"What?"
" up with him. Save yourself the emotional troubles that most definitely will occur, and break up with him." Zayn said.
Harry immediately shook his head. "I can't, I need him."
"No you don't." Zayn scoffed.
"After all you told me that night? He's obviously making your life worse."
Harry bit his lip. "Well I know I make it sound that way but at the end of the day he's not that bad. I really care about him and he cares about me. He makes me feel , regardless of everything else I've said."
"How does he make you feel good?" Zayn asked skeptically.
"He compliments me all the time. He gives me massages, he plays with my hair sometimes. He gives me confidence and support." Harry said.
"But he doesn't trust you, does things without telling you, and makes you question whether he loves you or not." Zayn said.
"Well...." Harry trailed off.
"Are you scared to be single?" Zayn asked.
"Yes." Harry .
"Being single is great. If you were single you wouldn't have to worry about him asking you a bunch of questions and not trusting you." Zayn pointed out.
"You can just do whatever you want."
"You don't understand though. I need someone. I need someone who gets me and makes me feel good and likes my jokes and likes cuddling and doesn't mind coming over just to sleep with me." Harry said.
"Louis is most of those things. I don't want to him."
"Fine. But don't let me see you crying over him anymore." Zayn said, giving up.
Harry frowned at him. "What?"
"Don't let me see you crying over him anymore." Zayn repeated.
"It bothers me."

"How?" Harry asked.
"It's sad! You deserve better. I-I mean anyone would." Zayn said.
Harry looked at him fondly. "Thanks."
"It's true. We all deserve someone who gets us completely." Zayn said.
"Well I'll never have that." Harry said sadly.
"Why not?" Zayn asked skeptically.
"Because nobody can get me completely if they don't know me completely. I'll have to put everything out there if I want them to understand it all." Harry said.
"True. But if you really think you love them it shouldn't be too bad. Especially not after they take every piece and put them together in a way you never could've imagined. Then suddenly the past is a blur and all you can see is the future. And you can't see the future without them in it. By your side the whole way." Zayn said quietly, smiling some.
Harry gazed at him, practically falling in love with his words.
"I think I'd be willing to open up for something like that." He said softly.
"Me too." Zayn said, surprising himself.
"Just have to find it." He added with a half smile.
"Yeah." Harry said, knowing that wasn't Louis.
He was wasting his time.
But he couldn't let Louis go.
He needed him.
His attention, his touch, his
There was no questioning it.
"Putting it all out there is scary though." Zayn said, thinking about it.
"Yeah." Harry said again, thinking as well.
"I'd have to feel one hell of a spark before anyone can know....me." He said.
Zayn looked at him. "Same."
"This is making me ." Harry admitted with a chuckle.
"Why?" Zayn asked, even though he felt the same way.
Harry made eye contact. "Because I don't have that. A spark. I never have."

"Me either. Though I've never really given it a shot. At least not sober." Zayn chuckled.
"Well you should. Take more risks." Harry said.
"Oh yeah? Sure, right after you do." Zayn scoffed.
"You know what? I will. Let's both agree next week that we're going to stop being so afraid and start taking more risks. We're going to find our sparks." Harry said, feeling inspired.
"How will you do that? You have a boyfriend." Zayn reminded him.
Harry licked his lips. "Okay, you find your spark and I'll take risks in bettering my relationship."
"Okay." Zayn chuckled.
"Deal?" Harry asked.
Zayn nodded. "Deal."

"What are you looking at?" Niall asked Zayn as he parked in the school parking lot.
"Harry drove himself today." Zayn observed.
"So?" Niall asked.
"He and Louis had a fight this weekend. I guess it isn't over." Zayn thought out loud.
"Wait, how do you know?" Niall asked, pulling out of the spot and backing in again, trying to get it perfect.
"Oh, I sort of hung out with him this weekend." Zayn admitted.
Niall looked at him. "You hung out with Harry Styles?"
"Yeah, we're getting along better now. We're friends." Zayn nodded.
"Excuse me, I thought I was your only friend." Niall said, acting offended.
"No, you're my best friend. He's just a friend. Plus I mainly hung out with him because he offered me food." Zayn chuckled.
"Oh, is that all it takes?" Niall smiled.
"Ya." Zayn said.
"But instead you ate a whole pizza and left me to starve." Zayn said, getting out of the car.
"I said I was sorry!" Niall laughed, getting out as well.
"Well I'm not over it!" Zayn argued playfully, the two walking towards the school now.
"I'll make up for it another time." Niall said.
"It better be diamonds!" Zayn called as they parted ways to go to class.
Niall's laugh echoed down the hallway, making Zayn smile.
"Zayn, hey." Harry said, trying to catch up to him.
"Oh, hey." Zayn said, stopping so he could.
It was as if Harry was jogging in slow motion all of a sudden.
Like Baywatch without the boobs.
Zayn's focus was mainly on his hair and the way it bounced as he jogged.
That, and the cross necklace he always wore constantly reflecting the light and leaving his chest because of the movement.
Zayn quickly shook his head, snapping out of it when Harry stood in front of him.
"Hi." Harry blushed, moving his curls away from his face and holding eye contact.
His blush brought his eyes out.
They had so much
depth.
Such
intensity.
So
sparkly.
So
pretty.
Now there was
heat.
Was Zayn
sweating?
They were so
beautiful.
"Zayn?" Harry frowned when he didn't answer and just stared at him.
"Fuck, uh, hey." Zayn stammered, blinking a few times and looking away.
What the hell was with him?

Summoner's Journey
[Before you read - the story is officially dead. The reasons behind it are posted in the last chapter.] In a magic world on the verge of an industrial revolution, Ari Ragnarsson must uncover the truth behind his parents' disappearance. They were part of an organization known as the Order, which protects mankind from various threats - both human and supernatural. Now, after Ari's brands finally manifest, he leaves the safety of his village and travels to the continent. Strength is all that matters in this world and he must learn how to control his powers. There, he meets a man from another world, who's being hunted for merely existing. Their fates become intertwined, but not in a way either of them would appreciate. Author's note (contains minor non-story related spoilers about the MC and setting) This is a progression fantasy with LITRPG elements sprinkled on top. The main character is not a spellsword, but a summoner/support mage hybrid. Since he wasn't ambushed by a random god, there's no cheat item/spell and he has to rely on his skills and wits to survive in a world full of monsters. The story tries to show the moment when the old starts to be replaced by the new, with a healthy dose of magic and a little steampunk in the background. Also, it revolves around a party dynamic akin to RPG sessions. No health/mana bars. Numbers are secondary and the LITRPG elements focus more on classes/spells/runes and their evolutions. Tables are sparse at the beginning, but from chapter 7 onwards they appear more often. Still, I won't be copy-pasting the whole character sheet dozens of times per chapter.

Strongly focused on progression with elements of the "rational" subgenre of fantasy. Magic academy.
