《The boy down the river》Chapter 11

(Marco's POV)
I woke up with a pain in my head, my vision was blurry for a few seconds. When my eyes focused I looked around, I was outside the woods. Then I rolled over to face the beach.
Reed was lying there, so warm, so peaceful, I had an urge to snuggle up to him.
I slowly wrapped my arms around him, hugging him tightly. "Huh? Wha?"
He woke up and my eyes widened, "I-I were you-?" he stopped talking and hugged me tighter. "I missed these hugs y'know. Did I do something wrong to make you leave me? If I did I can try to make it up to you!" My mouth hung open slightly in surprise.
"Why didn't you tell me you were a siren?"
"I-I'm so sorry! I was going to tell you but I was afraid you were going to do somethin-!"
I kissed him, it felt so right. I shouldn't think again that it wasn't. I shouldn't have left him because of who he was. I shouldn't have judged him.
Sirens' scales and sharp teeth were hunted often, even if it was illegal. That fancy-looking lady was probably running from the SSHSM, who track down siren and mer-people killers.
I stopped the kiss.
"I love you no matter what, river-boy."
I rolled over and landed into the river. Reed closely followed me. I stood up in the deep water that reached my chin, the water only reached just below Reed's shoulders, I wasn't short at all, now that I thought about it Reed looked about 6,4ft! I shrugged it off and cracked my secret evil plan....
I told Reed to cover his eyes then I dunked down into the water and swam behind Reed. I stood up again and saw that Reed was still covering his eyes, I placed my hand over his eyes, pushing away the hands covering his eyes. I wrapped my legs around his legs and I moved my hand to his waist. "River-Boy~~~ You alright like this, my love?" I whispered in his ear, "Marco, what are you doing?" He asked, mildly flustered. I released the hand covering his eyes and placed it around his waist like my other hand. He could see now and looked behind him too see me wrapped around him. He pulled me off of his back.

I decided to leave the cold water and visit the forest but with Reed this time. "Are you sure this is safe, Marco?" He asked, a step away from entering the woods. "Well I was safe last time I went in there...." I answered, confidently, "Last time you went in there you went inside a cave with a dangerous monster in it, the reason you passed out was because it doesn't like it's victims moving around while it rips them apart." He explained, with a cold look in his eyes. "Wait did you save me from it?" I asked, now genuinely confused.
"Well yeah. I couldn't leave you to die, you're important to me. I never felt what I felt with you before, nobody else ever sparked anything in me. You are the light in my life, the spark that lit my life up. You are everything to me."

Knight and Smith
Secrets once thought lost are coming to light... Orin, a young thief turned mercenary, is returning to his home for the first time in four years. Orin wants nothing more than to reconnect with his family and settle down in the city he loves, but fate is fickle and has another destiny in mind for the swordsman. Now bound to the Princess of the Realm in ways he doesn't fully understand, Orin finds himself thrust into the world of Nobility, where no one can be truly trusted and his friends are few and far between. To ensure his survival, and that of the entire Kingdom, Orin must learn to harness the power of a Knight and work with the Princess Elora to protect those they both love, all while dealing with psychotic Knights, a mad King and Elora's own protectors. Well, if nothing else, I'm sure it will be an adventure. This is one of the ideas I've been working on for a while and wanted to see how far I can go with it. There's nothing really original here, just something fun I wanted to explore a bit more. Chapters will be posted once a week on Sundays at five pm GMT. Thank you for reading and I hope that you enjoy Knight and Smith!

The Edgars
A serial killer is wreaking havoc in a small European village, and Charles Edgar believes his estranged brother to be the culprit. But little does he know that a much darker truth lies behind the bloodshed; one that will bring betrayal and destruction to the entire Edgar lineage. (This is a one-act play. A (beat) indicates a pause in the dialogue.) Also, please feel free to rip this story apart in the reviews (if you're so inclined). I really want to improve as a writer, so any criticisms are more than welcomed.

Lament of The Demiurge
The Great Law of Blood is simple: when you kill someone, you take their EXP. When you get enough EXP, you level up. When you level up, you become better at killing people. The cycle has continued since before the time of the gods and has been going on thousands of years after they died. It's a good thing, of course. It rewards punishing the evil creatures of the world: goblins, kobolds and other sorts of terrible monsters. It will surely go on for eternity.
