《》Chapter 26

Nix picks up Bella's limp body and carries her to one of the empty torture chambers and sets her down on a long metal table. While he does, he orders a few Cokara, two Guillos, and the mint chocolate chip looking Fae to get three crates of pure pollen and to lead Commander Dacan to the chambers. They follow the command effortlessly and soon return with the crates and a clueless Dacan walking a few steps behind them.
"Mornsok get 20 grams of pollen and mix it in a cup of boiled water. Add honey to it so she won't be able to taste the pollen. We'll wait till she wakes up," Nix orders, "XC-32, strap her in."
XX-32, a Cokara the size of a Great Dane, began strapping Bella onto an uncomfortable looking metal table with leather straps. Each limb of hers was spread out to each corner of the table as XC-32 ties her down to to the metal. The Cokara hooks the metal clip through the last hole, making the leather tightly wrapped around her wrists and ankles.
"Dacan, follow me," Nix commands, walking out the door and into the hallway.
"Yes, Boss." Dacan walks with confidence out the room only to meet Nix's vicious looking face.
"Dacan."
"B-Boss?" Dacan stutters, his whole body screeches to a stop. His demeanor shifts from nonchalant to frightened with a second.
"Would you like to explain to me why you led Drew to the control room of Sector H? A sector that he resides in?" Nix asked, eerily calm despite the livid look on his face. He was outraged and was looking for someone to sink his claws into. That someone would be Dacan.
"S-s-sir, I-I was ju-just leadi-"
"Cut the shit, Dacan. You lead him to the control room. I have eyes and ears everywhere. Did you not think I would have found out?" Nix yells, his eyes quickly flashing to a pitch black before reverting back to his cold, grey eyes.

"Boss, I-I don't s-see why it's such a b-big deal. He is only a-a puny h-human."
"He may be human but they are resourceful creatures. They have brains, unlike some creatures I know," Nix spits out. Dacan, a prideful Guillos, instantly got offended as Nix insinuated that he had no brains.
"Sir, I assure you I have brains. Drew won't be a problem. He is dumber than I. I am offended that you can't see that. Resourceful or not, he won't remember a thing. I knocked him out."
"Wow, you really are dumb. Dacan, you are henceforth stripped of your title and your duties. You are now labeled a prisoner since you are too dumb to properly do anything useful in this ship."
Dacan's body shakes with anger. Not thinking rationally, or at all, he pounced on Nix. Both of them end up on the floor as Dacan quickly lands a few punches to Nix's face. Nix was shocked for a second but quickly reacts and flips his body so that he is on top.
Faster than a blink of an eye, Nix shifts into his true form. His black, inky skin entangled with strands of gold outlining his veins. His horns sprout on top of his head and his teeth sharpen to look like vampire fangs. Except it's all of his teeth, not just two. His eyes shift to a soulless black and his fingers and nails stretch into talons.
Dacan freezes in fright as he stares at Nix. He had never seen his true form. Those who have, never lived to tell the tale. With a quick swipe of his claws, Nix lays on top of an unconscious Dacan. He would not give him the mercy of death.

The Unity takes all recruits to make matters worse, including the mythics! Are we talking about the same planet? (Reader discretion is advised; Contains Graphic Language and Potentially Excessive Swearing) *¹ Carioca = demonym of someone from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. *² humble and/or hardworking Cariocas = not necessarily mythics, ordinary ones actually exist. *³ precious = inasmuch every living planet is precious. Editor's Note: Someone disable his permission to edit the draft on UnityDocs, please! Hello, I'm McKing and I aim to write an original story with elements I've never seen put together before. Feel free to point out any mistakes you see — I'm not a native speaker, so I'm sure a few will pass me by. Sci-fi; Humor; (Brazilian) Urban Fantasy; faint shades of LitRPG. **Be warned it has a bit of an (absurd) slice-of-life beginning though the story is being subtly (I hope) worked on and eventually shifts gears (a bit). I planned to say that from the beginning, but I forgot to add it.** I hope that you enjoy it and that I can grow as a writer with your contributions. No Fixed Update Schedule. My inspiration comes in bursts and so will the Chapters. Sorry if that displeases you (I love regular updates too), but I'm afraid that's the best I can do for now. Keep in mind that it is a work in progress and things can eventually change a bit - I'll try to always note the changes. Sorry for the bad cover, it was the best my sorry skills could do! I hope you enjoy it,Mcking
