《Shadow》Part six Logan's perspective

My text tone goes off.
Virgil takes my phone and smiles. "Looks like when you get sick nobody will be bothered, they all believed me." He says although I have training in martial arts I have seen how powerful he is, and would rather not enter into combat with him.
I fall asleep and when I awake I find that Virgil has already left. He unlocked my restraints, locked the door to the room and took my phone, but he did leave me food and a 10,000 piece puzzle. I have plenty of time to think about what he said. It seems as if he perhaps he doesn't care for being a 'villain' but rather he is simply doing this to be hurt. This is my fault isn't it, he knows that I would find traditional self-harm marks and therefore found a new way to do it. Yesterday he mentioned Patton during the fight and hurts him, I will kill him if he does.
Maybe if Virgil ever lets me go I will ask Patton on a romantic outing. But that will likely never happen perhaps if he allows it I can send Patton a letter expressing my deep emotions towards him. I find a pad of paper and a pencil and start writing.
Virgil is likely going to be back within the next few minutes, and exactly as I predicted the door to my cell- I mean room. "Virgil it would be greatly appreciated if you delivered this letter to Patton, and while I would appreciate if you didn't read it however I understand that you most likely will anyway," I say quietly. "I won't read it for your sake but if something happens because of this I will make your life a living hell. Starting with hurting Patton." He says the last part hesitantly as if he wants to sound intimidating but doesn't want to do as he is saying. "I am going to go and work but I will put on some classical instrument music for you I have found some of my music played with a violin.

I hear a beautiful violin playing death of a bachelor and singing along to it. And when I say I hear it I don't mean I hear a recorded version, Virgil plays many instruments and sings however he doesn't think that I know. He actually is extremely talented and it is rather fascinating to hear him play. After about an hour he brings me food and leaves again. He probably left to get beat up again.
It has been a few hours since Virgil left and I am honestly starting to worry. From what I know his trips out don't take this long normally. Suddenly I hear the back door open and then a barely alive Virgil stumbles into the room with his mask still on. I hop into action and start fixing up his injuries, they are very bad however I think I can treat them. He is badly treated and it looks like he has been whipped with fire. He starts to fall unconscious but before he does he says. " Pocket, phone, not Princey..." It takes me a moment to decipher what he meant, but when I do I grab my phone and call Patton. "Patton meet me at Virgil's house alone and I mean alone, tell nobody. I will text you the address." I say quickly into the phone. "I don't understand but I will be there asap." He says hanging up. I text him the address and resume medical treatment on Virgil.
It takes 17 minutes for Patton to arrive and find me. He stares at Virgil laying on his bed almost entirely naked with me trying to fix all of his wounds. "What do you need me to do?" He asks quietly. "There should be another first aid kit in the bathroom, after that I want you to come in here and lock the door," I say trying desperately to keep my voice from shaking and I think he can tell. "On it!" He says heading out. "Patton?" " Yes, Logan?" "Be careful." "I will."

He comes back a few minutes later with the first aid kit from the bathroom and locks the door. "Here, now what else can I do to help you?" "His body is going to react when I try to clean his wounds with alcohol so can you hold him down for me?" He doesn't even respond verbally, he just holds Virgil down. Virgil's body convulses when I press the alcohol swab to his burns. It takes a while but we manage to clean all of his burns, then we put burn cream on them and bandage him. "Now that we are done can we please put some clothes on him or at least a blanket." "Well trying to move him to clothe him could hurt him further but a blanket is a good idea," I say as Patton hands me a big warm blanket.
We sit down on my bed with some of the emergency food and a blanket. "So what happened?" I sigh. "It is a long story but, he got attacked by Princey or someone disguised as him. I had planned to visit him today to aid him with his school work and I found him in this state. He mentioned that Princey wasn't Princey but I was not sure if he was being literal or figurative." Patton just starts to cry. "Why would anyone hurt my dark strange son?" I take a deep breath and hug him. "I don't know Patton I really don't know, but you are staying here tonight and possibly tomorrow. It is the safest place for you to be, and you can help me care for Virgil. Does that sound adequate?" "So many big words, I know big words too. Saxophone..." "Patton let's get back to the point." "Oh yeah, I am fine with that anything for the two of you." I smile lightly and we fall asleep hugging each other tightly.
