Whitney's POV
A Week Later
I checked my phone again hoping for another message from Zach. Text. Snap. Anything.
And nothing.
"Stop checking your phoneeeee. You're gonna drive yourself crazyyyy." Tate sang from the other side of the room.
"Yeah yeah, I KNOW." I said, throwing it at her.
She caught it just as it started buzzing.
"Ok that's freaky give it back." I said, staring at her.
She threw it back at me and I saw it was Gabbie. I answered it.
"Hey girl can you do me a favor pleaseeee?" She asked.
"Sure. What's up?"
"I'm rushing getting out of Gordy's to meet Jack for dinner. Any way you could maybe meet me down there and help me clean up so I can close up faster?"
"Uh. Sure. I'm on my way.
At Gordy's
I arrived at Gordy's and it was empty.
I looked around but couldn't find Gabbie.
I pulled out my phone and called her. "Gabbie where are you?"
"Oh yeah. I'm not there. I lied."
"Gabbie what-"
Suddenly, I heard music coming from the stage.
I heard a familiar voice singing our favorite song, "Buy a round for my best friends, they just got in town. They're telling me their love life's fucked, I'm calming them down. Then I'm wondering if I'll ever know what I found."

I turned around and saw Zach standing on stage.
He continued, "I'm stumblin' home
I'm stumblin' home. And I'm thinking about you. I'm stumblin' home. Just thinking about you. I'm stumblin' home. And I'm thinking about you. I'm stumblin', I'm stumblin' home. And wondering how we got so lost. I'm stumblin', I'm stumblin' home."
"Zach, what the hell are you doing?" I said, laughing at him.
"C'mon you gonna join me or what?" He said, dancing around the stage.
I shook my head and walked up to the stage. "Got myself a new lover they just locked me down. But tonight we're drinking too much Captain and Crown. After chasing each other all over this town.I'm stumblin' home. I'm stumblin' home. And I'm thinking about you. I'm stumblin' home. Just thinking about you. I'm stumblin' home. And I'm thinking about you..."
He sang, "Buy a round for my best friends, they just got in town."
Me "They're telling me their love life's fucked, I'm calming them down."
And together, we both finished off the song, "Then I'm wondering if I'll ever know what I found..."
He pulled me in close to him and I looked up at him.
"No matter what I say, no matter what I do, I'm always gonna love you." He said, looking me in the eyes.
"That's all I needed to hear." I said, crashing my lips onto his.
We heard cheering from behind us and pulled away to see all of our friends sitting in the audience.
We looked at each other and both laughed.
"Oh and uh, Jonah? I just wanna say, friends with benefits DOES in fact work!" Zach said into the microphone and pulling me in close to him and all of our friends joined us on stage in a group hug.

Threads
A legendary landmass long since believed lost to the world reappears in the seas of the island nation of Annitou, setting off a frantic race by the surrounding governments to acquire its allegedly powerful secrets. From every corner of the map comes settlers, merchants, pirates, and the strongest enforcers of each country's sovereignty: the Agents, individuals with unique, sometimes seemingly divine talents which can rival the power of even an army. However on the lawless frontier of the newly rediscovered island of Jinchi, national loyalties and personal ambition are put to the real test. Threads follows the interconnected stories of individuals from all strata of this world, from the lowly in-training cadets, to the mighty and seemingly invincible generals, to the otherwise innocuous and 'powerless' civilians. Each person holds a piece of the puzzle- but nobody can say how it will ultimately be put together.

Dragons of Dark Rebellion in A World of Essence
In a world where cultivation is the highest form of virtue, the purity of one’s blood is of absolute value. Saul is neither Arloni, nor Delcairan. He’s both. But when a strange ring suddenly falls into his hands, nineteen year old Saul is more than willing to push the boundary between fantasy and reality. However, things are not as they once were in Falden. At a time where Saul finally confronts lord Albryte’s sons after years of torment and abuse, his father’s health is fading fast. Suddenly faced with the consequences of his actions, Saul is forced to make a difficult decision. And as he fights his own battle, dark forces descend upon Lucidia. Followed by a pair of glowing red eyes, a stranger appears in the night, visiting Falden with unfavorable intentions. Even worse, nameless assassins strike at the heart of the capital, leaving Eliza Zaryph, the black sheep of the ruling house of Lucidia, shouldering the burden of governing a kingdom that once turned its back on her. As the world marches toward chaos, their lives take a drastic turn. Will Saul abandon those he holds most dear? Will Eliza drown herself in the past? Or will they struggle against fate and seize the future with their own hands? Tomorrow remains uncertain. But the Sun will show them the way. Author's Note: Inspired by the Wuxia/Xianxia genre the magic system is comprised of cultivating through different Worlds of power, where each World offers more strength and abilities. Currently there are five Worlds known: Essence Practitioner, Essence Channeler, Essence Warrior, Essence Conquerer, and finally Essence Ruler. (And for the best reading experience I recomend altering your width setting to about 70 or 80 percent on desktop.) Table of Contents: Prologue Part 1: Homecoming (chapters 1-12) Part 2: Journey (chapters 13-25) About 70 percent complete. I'll update this figure over time and begin posting again after I finish it and go through several rounds of editing.
