"We've been walking back and forth for almost 30 minutes now yet we still have no food in hand!" The eldest of the five girls whined as she sat down on a rock. They have been walking around for quite some time so Jisoo's legs are kinda giving up.

But she's not the only one. "Right. I'm so hungry now. I feel like I could eat Jisoo eonnie alive." Rosé pouted and sat beside Jisoo.

"Aho! I didn't know you're that kind of person, Chaeyoungah." Lisa raised her eyebrows and wiggled them as she teased the girl. Y/N, Jennie, along with Lisa were trying to contain their laughter as they saw how the statement made the two girls' cheeks be filled with red in no time. They were blushing, blood rushing.

"That was not what I meant!" The accused girl stuttered, face still heating up.

"Whatever floats your boat, chipmunk." Y/N chimed in and pulled out a water bottle.

"Here. Yall drink some before we continue our search." She handed the bottle to the person closest to her which was Jennie.

"Thanks."

Y/N smiled softly at the older girl.

Jennie passed the bottle to Jisoo. And after all the girls have drank water, Y/N being the last, they walked once again in search of food.

"Hey look at that!" Lisa squealed in happiness as she saw a banana tree standing a few feet away from them.

Jennie smiled at the sight of the first food they found. She went to grab Y/N's hand but softly shrieked when the younger started running. She frowned and looked down at her empty hand. She was a few seconds late on grabbing Y/N for Lisa had already dragged Y/N away.

"Hey cheer up. It doesn't suit you." Jisoo whispered and dragged her cousin to the tree.

As they got there, all of them made efforts on getting at least 3 bananas each. So in total, they got 15 bananas.

After that, luck started getting on their way as they saw fruits after fruits. They were even lucky since they found some sweet potatoes, radish, pepper, and other vegetables.

Food hunting was indeed hard. But the girls could never deny how much fun they had while doing so.

However, Jennie felt sadness creep on her heart. She had fun, yes. But she can't ignore how her heart was breaking everytime she sees Y/N and Lisa together. The blonde haired girl keeps pulling Y/N wherever she goes. And that left Jennie missing Y/N's warmth.

"Buddy my ass. Y/N's my buddy yet I haven't even talked to her because of you." Jennie thought to herself as she watch the two walk happily and hand in hand in front of her. And because of that, she didn't notice the couple rocks laid in front of her. So when her foot got stuck between two medium sized rocks, she tripped and hurt her ankle.

"Ouch!" The scream made four heads turn to where the sound came from. And there, they saw Jennie sitting on the muddy ground, caressing her ankle, and tears streaming down her face.

Y/N's eyes widen at the horrible sight. In a speed of light, she went to Jennie and crouched down in front of her.

"Hey hey. It's okay. I'm right here." Y/N got her handkerchief and wiped the girl's tears. However, it won't just stop as Y/N saw how much in pain Jennie is.

The rest of the girls rushed to the injured girl's side as well.

"I'll take a look okay? I'll be gentle, I promise." With her left hand, she held Jennie's hand in hers and squeezed them softly, the gesture instantly made Jennie calm down. And with the right hand, Y/N softly lifted up the end of Jennie's pants only to see redness covering her ankle.

Y/N sighed as she knew that it will form an ugly bruise.

"It looks bad but don't worry. I'll take care of you." Jennie could only nod because even when she is in an excruciating pain, she can't ignore how her heart was beating so fast and her cheeks heating up. And even though she got into an unfortunate accident, she managed to smile as the event made Y/N pay attention to her. And that's all that she wanted. Y/N's attention. Y/N's touch. Y/N's warmth.

"I'll be carrying you back to the campsite okay?" Y/N stated and Jennie nodded.

"I'll take that for you, Y/N." Lisa got the plastic of vegetables and fruits that Y/N put down.

"Thank you."

And with that, the four girls walked back to the campsite while Jennie was in Y/N's arms.

When they got back to the campsite, the head teacher attended to Jennie's ankle as Y/N stayed by her side. And when he finished, everyone started eating. As for Jennie, Y/N fed her.

After lunch, they had a pair activity. But since Jennie is injured, Y/N begged the head if she can do the activity alone for Jennie and her and if she can do it in a place where she can keep an eye on the girl whom she cares about. Luckily, the head was kind enough to grant her request.

They made the students create three tripods. One for cooking and two that would serve as a stool for the pair.

The students would be graded based on the sturdiness of the outcome and if they would be able to utilize it. Meaning, if the stool can carry them without breaking and if the cooking tripod can hold a pot without breaking as well.

Everyone find it hard to make it sturdy. But for Y/N, it was easy because she's actually a grandpa's girl. So when she was younger, she would help her grandpa make things out of wood. And now, she's thankful for what her grandfather taught her.

An hour and a half after, Y/N finished the tripods and had them graded. Her and Jennie then received a full mark for that.

Y/N looked at her friends to see them struggling. That's why she walked over to them and told them useful tips. The head couldn't scold her for that as the rule only stated that "you can't do other pair's tripods." And she's not actually doing it. She's only helping them do it properly by giving tips. And through Y/N's help and their own hardwork, Jisoo and Chaeyoung, and Lisa and Bambam, also received full marks.

"I told you I can manage already, Y/N." Jennie pouted. It's already 7:30 in the evening and everyone is gathered as the campfire is about to start. After the accident a while ago, Y/N never left Jennie's side. She felt responsible for what happened to her as she failed to look out for her. So she made a promise to herself that she would never let Jennie leave her sight.

"I know but I still don't want to leave your side. So whether you like it or not, you're stuck with me now, Nini." Y/N smiled and looked in front of her.

Unbeknownst to her, Jennie actually loves how Y/N is with her right now. She loves every single bit of it.

The students are sitting on the stools that they made a while ago. But for the students who failed to make a sturdy one, they were left sitting on the ground because that's also a rule for the activity, "If you fail to do this activity, you would be sitting on the ground later on at the campfire."

As the campfire started, everyone got into conversations. It's actually a free time since it's almost bed time. The head wanted the students to interact with one another, without the presence of their phones. The head wanted the kids to be able to feel mother nature and just enjoy each other's company.

However, even with the campfire, the night air was still chilly making Jennie shiver in cold. And that didn't go unnoticed by Y/N.

The girl removed the jacket that she's wearing and wrapped it around Jennie's shoulder.

"No no. You don't need to do that. You'll get cold." Jennie refused and attempted on removing the jacket but Y/N just wrapped her own arms around Jennie. She pulled the girl closer to her and hugged her tight.

"It's okay. Don't worry about me. The jacket doesn't actually help me at all. I'm still cold even with it. But now that you're in my arms, I feel warm. Not just my body, but my heart as well." Y/N smiled down at Jennie and saw how beautiful the girl's eyes are under the stars and moonlight.

Jennie on the other hand can't control the happiness that she's feeling. Her heart is reacting in an abnormal way but she could only care less as she was too focused on feeling Y/N's heartbeat and repeating the girl's words in her head.

Y/N rested the side of her head on Jennie's and hugged her even tighter. She let out a sigh of contentment. "You shine like the stars, Nini."

These past few weeks had been rough for the two of them specially Jennie. But now that they are in each other's comfort, they couldn't help but be happy and savor the moment.
