《The Solitary Sword Sovereign》Flowing Tide Restriction: Breaking The Walls

“Your mind has been partitioned but you don't have the mental cultivation to sustain that partition. Using terminology from your world, you are like a wifi network that has too many devices connected slowing it down, your mind has too many branches and isn’t supported by a soul or body capable of assisting in bearing the load. You have an abundant Life force, but its quality is poor and fragile.
Modus allowed this to continue to draw out your potential, but now you need to consolidate your cultivation base and focus on gaining full control of what you have. If this had continued, the sheer power of your own mind would have destroyed you from the inside out."
Wodin's words frightened Will. 'No wonder they don't just hand out skills and abilities. This is...'
Will was feeling more and more suffocated as time went on while his pain increased.
"The Flowing Tide Restriction is a unique curse I made. It places restrictions on your three vessels as well as forces you to surpass your limits. That was a concise explanation, but what you need now isn't knowledge, it's resolve."
Will was trying to comprehend why he was suddenly cursed and now lying on the floor, but he had no time to waste. Wodin did not seem like the type of person to mess around.
'I really could have died... I need to gather more information on cultivation if I make it out of this.'
Will grumbled as he struggled to even sense his environment.
"There are five lower senses, five higher senses and your three states. Everything sentient being originates from these three categories.
Flowing Tide Restriction is a curse that locks down and compresses all forms of matter and Energy, including the metaphysical. I have adjusted this one to help you bring together your scattered minds. That will be your first goal. We only have 10 hours. Within 5 you must have overcome the curse and achieved a unification of state and senses.

Feel each of the individual minds within your metaphysical mental space. Picture walls between each mind breaking down. Like a hive of bubble-like cells fusing to form one giant form."
Wodin's voice drifted with an odd ephemeral charm like he was casting some sort of spell.
Adelda had no clue what he was doing, but she was sure that he was using a skill far above her station.
Will begrudgingly followed Wodin's instructions. He pictured the image in his mind, and one by one, he started to 'break down the walls and started to fuse the 'bubble-like cells' he had been asked to imagine.
'Eh?' Will felt a result within minutes. Like bubbles popping, minds within his metaphysical space were disappearing. Every time a mind seemed to disappear, the remaining ones would slightly strengthen.
'It's slight, but I can feel the difference.'
This was one of many differences. Each time a mine seemed to disappear, the curse seemed to weaken while he felt his connection to his mind strengthen.
'If that's the case...'
Will pushed himself to the limit as he tried to force his mind to bend to his will. It wasn't an easy task.
It was like being given a blank piece of paper with a dot on it, and then attempting to focus on any specific space without the dot while feeling intense pain and anguish.
Wodin stood up and scanned Will with vigilant eyes.
'With his perception and willpower, he should be able to pull through in time.'
Wodin awaited eagerly for Will to finish the whole Adelda could not help but frown.
'Beads of sweat are flowing from him. His current state really is no different from that of a mortal. Wodin did this with an Avatar of an Avatar. How absurd. Truly deserving of his infamy.'

Bit by bit, Will crushed the walls between his minds and they fused together. He had over 2 million minds, but as the hours went on only a few thousand remained.
'At first, it was easy, but now that only a few minds are left, it has become even harder.'
After 3 hours, Will only had a few thousand minds remaining, but they were much more powerful individually than before.
But the stronger the minds, the more difficult they were to fuse. Nevertheless, Will loved the fact that he was regaining control of his body.
He was still physically weak and had no Energy, but he now had access to part of his mental abilities. 2 were of particular importance at this moment.
A red glow that gave off an eerie feeling of death and destruction spread from the left side of Will to his environment. On the right sight, a blue Energy with overflowing vitality radiated outward with a steady current.
Bloodlust and Radiant Energy we're unleashed!
But the target wasn't outside his own body! It was his own mind!
As the two Empyrean Intents spread out, sights of movements started to show on Will's body. Some slight muscle twitches appeared in the young immortal's vision.
Adelda wasn't sure what was happening.
'His states of matter should be mostly locked. He should only have access to part of his Intent. Why does releasing it unreservedly like this give him strength?'
As if he could read her mind, Odin stood up and said, "He is using Bloodlust to break down his minds and Radiant Energy to fuse them."
Adelda looked at Will with renewed respect. This was far easier said than done.
'Intent is an ability of the mind, capable of affecting both the physical and mental realms. Normally Intent starts as a thought and manifests in the physical, but he is reversing the process and has to remain in his mental space.'
Just because you can run forwards fast does not mean you can sprint backwards.
'And he is doing it while under a powerful restriction. This is a sight to see.'
Adelda saw Will finally gain control of his fingers. His eyes were narrow and focused, and he eyed the line that bisected the room. He was determined to control his body and make it there.
The many minds were resilient and resisted being fused, but Empyrean Intents were no joke either.
'Overusing Intent is what put me in this mess, but now I have no choice. This is the only way I could think of to speed up the process. I need to finish this before five hours are up.'
It was now the four-hour mark and a few hundred minds were left. Will had basic control of his limbs but he went forward crawling like his life depended on it.
Because it did.
