When I hear others talking about romance

Somehow can't relate or give my stance

After reading it in stories, still don't know

How such thoughts unveil in us and show

When I hear people saying they look hot

I find them cool, but attraction is felt not

Never tried to wait for a prince charming

Didn't dream of meeting a dear darling

I enjoy reading love stories, can't deny

Yet to see myself living that feels so dry

I like it when I see sweet couples loving

But wanted for myself no such feeling

How love even works? Someone do tell

Does it feel more like a heaven or hell?

Poets describe it with such fancy words

But that desire doesn't pull me towards

I haven't had a lover or crush till now

Should I feel weird about it or say wow?

The celebs I stan, I support like a friend

Difference in idea makes it hard to blend

Am I alright for not wanting such things?

Am I a bit different from other beings?

What's after like? How's it like to love?

Clear my doubts about all of the above

Rather have a friend or pet than lover

That's what mind gave me as an answer

It's not like I just haven't met the right one

But didn't ever think of having, I'm done

Everyone (including me sometimes) writes such fancy poems about love or heartbreaks, but I have never really seen one where the poet says they don't feel them. This poem actually describes my personal thoughts at times about romantic love too I can say.
