《Helluva Boss: Hellish Love (Loona X Original Character)》Chapter 2: Reality Breaking

After some point of this Loona talking to this guy I nearly about shat myself at what I saw next, some kind of small devil man with striped horns walk up to them casually and arguing, I have never seen anything like it at least nothing as that freaky to see and I once saw a guy of his face on ICE pulling out his teeth with plyer saying that "They're not mine and I need to get rid of them".
Whilst still keeping my cool and not saying anything, I continued to watch with more interest even this Loona girl seemed to know this thing and argued with it, I look at the people around and they don't seem to notice this thing, either that or they did but since the majority are on drugs anyway they think its an illusion.
Eventually I mustered up the courage and paced myself closer towards them were it was better to hear them all better, I got close enough to make out Loona yelling "Grr what does it matter to you?! You're not my real dad! I was almost 18!" the small demon yelled back with his arms crossed "It still counts!" Loona got emotional and yelled back "Well it shouldn't, I didn't need you then asshole! And I don't now". I couldn't believe what I had just heard, Whoever Loona was she was from what I could gather an Adopted child?! to a small Demon man?!
Anyway the demon man walked away and Loona looked sad, even though I was shit scared I still weirdly enough felt bad and wanted to comfort her and I walked began walking towards her and the other guy in which I heard him say "Damn girl that was savage, you okay?" as he put his hand on her shoulder in which she blushed and said "Yeah I'm fine, he'll get over it...he always does". He complemented her and walked away leaving her be and so I approached her and asked "Hey are you alright, sorry for disturbing you but you seemed a bit down" she quickly turned around surprised that anyone would approach her and she blushed heavily upon seeing who it was, it was the guy that she noticed glance at her as she passed him.

Loona stuttered "h-huh um yeah I guess I am" Carter introduced himself "Thats good to hear, I'm Carter by the way, Carter Ryan". He stuck out his hand and Loona looked at it hesitantly but she nonetheless shook his hand whilst still blushing "H-hi my n-names L-loona" Carter smiled and asked her "So what brings you to a place like this, I saw you earlier in the crowd, you obviously don't care much for this concert about as much as I do?" he said in a chuckle which made Loona laugh a bit before she came up with a lie saying "No I just heard about and thought I would come down to check it out, but its fucking terrible" Carter laughed in response knowing full well it was a lie and played the oblivious and continued on to say "Well that makes the two of us".
All of a sudden a giant fish like monster appeared out of the water and roared causing everyone to turn around at the commotion, It walked up the beach and crushed a guy splattering blood on the people covering them, some of the blood came towards Carter and Loona but Carter stood in front of her catching it on his face causing him to spit some of it out. Everyone on the beach ran away screaming.
Once the crowd had cleared it Left Loona, Carter and two other unknown demons standing by the water that looed similar to the one that Loona was talking with before but they were smaller and looked slightly different but were both colored Crimson. The massive monster them picked up a table with a keg on and threw it towards where Carter and Loona was, Loona screamed as she watched it fly towards her. Carter yelled out "HIT THE DECK!" and tackled her out of the way and the keg and and table embedded itself in the sand next to them. Loona looked up at Carter and he looked down at her, she didn't know what to think, a human saving her life and not being afraid what so ever. Carter muttered out "L-loona are you alright my dear?" he said as he help her up to her feet and wiping off the sand that covered her clothes. Loona replied "Yes I'm fine thank you for saving me back there" Carter with a shit eating grin cockily replied "You can pay me back later" which caused Loona to blush heavily and sweat slightly.

They both turned back to face the monster which had used it's long tongue to grab one of the small demons and eat it which caused Loona to gasp and place her hands on her face in disbelief and say "Holy shit Moxxie!" at this stage what ever sanity Carter had left had gone, his grip on reality went and he ran to the water by the other demon who by that time had unnecessarily killed a man for his alcohol to make a Molotov Cocktail lighting it and throwing it at the beast causing it to stumble back a bit and fall over.
Carter smiled evilly at the female demon standing next to her with the blood splatter on his face and asked her "Do you need a hand?" the female demon that is called Millie had a look of shock on her face that also turned into an evil grin and said "Sure thing lets take this fucking thing down!" Both Carter and Millie swam towards the Giant beast, Millie stabbing it in the neck region and using the knife as a handle whilst it was rising up and carter had used its gills as a ladder and climbed its whiskers to reach it's face with Millie and helped her open it's mouth. Which surprised Millie even more as she thought a human like him couldn't be that strong, she thought something was off about him but didn't question it, Carter even cracked a joke saying "So come here often?" he said whilst chuckling which Millie just smiled and "The names Millie" whilst reaching for Moxxie's hand and pulling him out. Carter took the knife from Millie and used it to cut Moxxie free and replied to Millie "The name's Carter love" Moxxie was then sling shot towards the beach where he was caught by the demon that Carter saw Loona talking to before.
Loona stood there mouth gaping in shock at what Carter was going, she though to herself "Who the fuck is this guy?! whilst yelling out loud to her self "Carter is a fucking badass!" Meanwhile Carter and Millie were beating tha ever absolute shit out of this monster fish's tongue, Millie was punching it whilst Carter was stomping on it which caused the monster pain causing it to flail about erratically and then flung both Millie and Carter in the air. Millie was ready to slice the fucking thing whilst Carter tapped his elbow ready to piledrive into it saying to Millie "Ready for the finisher!" Millie just smiled as they fell down towards it.

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)
