Once when The King Akbar

Was going for a bath in the lake,

He was with his two sons

And Birbal for some helping sake.

Birbal held their clothes

When the three of them went,

In the water, they enjoyed the bath

To Birbal, glares Akbar sent.

Then Akbar thought something funny

And irritated Birbal to get some glee,

"Birbal you are surely holding

A load of a whole donkey."

Birbal could not bear to listen

And do not reply to the joke,

"No My Lord, not just one

The load of three donkeys." he spoke.

Akbar's mischievous mood

Soon realised that the joke was,

Turned on him and his sons

He teased Birbal just because.

So he took his step backwards

In messing with that vast mind,

And believed the fact more firmly

Answers for him are hard to find.

So that's how 'The Clever Birbal'

Proved himself the smartest of all,

And with his great skills, he won

The hearts of the crowd in the hall.
