《Together we howl》Part 36

Harry's POV
It's been a few months since I announced that I would be moving, and I was so relieved that the conversation went so well. I have lived in my new home for a while now and for the first time, I could truly say that I had a place to call home, one that I can call my own. I was regularly visited by the extended pack and often babysat Teddy, who had a bedroom of his own.
The downside to moving here was Bella Swan, who had somehow grown an unhealthy obsession with me. Myself, Jacob and Pansy had run into her at the store one weekend, she was with a couple of girls who I assume were from her school. The moment she noticed Jacob, she approached us and latched onto his arm, pressing her breasts against him. Of course, Pansy didn't take the situation well and sent a stinging hex to her leg, which made her yelp and cry out in pain, allowing Jacob to move away as quickly as possible. Long story short, she realised that Jacob had imprinted on Pansy and seemed to instantly seek attention from the next male she saw, unfortunately, that male was me.
For the next week or so, she seemed to pop up everywhere I was, except the pack house and my cottage, which were the only places I was able to get some peace. Whenever she saw me on the street or in any store, she would talk nonstop about absolute nonsense and fail miserably at flirting, which made me cringe beyond belief. It wasn't until she saw me with both Luna and Hermione that caused real trouble.
We were in the store to pick up some groceries for the pack because they ate a ridiculous amount of food, plus Teddy needed a balanced diet for someone his age. As we entered the store, we split up to save ourselves more time, not wanting to spend too long in public. I went into the freezer aisle, looking through the multiple fridges to find the correct frozen meals, it was then that I heard my name being called.

"Harry!, oh, Harry!" I froze in the middle of the aisle, my face cringing at the unfortunate familiar voice that was from behind me.
"Did you hear me, Harry?!" I let out a sigh and turned around with an emotionless expression. Bella was weaving through the multiple people that occupied the aisle, all watching her with distaste.
"Bella" I nodded in greeting and held back an eye roll when her face lit up.
"How are you?"
"Fine, very busy" She hummed but didn't seem to get the hint, instead, she latched herself onto my arm and grinned wildly. I let out another sigh and looked around the store, luckily my height had shot up quite a bit and I now stood at 6', allowing me to look over the top of the shelves.
"Looking for someone?" She questioned, snapping me out of my search.
"I'm with Hermione and Luna" I shrugged. She froze and her face scrunched up in disgust, I took that time to slip out of her clutch and continue walking. As I turned the corner, I ran into Hermione and Luna, who was laughing at something.
"Girls, I need your help" I whispered in a slight panic, making them frown in confusion.
"What is it?" before I could respond, the cringe-worthy voice echoed through the entire store. The girls' eyes widened and they looked at one another before groaning.
"Oh, for Merlin's sake" Hermione mumbled, hitting her forehead against my shoulder repeatedly. I let out a quiet chuckle and grabbed the back of her neck softly, pulling her away from being able to continue.
"HARRY!" She came around the corner and froze when she spotted the girls beside me. She crossed her arms over her chest with her eyes narrowed on the three of us, I looked over at the two girls I see as my sisters, and noticed their confusion but with a hint of amusement in their eyes.

"Harry? What are you doing here with them?" I looked back at Bella with a frown, completely confused by the question.
"Why wouldn't I be?" She made a clicking noise with her tongue, showing her disapproval as she continuously tapped her foot against the ground. I looked down at the girls, who were whispering with one another with amused smiles on their faces.
"You left me on the other side of the store! That's not nice" Bella screeched, making those around her either cringe back or cover their ears. I, on the other hand, simply stared at her with complete astonishment. Surely there must be something mentally wrong with the girl? I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard a couple of giggles to my right, I glanced at them and glared half-heartedly, seeing how much the girls were enjoying my discomfort.
"Little shits" I mumbled, making sure they were able to hear which seemed to trigger another round of giggles.
"What are you laughing at, bitch!?" Bella screamed, making their giggles die down instantly. Their faces turn cold and their eyes narrowed on the brunette, who had taken a couple of steps forward in her anger.
"You watch your mouth when you're talking to my sisters" I warned through gritted teeth, her face turning red in fury and I noticed she was shaking.
"She took Edward from me!" She said as she pointed at Luna, who rolled her eyes and leaned her head against my shoulder.
"Oh please, we all know it didn't happen that way" Hermione sighed. Bella opened her mouth to respond but clamped it shut instantly, knowing she wasn't able to mention anything about the supernatural.
"Bye-bye, now," I said sarcastically and watched as she stormed away, shouting at people in the aisles to move out of her way.
"No fucking manners" I sighed and turned towards Hermione and Luna. The blonde was looking through the shopping list for items that they may have missed, whilst Hermione wrapped her arms around me, sighing tiredly into my chest.
"Are you okay?" She hummed in response and let out a small yawn, making me smile fondly before guiding her to pay. Not realising until we arrived back home that I completely forgot the frozen meals, much to the pack's annoyance.

Fallen
He hadn't even gained a consciousness yet that he was bound to lose everything if he ever came to life. He hadn't offended anyone, but they offended him. He hadn't cursed anyone, they cursed him. He hadn't killed anyone, they killed everyone related to him. Thus, he silently vowed. "They plan to offend me for their own interest? I shall give them plenty of reason to do so. Do they want to curse me? Please do so, since I'm more than willing to be your living bane. Kill me? System Only Gives Me Useless Gifts
Li Yun grew up with a system that gave him useless gifts. He wanted a reward that could prove the existence of the system, but ended up with abstract gifts like culture. Without physical proof, he was stuck wondering whether his mind was truly sane, all the while dealing with the reality of life. How will the "useless" system help Li Yun navigate medical school, hospital politics, criminal cases, treasure hunting, farming and cooking? Author's Note: This is a slice-of-life novel about a doctor with a mission-type system. It's written as a faux modern Chinese novel, so there are many 1-off characters and episodic mini arcs. Just a bit of warning, the tone of the story is very different after the childhood arc and jumpy as it chronicles Li Yun's life. I'm trying to make it less apparent in the rewrite, but there are still a lot of time skips. RR is the rewrite version, no set schedule. See webnovel for OG. scribblehub is a combo of both . I recommend scribblehub since it has pictures. Copyrights of the novel and cover are owned by Chocomug. Novel is free to read and download for personal use, such as offline reading, only.
