A casual outfit on my body was reflected on the mirror, as I fixed my hair into a pony tail. A sigh escaped my lips, today was going to be great, but I wasn't feeling it. A sudden knock on the door interrupted me, I turned around as I heard the door slightly opening, making a creepy sound.
''Are you set and done Lily?'' My dad asked, his body standing still. I turned around, smiling at him.
''Let's go.'' I grabbed my book pack and we headed to the car. I opened the door and got in, and then my dad was inside too. He started the car and we drove down the driveway. The car ride was silent, as usual. The only sound we could hear was the one coming from the cars, beeping and the one coming from the radio, as a song from OneRepublic made its way to my ears.
''You look tired.'' He spoke, breaking the lack of words traveling between us.
''I feel tired,'' I blurred out a small chuckle. ''I don't know, I'm not in the mood for the same routine.'' He didn't say a thing. Like always. My dad was a man of no words. And if he did say something, it was something important. He never lurked into my life, but he always cared. I was his little girl and his love for me was something deep and meaningful. After a not-so-long drive, I got to the campus. I kissed goodbye my dad and got out of the car, only to find Matt talking with someone at the entrance. She was blonde and pretty, made me feel kind of jealous. Why did he always talk to blondes? He was laughing, as I slowly paced toward him. His eyes met mine and he waved at me, offering me a smile.
''Hey there!'' He hugged me really tight, the girl accompanying him, glancing at us with a crooked smile dancing on her lips. ''See you tomorrow then.''
''Sure.'' The girl said, waving goodbye at him. She walked away from us, but he was still hugging me tight.
''You have to skip class today.'' I looked at him surprised.
''Are you serious?'' He nodded, pressing his lips together. ''Where are we going?'' I asked, curious.
''Just tell your dad I'll get you home safe.'' I nodded, taking my phone out of my pocket. He grabbed my other hand, tight and we walked over to his car. The sound of his keys caught my attention, as I tried to type a coherent message to my dad with one hand only.

I noticed from inside the car the trees, standing brave and still as we made our way through the lonely road. The song coming from the radio was the one from a Spanish speaking band I didn't know nothing about, until that day. His hands were tapping along to the song on the steering wheel, yet he didn't lose his focus on the road.
''I can't believe you,'' I pointed at him. ''Are skipping class!'' He giggled. ''Where are we going?'' I asked, my head supported on the window.
''We're going to three places, this is the first one.''
''I am so confused right now.'' I let out a nervous chuckle, biting my lip. I started to think about his favorite places and the images that I've seen so far, didn't make any reference to any of them.
''Here we are,'' He suddenly swerved the car, at one side of the road. He unbuckled his seat belt, and so did I. We got out of the car and I was more confused than ever. ''Let's go.'' He asked for my hand and with no hesitation I gave it. We made our way into the woods and it made me think about the possible situations that could happen. My thirteen year old fan girl made its way to my thoughts, making me contemplate any Twilight situation. A nervous laugh escaped my lips, making his attention toward me. His eyebrows furrowed and I shook my head, trying to say there was nothing to worry about.
''Are you a vampire, Matt?'' I joked, he laughed. His laugh made me smile, it was definitely one of the most beautiful sounds I've ever heard.
''I'm about to suck your blood,'' He followed the joke. I laughed and then he let go of my hand. ''Now speaking seriously,'' He cleared his throat. His body was standing in front of me, but his facial expression was none. His lips were in a straight line. ''I wanted to escape the routine for awhile, I came here during Spring Break,'' I remembered he was in the woods. I kept listening. ''I used to come here and think about you.'' My heart became smaller. In a good way.
''So, you spent your Spring Break in that house?'' I asked, pointing at the wooden house at a fair distance from us. Then I met his eyes and he nodded. The lines coming from the corner of his eyes were showing and then he suddenly cupped my cheeks, staring into my lips, he pressed his against mine. Our lips moved in complete synchronization and the mood was definitely magical. The sound and feeling of nature around us made me feel like walking on air and knowing he was the one I was kissing, made me forget about everything wrong, boring and tiring of my life.

After our little road trip to his house hidden between trees, we made our way back to town. I slept all the way, until we got to a restaurant. The sign read, 'Italian Bistro' and it made my lips turn into a crooked smile. He unbuckled his seat belt and then he made his way to my door, opening it for me and then shutting it behind me.
''Location number two.'' He grabbed my hand, and then we made our way toward the insides of the restaurant. Italian music was being played. Easily recognized due to a few words I knew about the language. The smell of the food captivated me at an instance and the lady holding two menus greeted us with a smile.
''Here's your table Mr. Galdieri.'' She walked in front of us, pointing at the table for two right in front of the big window, showing us the outside surrounding the restaurant.
''Thank you.'' He said to the lady, who handed us two menus. I fixed my seating position as he opened the menu, glancing at it focused.
''I'll be there,'' She pointed at a spot a few steps away from us. ''Call me when you're ready.'' I mouthed the words 'thank you' as she left the two of us alone.
''If I knew we'd come here, I would've dressed up differently.''
''It doesn't matter how you look, Lily.'' He looked at me and then went back to choosing a plate. I gulped, feeling like I didn't belong at all. The place was really fancy and me being in white converse, a simple t-shirt and my usual skinny jeans made me feel like I was some weird girl who didn't know how to dress up. Damn you Matt.
''We are eating,'' A chuckle escaped my lips. I remembered the moment where 'I love you' almost escaped my lips. ''Feels good to escape the routine.'' I stated, nervous.
''I wanted to make this day really fun and out of the ordinary.''
''Good job Galdieri.'' He offered me a gentle smile as he made a sigh with his hand, to get the lady's attention. The sound of her heels clicking on the floor caught my attention. He ordered Spaghetti and I ordered Lasagna, my favorite.
''Are you having fun?''
''I am.''
''Lily,'' I looked at him. His eyes were glowing. ''How long have we been together?''
''I count two months, approximately.'' Two months, exactly. But I didn't want to sound like those crazy girls who count the days.
''Will it be wrong if I say that I love you?'' I couldn't process any other thought than those words. I could easily feel my knees trembling and my throat didn't let me say anything else. So I shook my head no and smiled. ''I do. I love you and I want to spend my days with you.''
''Why me?'' I asked, almost crying. I loved him too, but I was afraid to say it out loud. It was scaring the crap out of me.
''Because you are different. You are not like many girls I know and when I'm with you, I feel like it's with you I have to be with,'' He sounded so sincere. ''You are beautiful and your smile is insane and when you talk about something you like, it makes you look cute and funny. You are worth every second spent and I love you.'' He always said the same thing to me, but I never got tired.
''I love you too.'' I held his hand, feeling a small tear falling from my right eye. I wiped it with my other hand and smiled, letting a nervous chuckle escaped my lips.

''Location number three.'' My place. I chuckled. We got out of the car at the same time. I opened the door, letting him come in first.
''Lily?'' My mother's voice made its way to my ears, catching my attention. She walked over to us.
''Mom, this is Matt.'' They shook hands.
''Nice to meet you.'' My mom offered him a gentle smile and then I saw my dad walking from behind.
''We just ate some Italian and I brought her to you, safe and sound,'' My dad crossed his arms, against his chest. ''Matt Galdieri, nice to meet you.'' He shook my dad's hand. It was a nervous feeling having him here, meeting my parents.
''Please, make your way.'' My mom pointed at the living room. I sat next to him, on the couch. His arm was wrapped around me. Both my parents were sitting across to us. They started to ask him questions and he answered them, with no hesitation. His hand then, made its way to hold mine. And I held it so tight, making him feel like everything with us was going to be just fine.
