《Dungeon of books》Working once more - Chapter 49

Pov - Umbra
Oh, god, how you have blessed me on this fateful day. But seriously, though, I am quite impressed with myself. Not only did I shoot above and beyond with getting an S instead of the S- I was expecting to get, but she is also pretty cute if I do say so myself and I do say so myself. It is adorable how she tilts her head at the surroundings and swivels it around, trying to piece together what is happening. Though it is kinda unnerving at the same time since her eyes don’t have pupils, I can’t tell if she is moving her eyeball at all.
Though that is all for later since she now exists, I can fix up the forest with no one batting an eye once they find her. Sure, they might wonder how a level one child is able to do this, but I’ll just chalk that up to their imagination because they are quite good at coming up with their own theories on how these things work. Now I can move on to my next thing, I have been trying to get around to this, but things keep coming up. Like I never expected the Rogue to meet up with that party, sure he escaped from the Drakekin I sent his way, but I feel like things work out kinda well. I’m kinda sad though that I will never be finding out why he produced so much of the concept of pride. Maybe he will fall into my hands once again at a later time, the future holds so many mysteries that I can’t wait to discover them.
Though he had me quite worried when he was about to die on me, so I might have just given the Priestess a little push with my Mana, and she just happened to be desperate enough to accept it. I did not give it for free though, because there is always a cost, or that is what my grandma told me when I wanted to get some of the free lemonade they were giving out at the garage sale. I just, maybe, ever so slightly progressed her abyss corruption. I know, I know, you can all send your angry emails later, I was just curious at what effect it would have on a living person, and to be fair it was progressing quite slowly. And well they were my first, so I have to show my love every now and again, they must thank me though for giving them a new party member. When I see my favorite character gravitate toward each other, I just can't wait to see how this story continues… didn’t I just think of a variation of that early. Oh, well, that just shows my excitement at what is to come.

I believe that I should go back to the things I have been avoiding for a long time, well maybe not that long but long enough. Alright, let's see why my Doppelrat isn’t duplicating anymore. No wait, I forgot something slightly important. Since this Eldrin is going to be important, I better name her. I’m not just pushing back what needs to be done slightly longer because I don’t want to do that, no, I would never.
Now let's see what name fits, I mean I could just go for spring cause well, I think we all know it is quite self-explanatory. Though I mustn't because it is a cop-out and this is my first true S grade that I made by myself, so I must put the effort in all the way. Wasn’t there a group of gods called the Hora or Horae that governed over the seasons or something like that, those names don't sound good at all, though. Hmm, Oh I know, how about Persephone wasn’t she seen as the goddess of seasons and something else? Hell if she wasn’t that wouldn't matter this is my own little world, so I can name her what I want hell I could even name her Yolo_Swag69, but I think Persephone is good. I wouldn't even name my nemesis firstborn child that, let alone one of my precious creations.
That is enough stalling, though, I should get back to the Doppelrat problem. Letting out a long-drawn-out sigh that is physically impossible to do, I move down into my secret laboratory. Cause this is the time that I finally figure out the problem I have been stalling on for weeks now or at least that is what it has felt like, but now I must do what I have done in the past. Now that I’m thinking about it, I was much more proactive, well whatever, let's just get into it.
Let's see, the Doppelrat is dead, huh? Well, problem solved it's just dead, nothing else needs to be done. What am I kidding myself with, and how the hell did this rat even die? It had everything a rat in a cage could ever want, food, water, and lots of space. Sure, his clones might have constantly been dying, but that is all that has been happening. So it must have some sort of problem with the duplication. Ha, I’m a genius that put together even the clues that are the farthest apart. The easiest way to find a solution to this is just to repeat the experiment and keep track of what is happening this time around, instead of well just popping out for a week or two, not saying anyone around here is that irresponsible though. I’ll just get onto spawning a new one because this is getting awkward even though it is with myself… Huh.

Alright, a new one is in and tuck in quite cozily. Now, let's set a timer to check on this puppy every hour or so. Another question I should be asking though is where can I find an alarm like that? I’ll just jury-rig something. I’m smart or to be more accurate even if it hurts me, I’m smart enough to do a simple task like this. I’m what you would call good enough. Now, then, what is something that can catch my attention and stop me from this harsh review of myself? It would have to be something loud and jarring, or I won’t be able to sense it from the library of the other Demi-plane, so what could it be? It is of course going to have to be something with magic because how else is it going to be able to cross then ah, well of nothingness? Let's just keep it simple this time around because the last answer to one of my problems was quite literally making a rank S monster. With my new minimalist mindset that I'm just adopting this one time, I believe I know what I must do and anyone, and I mean anyone who has had a phone before should be able to understand where I’m going with this. I’ll just have magic ping me every hour, like a notification, or in my case, I had my phone send me a joke each morning, and it was a novel experience for the first few times, but it gradually faded, and I just ended up ignoring them until the time that I came here.
Well, with the concept done, I can get to work on the real deal. Now, then, how am I supposed to do any of this? I could just ask Akasha, but this is my own inept time management skills I’m fixing, so I could at least fix it myself. Let's see… Well didn’t Akasha say she wanted to help me with things or something close to that? I mean it like, I’m doing a favor for her by just asking for help, right? I’m not just lazy. I’m, I’m innovative with solving problems with the resources I have and Akasha is the gold in my pile of dung or a piece of corn at the very least. I’m getting way too far off track, why did I even start talking about poop. Well, I know why, but I just can’t tell how my mind led me to poop. I should just stop, and I will. Let's go and talk to Akasha now and get her to do the work, I mean, help me create a solution to a problem that has made itself known to me. Like a true leader. I will allocate my resources effectively… I mean teammates.

The Madec Legacy
The dawn of Emotion Based A.I.s is here, John is the fifth test subject to have an AI implemented in his brain, and so far the first one to survive. Blinded by the dream of immortality, the researchers push the tests to inhumane standards. John is obligated to take part in sessions of torture designed to test the limits of the AI influence over the physical and mental health. What was supposed to be a new beginning in life turns into living hell. An (un)lucky twist ends his life. John then reincarnates with his AI in a new world where a System influences the interaction between Magic and Matter. With seemingly limitless potential and a game-like system influencing the world, the hero sets on his journey. --AUTHOR NOTE, PLEASE READ-- I will state here my promises to you, potential reader: 1. No harem! I don't trust myself to make a harem feel natural or healthy, I never met any person who has a personality that can adapt and live in a harem for reasons that are not monetary, so I can't draw inspiration from real life. Sorry!; 2. The enemies will not be bland and illogically mean. Some may feel like that at first, but I will take great care in fleshing them out, trust me. You may end up hating some, but you won't be able to deny that they had their reasons for what they did; 3. I am using a paid (and expensive) automated editor tool, and I take longer to write because I take my time in editing the stuff. I am aiming to improve and I will not shy away from constructive criticism, nor take offense for no reason; 4. Characters will die and will suffer, some will get over the tragedies and improve, others will not be as resilient. 5. This novel has a lot of ground to cover, it is neither a short story, a manual on crafting, or the script of some action scene. There will be both time skips and oversimplifications of some actions for the sake of moving the story forward. Time skips will be more prominent in the first 30 chapters. I will describe crafting processes and fights with more detail if they are essential for the chapter; 6. If I took my time describing something, it's because it is important. I hate novels that waste time describing useless stuff. If you skim over something, the chances are that something in the future will not make sense. I am an adept of "Chekhov's gun" principle; 7. I already have 31k words on my auxiliary documents, I have a plan for the story, and I will not be making changes even if someone ends up noticing some foreshadowing and figures out what will happen. The story comes first. 8. I have a wife, a job that demands 9h every day and courses related to my job (lawyer) three days of the week, it's unlikely that I will be able to do mass releases at all. I will have a healthy amount of chapters to be able to post at least 1 chapter every day continually. Don't worry. 9. I will read all the comments. I will listen to all you have to say and will try my best to accommodate demands as long as they do not hamper the path I prepared. 10. There is an arc that spans the entire novel. Each volume will be an arc in itself while progressing a little bit of the main arc. Every arc will have one or more main antagonists. I think that's it! Thank you for reading it all. Have an awesome time reading my first novel!!

Legacy: A wolf's tale
Follow Akascha as she goes from a beast of burden to a lovely (well more like a slightly belligerent) young woman! Note. This is a shory story (about 25.000 words) I wrote a while back in high school. Therefore, the range and depth of the story might be a bit lacking, but I wanted to share it with you anyway now that I discovered RR. Although I would love comments or constructive criticisme (as one can always learn), be aware that I have - at this point in time - no plans of rewriting this story. Thank you and I hope you enjoy! Oh and before I forget! The first chapter is rather short, but the rest of the chapters will make up for it.
