《Violet Eyes || Haikyuu!! Fanfiction ||》Chapter 14: Sketches

A few days later, the team continued practicing and Nishinoya is slowly starting to join in as well but still didn't want to return back to the club. He kept teaching Hinata at receiving and the boy was progressing. Nishinoya would always treat Ayame every time she called him Yuu-senpai, to which made Tanaka jealous that he wasn't called senpai. When Ayame decided to call him "Ryu-senpai", the said player literally ran around the whole school, screaming "She called me Ryu-senpai!! She called me senpai!!", with Nishinoya running and screaming alongside him.
"What are you doing, Mizuki-san?" Yamaguchi curiously asked Ayame, who quickly covered her sketchpad in surprise.
"No-nothing, Tadashi-kun!" Ayame said, despite knowing that lying to him is pointless.
"Were you...sketching?" the violet eyed girl nodded in embarrassment "Can I see it?"
"S-sure...just don't laugh, okay?" she said, giving him her sketchpad. Yamaguchi's jaw dropped upon seeing the first page, not believing what he saw "W-wow, Mizuki-san...this...this is amazing..."
Most of the sketchpad's contents are all about volleyball. He couldn't believe that she sketched the 3-on-3 match, their practices and the practice match against Aoba Johsai and each part was delicately detailed. She even sketched Kageyama and Hinata's super quick. There are words written in her neat hand writing on Hinata and Kageyama's side. He looked closely and realized it was the player's information:
*Kageyama Tobio, first year, Class 3, Setter
Speed, stamina, game sense, technique are probably 5/5
Great upper body strength for a setter.
Can calculate where and when Shoyo-kun will exactly hit the ball and toss it to him, resulting for Shoyo-kun to spike it even with his eyes closed.
Jump serves are good but he still can't control the ball properly yet.
His tosses pass the spiker's point of impact. I think Tsukishima-kun called it a "King's Toss"

*Hinata Shoyo, first year, Class 1, Middle Blocker, Decoy
Speed, stamina and jump are 5/5
His serves and receives could use some help.
He is more on offense than defence for a middle blocker.
With Kageyama-kun, they can perform their super quick.
"Wow, Mizuki-san!!" Hinata suddenly said, surprising Yamaguchi, looking at the girl's sketches "Those are really awesome!!"
"Hinata, quit popping like that again. You're like a mushroom suddenly appearing anywhere" Yamaguchi told him.
"Sorry, Yamaguchi! Are those Mizuki-san's sketches? So cool!!" Hinata excitingly said, grabbing the sketchpad from the teen and waved it to their black haired setter "Kageyama! Look at this!! Mizuki-san sketched our quick and it's so awesome!!"
"Huh?" Kageyama said, looking at the sketch "A sketch of our quick? Amazing..."
"Hinata looked smaller there" Tsukishima commented, smirking at Hinata.
"I'm not! Shut up Tsukishima!" Hinata angrily told him.
"Wait, something's missing with Kageyama..." Tsukishima said, looking closely at the sketch.
"Huh? What?" Ayame asked "I'm pretty sure I sketched Kageyama-kun right. What could I miss?"
"You forgot to draw him a crown and a robe, Mizuki. He's the king, remember?" Tsukishima said. Ayame gave him a deadpan expression and a vein popped on Kageyama's forehead.
"Stop. Calling. Me. King. Four eyes. I hate being called that word!"
"Eh? What's this?" Hinata asked, looking closely at the written words "Oh! Our name's written here!! Let's see mine...uhm...Hinata Shoyo, first year, Class 1, Middle Blocker, Decoy...Speed, stamina and jump are 5/5...His serves and receives could use some help..." the shorter teen stopped reading and awkwardly smiled "...true enough..."
"You could've just written "his serves and receives are shit"..." Kageyama noted.
"Isn't that a harsh thing to say?" Yamaguchi said.

"Hah?! My serves and receives aren't like that!! And you're so vulgar in front of a girl, Kageyama!!" Hinata told him angrily.
Ayame sighed "Don't mind it, Shoyo-kun...It's all right..."
"See? She doesn't mind it..."
"Still!"
"I said it's all right...don't worry about it..."
"Of course she wouldn't mind it...She can also curse like hell..." Tsukishima and Yamaguchi thought, remembering the second year she cussed.
"Fine..." Hinata said "Just don't listen to him, Mizuki-san"
"She's supposed to listen to him, Hinata. After all, he is a king" Tsukishima said.
"I said stop calling me king!!" Kageyama yelled at him "Don't give Mizuki any ideas!"
"A-ano..." she started, making the four players look at her "Could you guys stop calling me "Mizuki"? It's a bit...stifling..."
"What should we call you then?" Hinata said.
"Just my first name will do"
"Sure, Mizu-I mean, Ayame!" Hinata said, grinning "It sounded much better than before!"
"It will take time for me to get used to it but yeah, like Hinata said, your first name's really nice to say..." Yamaguchi sheepishly nodded while blushing lightly "And it's kinda cute on you" he silently thought.

The Fall of The Gods
Synopsis: In the year 1966, an army of Orishas led by Sango stormed Amadioha’s palace and razed it the ground, starting a decades-long war between two of Nigeria’s most powerful divine orders. Blinded by the rage of battle, the gods did not detect the rise of a third power, far greater and deadlier than anything they could have imagined. When gods, on both the Yoruba and Igbo sides, begin falling mysteriously to their death, Sango seeks the help of Odion, a Lagos teenager destined to rise from his dark past to become a hero. But can a human hero save the gods from a doomed fate? The Fall of the Gods is an action-packed YA fantasy based on the mythical bond that ties human life with the realm of the divine. It demonstrates the power of stories to change our lives. It also reminds us that Sango and Amadioha are not relics of the past and that, sometimes, what it means to be a hero in today’s world is knowing how to find inspiration in the stories of the gods. PLEASE NOTE: Weekly chapters will be released every friday along with interludes once in a while about Nigerian mythology.
