3rd pov
Nick and Hope had parted they ways, to pack their swimsuits. Nick was in his room choosing a new shirt and shorts. Suddenly his phone began to ring. He picked it up and saw it was his father, then he answered the call.
''hello father'', he started with. ''hello son'', Damon said in Nick's phone. ''to what do I owe the pleasure?''. ''Nick he told me''. Nick gulped as he heard those words, he knew Rick must have said something even though he said he wouldn't.
''told you, told you what paps and who?''. Damon sighed ''Rick told me everything Nicholas''.
Nick's pov
Dammit. He told me he wouldn't.

''oh, I can explain dad...'', Damon cut in before Nick could say more. ''you don't need to Alaric told me all. I know he said to you he wouldn't, but do you think he can keep this from me? his best friend and your father. Nope he couldn't. So, don't be angry at him son''. ''yeah dad okay, but I didn't want him or me to tell you now. I didn't want to worry you, when it was nothing. You know how mom can be''. Damon laughed at his son's statement about his mother. ''I know kiddo, but she just wants you to be safe as I. However, I didn't tell her. So, you can relax. We both know if she knew. She'd already been there making you pack and come home''.
Nick chuckled ''yeah your right dad''. Damon sighed ''however, I'm a little disappointed that you couldn't tell me yourself. I understand your mother, but me why not?''. ''I just didn't want you to get scared for me either. I handled it dad''. ''I know you did Nick. Alaric told me and Hope also messaged me that something happened, but that you were fine''. ''wait Hope did what?''. ''yeah son she texted and said something had happened in the school, but that you were fine. At first I thought about telling your mother, but I wanted to get the truth. So, I called Rick and he told me. You know she really cares for you son''.

Nick smiled trough his phone ''I know, and I'm sorry dad''. ''it's not totally okay, but I'll accept it. I won't tell your mother, but you have to tell her at some point''. ''I know and I will''. ''good. I also want you to call me or come home or whatever if something like that happens again. I may not tell your mother, but I will at least want to know either way. Because we both know it wasn't nothing''. ''yes dad, but I can't call or text at the exact time it happens. You know got to save and protect then'', Nick said with an amusement tone. ''ha ha, very funny son. You know what I mean''. ''yes I do dad, but I got to go now. I'm going to the beach with the squad and I'm running a little late''. ''okay I understand. Have fun son. Remember towel, swimsuit, sunscreen and protection''. ''yeah yeah dad. I'll remember al...'', then Nick paused for a moment ''did you just say protection?''. ''yes I did''. ''dad I'm going to the beach why do I need that?''. ''well, I mean you're a boy and hormones and it doesn't surprise me if you and Hope would do it there. Many teenagers do it many other places I heard. I wouldn't want to be a grandfather right away mister''. ''really dad?'' ''yes really Nick''.
Before Nick could answer it was a knock on his door. ''Nick man we got to go. So, get ready and get Hope after that'', Mg said. ''yeah be right there dude'', and with that Nick heard footsteps going further away from his room.
''okay dad. Got to go now. Talk to you later. Say hi to mom and Stefanie from me''. ''will do and remember protection''. ''bye dad''. With that Nick hung up on his dad. He took his backpack and took the shorts in it. Then he took off his t-shirt he had on and took a new on. He went to his door, unlocked it an went into Hope's direction.
