are bookworms.

Through Y/N, Sana, and Mina, Jenchulichaeng met Momo, Sana and Mina's best friend. The five girls called them the J-line since all of them are Japanese.

Days passed by and Y/N fell for Mina. She courted her every single day for a whole month until Mina said yes. When Y/N was courting her, it was only kept as a secret since Mina said she's not yet out and she's scared. Y/N respected that so when they got together, it was still a secret.

In their circle of friends, only Jennie knows about the relationship. She accidentally found out about the two when she accidentally stumbled upon Y/N's unlocked phone and saw her home screen, a picture of Y/N kissing Mina's cheeks. That day, she confronted her sister and was able to let her tell the truth. Y/N begged her not to tell anyone for Mina's sake. Jennie agreed with that. She only want Y/N's happiness.

Everything was working well. But that is just what it seems. Because after freshman year, in summer where they were supposed to celebrate their 9th month, Y/N had her heart broken.

She went to Mina's place for a surprise only to see her kissing Woojin on their porch. Woojin is the guy who kept on courting Mina. The same guy Mina told Y/N not to be worried about.

When Mina heard the voice, she pushed the boy away from her and whispered something in his ear. He nodded and pecked her lips one more time before leaving.

By then, Y/N's heart was on the floor, crushed into tiny pieces. She was confused. She was mad. She was upset.

The broken girl managed to speak despite the tears that kept on falling on her face.

By now, she's overpowered with her anger. She has been cheated on. She has been betrayed.

Mina took a deep breath.

Y/N's tears continued to stream down her face. Her vision became blurry from the amount of tears but she can still clearly hear what the girl is saying.

With that, Mina got inside her house leaving Y/N crying in the middle of the night.

Mina held the crying girl's hand. Y/N knows that she had already moved on from her but remembering the pain that she felt from the past is like a sledgehammer hitting her over and over again.

"I-I'm really sorry, Y/N. I am so sorry for hurting you." Mina is already crying. If Y/N thinks that Mina is not affected by this, she is wrong.

"I'm sorry fo-for what I-I have d-one. But most im-im-importantly, I-I'm so-sorry for lying to y-you." She's bawling her eyes out. Y/N looked at her and reached out to wipe her tears away.

"Shh. It's o-okay. It's o-o-over n-now. It's a-all in the pa-st."

Mina tried to calm herself down. She wanted to say this straight and properly to Y/N, the girl she loved and still loves.

When she managed to calm down a bit, she grabbed Y/N's hands once again and looked at her in the eyes. "I'm sorry for lying to you, Y/N. What I said before has no truth. I didn't use you. You weren't my experiment."

Y/N looked at her confusedly. "I mean at the beginning, I was confused at what I am feeling. You're just too sweet and caring that I can't help to feel something special for you. When you courted me, I was glad that you did because I thought that maybe that'll make me find out what it is that I feel for you. And when we got together, you made me realize day by day that I am in love with you."
