"For crying out loud...Why does every time I enter the hallway, I always got lost?" Ayame thought, sighing. She kept walking until she came across with Daichi and a short haired, female student, who were talking to each other. Ayame felt her lips twitch upwards and tried to quietly pass them but Daichi saw her. Damn, he's sharp.
"Oh, Ayame-chan, what are you doing here?" Daichi asked her. Ayame's face turned red and muttered "Nii-chan, I got lost..."
The captain sighed and ruffled her hair "Same sense of direction as always..."
"W-wait, Sawamura, is she the girl that you told me before?" the short haired female student asked him.
"Yeah, she is. Ah, Ayame-chan, this is Michimiya Yui, the team captain of the volleyball girls team" Daichi said, gesturing at the short haired female.
"Hello, Michimiya-san, I'm Mizuki Ayame, from Class 4! And I'm the coach of the volleyball boys team! Nice to meet you!" she loudly said, shaking hands with her vigorously "What position do you play, Michimiya-san?"
"Ah...Wing spiker" she replied, surprised at her loudness.
"She tends to be a little loud when volleyball is mentioned, sorry about that" Daichi whispered to Michimiya."She's really cute, too..." Michimiya thought.
"Amazing..." Ayame gasped at her, sparkling. Then she paused and slowly grinned and innocently asked "Are you Daichi-nii's girlfriend?"
...
...
"EEEEHHH?!" both third years jaw dropped and Michimiya's face was beet red. An embarrassed-looking Daichi quickly clamped Ayame's mouth shut and scolded her "What are you talking about?!"
"A-ah...n-no...n-no...wh-what a-are y-you t-talk-king a-about, Ayame-chan? O-of c-course S-Sawamura is n-not m-my b-boy-fri-friend..." a very red faced Michimiya stuttered. Of course, Ayame knows that she really likes Daichi. It was pretty obvious. Students in the hallway are looking at them weirdly and some of them are snickering.
"Sorry about that, Michimiya. Excuse me, we need to leave. I'll escort her back before she gets lost again" Daichi bowed in apology.
"S-sure..."
Daichi dragged a grinning Ayame back to her room. The captain scolded her for jumping to conclusions about Michimiya being his girlfriend and she nodded and apologized. While they were walking, Ayame couldn't resist asking him.
"Nii-chan, you also like Michimiya-san, right?" Ayame asked. The captain was silent and was not looking at her "My, my, my...what's this? Is the captain of the Karasuno Volleyball Team a tsundere?" she said, poking him in the arm.

"I'm not...Shut up, Ayame-chan"
"Then tell me the truth, tsundere nii-chan..."
"Ugh, fine...I dunno, Michimiya has been my friend since junior high and we both share the same responsibility as the team captain..." Daichi answered quietly. Ayame smiled and told him "You like her then..."
The captain slightly nodded while lightly blushing. Ayame broke a huge grin before screaming "KYAAAAH! YOU REALLY LIKE HER!! YOU ACTUALLY LIKE MI-" but Daichi covered her mouth before she could finish, causing other students to look at them weirdly.
"Don't tell anyone about this, Ayame-chan. Please...not even Sugawara should know this..." Daichi pleaded at her, fearing that the gray-haired setter will tease him endlessly.
"Hai! Nii! You can count on me!" she said, saluting. Daichi ruffled her hair and smiled "Oh shut up..."
*Timeskip*
"Mizuki-san!"
Ayame was surprised that someone called her and looked around, and saw Hinata and Kageyama "Hi, Shoyo-kun, Kageyama-kun! Sorry if I didn't come in the gym earlier. I was a little busy"
"Don't mind it! Mizuki-san, listen! We met Karasuno's ace, Azumane Asahi-san!" Hinata told her, jumping up and down "And we also met a really cool senpai named Nishinoya-san, who is a really awesome libero! He received Kageyama's serve like whoosh!"
"So we actually had a libero from the start!" Ayame thought, grinning.
"Eh?! Really?! Then, why aren't they in the club?" Ayame asked. Hinata stopped jumping and had a disappointed look in his eyes "Well, Nishinoya-san said that he won't return back to the club if the ace is not back. So, Kageyama and I tried to ask Asahi-san to return but he said that he's not returning back to the club because he is no longer the ace..."
"But...you said that he's the ace..."
"He was the ace. Sugawara-san explained that during their match against Date Tech before, Azumane-san was always blocked and he placed the blame on his self and quit the club because he said that he no longer sees his self as the ace..." Kageyama explained to her.
"Date Tech...aren't they school known as the Iron Wall?"Ayame thought.
"That's why, Mizuki-san, please! Please try to ask the ace to return!" Hinata begged "I know you're good at convincing others so please, try to convince Asahi-san!"

"Please ask him!" Kageyama pleaded at her, bowing.
...
"No" Ayame answered, flatly "Even if I managed to convince Asahi-san to return, he won't be able to play at his fullest because he didn't return on his own free will. You guys said that Asahi-san left on his own and placed the blame on his self so...it's not my position to decide, it must be on Asahi-san's decision if he wanted to play volleyball or not. And also about our libero...it's his decision if he wanted to return with or without the ace"
"Mizuki-san..."
"And...if you guys meet Asahi-san, please tell him that no one's blaming him about their loss, and he should stop blaming his self about it...I think the ace is not the only person they depend on. There are others who are also fighting like him...like Suga-san and the libero, Nishinoya-san..."
Ayame closed her eyes and sighed deeply after explaining to them. She hoped that she didn't destroy their hopes of making the ace return back to the club. She could tell that they were eager for it but it was up to the ace's decision. Instead of anger and disappointment, Hinata's eyes were even sparkling in excitement.
"Okay, we understand, Mizuki-san!" Hinata said "Even if the ace is gone, I'll keep fighting like an ace for the team!!"
Ayame smiled at him "Go for it, Shoyo-kun!"
"Heh, an ace at shitty receives..." Kageyama told them.
"Shut up!"
Unknown to them, the ace was listening to their whole conversation. He felt touched and left, thinking about what the girl said.
*Timeskip*
Ayame was about to head back to her room when he spotted Hinata talking to another student with dark brown hair. The stranger was surprisingly shorter than Hinata and had a small amount of dyed blonde hair above his forehead. Hinata saw her and waved a hand "Mizuki-san!"
As she approached them, the stranger suddenly hid behind Hinata's back and was peeking at her, blushing.
"Nishinoya-san, you okay?" Hinata asked him, confused.
"Cute..." Nishinoya said, staring at her face "Shoyo, who is she? She's really cute..." he whispered to the orange haired teen.
"Er...she's Mizuki Ayame from Class 4" Hinata said.
"Hello" she greeted him. Nishinoya was still hiding and stuttered "H-hello..."
"Mizuki-san" Hinata said "Do I really suck at receiving and serves?" the boy asked her with pleading eyes.
"Eto...to be honest, yeah, your serves and receives might use a little work..." she answered "But I couldn't exactly call it like what Kageyama-kun meant...you're a bit of a slow learner but I'm sure you can do it"
The boy brightened up in happiness "Thank you! Kageyama told me that my receives were shitty earlier and he stopped teaching me..." he pouted "so I asked Nishinoya-san, the libero, to help me with receiving!"
"Of course I would help you, Shoyo!" Nishinoya is no longer hiding and he is proudly pointing to his self "It's my job as the senpai to help his fellow kohai! And by the way..." he looked at Ayame shyly "M-my name's N-Nishinoya Yuu from Class 2-3"
"Don't forget to call him senpai when you meet him" Daichi told her.
"Right, he really likes to be called senpai" Sugawara added.
"You'll make him gleeful like an idiot, like Tanaka"
"Nice to meet you, Yuu-senpai!" she said, bowing at him. Nishinoya's face exploded in dark shade of red and fell on his back, mumbling "I-I'll...treat...ice-cream...later...Gari-Gari-kun..."
"What just happened?" Hinata asked, kneeling beside the mumbling libero.
"I think he fainted..." Ayame said, sighing "What's Gari-Gari-kun?"
Unknown to them, Daichi, Sugawara, and Tanaka listened to their whole conversation. Daichi sighed and Sugawara couldn't stop chuckling and Tanaka was comically crying.
"I guess it is to be expected he would blew a fuse if Ayame-chan called him senpai and his first name..." Daichi said, scratching his head.
"He overloaded" Sugawara chuckled "Being called senpai and by his first name by a cute girl is too much for Nishinoya to handle..."
"Noya-san...no...fair...damn..." Tanaka sniffled.

Child of the Ancients: An Apocalypse LitRPG
It all started in the middle of Dante's nap. He wanted to sleep his life away, but the system denied his request. Instead, it began to transform the Earth, integrating it into the multiverse by granting everyone stats and skills. He was talented, or so the system thought. And that meant he needed to be challenged. After being sent into a deadly cavern, Dante strives for the future he's always desired. But when he learns about the secrets hidden within him, he's shaken to his very core. He wishes for the nightmare to end until something goes wrong. [The world will end in one year.] Instead of everyone receiving a relatively gentle tutorial, the people of Earth are deemed redundant. Dante makes it his goal to save as many people as he can before the world ends, but with billions of lives at stake, he might have to turn into a monster before he can become a hero. Planned updates (2500+ words): M/W/F. 12pm AEST/ 9am EST. M-F during Writeathon. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Author's Note: All system apocalypse novels seem to jump straight over the apocalypse itself, which I find very sad. I don't want this to turn into a typical fantasy novel in about ten chapters. Instead, I hope to explore the destruction of society and how things would look if superpowers suddenly appeared in the real world. Before the real apocalypse happens, of course. There will be base building, and likely romance once things settle down. Also dragons, because they are awesome :)

Quest of the Seal Bearers - Book 1: The Warriors Return

Fantasma, leader of the global government, and his colleagues are determined to find cause of these attacks. but the search for answers points them to an ancient relic, The Book of War, a cursed artifact that can create indestructible creatures loyal to its master. It’s been over twelve thousand years since the Book of War was last opened. It was believed to be destroyed during the Great War by the Twelve Warriors and Daughter of the Sun at the cost of their lives. Now, it seems the book has resurfaced, and its new master is seeking to forever tip the balance of power. The stage is being set for another Great War but who can stop the Book of War once and for all? Meanwhile on Earth, the teen members of Greengale’s Action and Adventure Club are preparing for their yearly trip when they suddenly stumble upon a secret their parents have been keeping for years. Now their world is being turned upside down as they struggle to understand the legacy that ties their fate to Mendala and the Book of War. Is their destiny set in stone, or will they forge a different path? No matter what, their choices will bring forth a new era for Mendala. ------------------------------ If you love vast fantasy worlds, rich, fleshed-out characters, and a adventure where your'e constantly discovering new things along the way, then this is definitely a story you'll enjoy. This is a slow-burn high fantasy / adventure with many characters and intersecting plotlines. It’s a quest so lots of adventuring, exploring, and character moments, but not a ton of fighting/action (though there are definitely some great fight scenes as payoff to the buildup). Because it’s a fantasy world with lots of people and new concepts, I try to make it easy so that you don’t have to memorize anything. The narrative will constantly remind you of important people/places/concepts as you keep moving forward. Some things won’t be fully explained right at the beginning to avoid information overload. My goal is that the reader will learn things organically as the story progresses. I use two mechanisms to help with the intersecting plotlines. - Each chapter is named for the (main) plotline it’s following and which part. - At the beginning of the chapter, and anytime there is a scene shift, the location is listed. Also, though this is definitely a portal-fantasy (isekai) it’s different from the standard isekai, especially since the world transfer doesn’t happen immediately. It’s not Lit-RPG but characters gain powers and grow over time. Also, it’s a group of teens that transfer, not just one central character. All of the teens are distinct characters, with their own character-arcs, relationships, powers, growth etc. Hopefully you’ll find this interesting as you’ll see the world and story from multiple perspectives. The story is always in 3rd Person (Omniscient) POV so that it’s not jarring as perspectives shift.
