《Austeled one-shots》The locker

Context: they're frenemies but also crushing on each other
Eteleds pov
I saw lots of chairs, most in which had been damaged beyond repair. I walked into small room and saw more chairs and tables flipped over and scratched.
I could see shadows moving in the corner of my eyes, but when I turned to look at them, they disappeared.
I kept walking and made a turn into a thinner hallway. This hallway had huge faint green lockers, surprisingly in tact.
I stayed to the side with the lockers, inspecting each one.
I called out, stopping.
Suddenly, I felt an arm wrap around my stomach and yank me into one of the lockers.I was going to yell but fear took the words from my mouth. I was pulled inside and I heard the locker door slam behind me.
I looked up and saw a tall figure. My eyes took a second to adjust, but once they did, I could see who it was. It was..
Austin?!
"Shh~" He hushed quietly, still wrapping his hand around my waist. I noticed he didn't have his armour on, but I decided not to question it.
I could feel his cold hands through my sweater, it sent shivers down my spine.
But.. His voice. It felt so.. soft, it made me feel safe.
I zoned out for a few seconds until I heard a loud slam from somewhere behind me, causing me to jump. Austin let go and I turned around to see out the gaps in the door.
I saw a creature. It had a disfigured humanlike body with no head and its neck was oozing with black liquid. It was bleeding from everywhere. Its knees and elbows were bent backwards and it smelled of rotting flesh.
I moved backward, holding my nose. I accidentally bumped into Austin, making me jump again. I almost tripped over until I felt his arms wrap around my waist and pull me in close.

I froze.
I didn't know what to do.
Do I say something?
Do I keep quiet?
Do I run away?
I was both terrified and flustered at the same time. Two emotions I didn't think I'd ever feel at the same time.
I felt him wrap his arms around me tightly.
I could feel him shaking a little.
But there was nothing I could do.
I wanted it to just leave.
Eventually it left, leaving a trail of blood behind. We both sighed in relief.
I looked out the gaps to see if the coast was clear. When I saw it was, I quietly opened the door, getting out. I was soon followed by Austin.
I started to walk down the hallway with him, nervously looking around every few moments. Eventually we got to the end of the hallway, opening into a large dark room, seemingly untouched.
Was this a ballroom?

Our Shattered Realms
*This is a learning experience for me so please keep in mind that I am attempting to work on some of the issues brought to my attention early on. However I haven't yet gone back to redo the early chapters.* Less than two days ago every piece of electronics in the world stopped working for more than two hours. The death toll was immense. Hospital equipment failed, cars stopped in the middle of the street, planes fell from the sky, and homework was lost at the worst possible moment. We found out that it was just the flicker and hum of The System warming up. Now we see the true cost of our new world. A Dark comedy that focuses on a few of the many people who aren't stuck in a high level dungeon when our world is translated and joined to Our Shattered Realms. This is my first story that I have published. I welcome any criticism that you have for me. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy!

Unto Dark
A man of cripplingly ill mind, bridled with the spirits and regrets of the past. Wade Pierce trudges through each day of his monochrome existence, only as penance for his sins. Such a man is abruptly decamped of this world courtesy of unapologetic forces, left stranded in a realm filled with unknowns. Armed only with his potent yet fragile intellect, Wade advances into this new abyss, as he attempts to rewrite the wrongs he has committed. Plagued by vile beasts, self-righteous Gods, and even his own seething darkness, the cracks in his mind begin to spread and a dangerous, newfound power bubbles beneath the surface. As the world grows darker day by day, this unfortunate journey begins ------------ I suppose rectitude dictates that I should state any themes worthy of noting here. First of all, this story is not a sunshiny one in the slightest. Since it is listed under the psychological and mature tag and not the comedy tag, that shouldn't be a surprise. Next, morbidity is a factor and general apathy towards human life. All of these are common themes amongst other writers, so nothing new there. The story also contains consensual, and non-consensual sexual activity, although I have tried to be as tasteful as is possible for someone like myself. Finally, the pace is drawn-out, and the language is magniloquent at times. Not to mention, the chapters are quite lengthy. Don't expect to read this halfheartedly... Other than that, enjoy the story... There's nothing more important than that...

Stuck in the middle of a forest Andrew will need to find out where he is, how to find his friends, and why the bracelet has been acting the way it has. Author's Note:This story is a sidequel/prequel to Artifice: Tools of the Gods. As it only has one or two connected characters there is no need to read one or the other to understand them.
