၂၅၁။ ဘာဖြစ်လို့ငါ့ကိုချတာလဲ?
မိနစ်အချို့ကြာသည့်အခါ လင်းချင်းသည် အထဲမှနေ တိတ်ဆိတ်စွာ လျှောက်ထွက်လာသည်။ မြေအောက်ကားပါကင်တွင်တော့ ယန်ကျင်းဟွာတို့ပိုင်သည့် ကားများသည် မရှိတော့ကာ မေ့မြောနေသည့် စစ်သားအချို့သာ ကျန်တော့သည်။
ယန်ကျင်းဟွာက သူမကို ထောက်လှမ်းမိမှာ စိုးသောကြောင့် လင်းချင်းသည် သူမ၏ အရှိန်အဝါကို ဖြစ်နိုင်သမျှလျှော့ထားသည်။ ထို့ကြောင့် သာမန်ဇွန်ဘီများသည် သူမကို အာရုံမခံမိကာ ထိုနေရာက စစ်သားများ၏အနံ့ကိုသာရ၍ ဖြည်းဖြည်းချင်း ရောက်လာကြသည်။

“မင်းအရူးလား? ငါကမင်းရှေ့မှာရှိတာနဲ့ မင်းကိုချတဲ့သူက ငါဖြစ်ရမလား? မင်းလည်း ငါ့ရှေ့ရပ်နေတာ။ ဒါဆိုရင် ငါ့ကိုချတာက မင်းပဲမလား?”
စစ်သားနှစ်ယောက်သည် ဘာဖြစ်မှန်း မသိကြသဖြင့် အချင်းချင်း စကားများကြတော့သည်။
“ဟေ့ကောင်တွေ ဘာဖြစ်နေကြတာလဲ? ဘာဖြစ်လို့ အော်နေကြတာလဲ? ခေါင်းဆောင်ကြားရင် အပြစ်ပေးခံနေရမယ်။ သတိထားကြစမ်းပါကွာ”
ဘေးတွင် ရိုင်ဖယ်ကိုင်ထားသည့် စစ်သားက ပြောသည်။
လင်းချင်းထံမှ အရိုက်ခံရသည့်နှစ်ယောက်ထဲက တစ်ယောက်သည်
“ငါ့ကိုအခုလေးတင် တစ်ယောက်ယောက်က ရိုက်သွားတယ်။ သူပဲဖြစ်မှာ”
“ဟင်? ခနလေး မင်းတို့ထူးဆန်းတာ မခံစားရဘူးလား?”
တတိယစစ်သားသည် တွေဝေစွာဖြင့် သူတို့ကိုကြည့်သည်။
“ဘာလဲ?”
“မင်းတို့နှစ်ယောက်လုံးက တစ်ချိန်တည်းမှာ ချခံရတာ။ နှစ်ယောက်လုံးက ဘာမှမမြင်လိုက်ကြဘူး။ ငါ့အထင် မင်းတို့ကို တခြားတစ်ယောက်ယောက်က ရိုက်သွားသလိုပဲ”
“ဘာကိုပြောချင်တာလဲ?”
“ဟုတ်တယ်။ ဒီမှာငါတို့အပြင် ဘယ်သူမှ မရှိဘူးမလား? မင်းက ဟိုမှာရပ်နေတာကို ငါတို့မမြင်ဘဲ ဘယ်လိုလုပ်ရိုက်နိုင်မှာလဲ?”
“ဒါဟုတ်တယ်။ ဒါပင်မယ့် ငါတို့အပြင် ဘယ်သူရှိသေးလို့လဲ?”
“ဟေ့ တိတ်တိတ်နေကြ မင်းက သရဲအကြောင်း ပြောနေသလိုမျိုး ငါထင်တာပြီ ကျောချမ်းစရာကြီးကွာ”
အနည်းငယ်ကြောက်တက်သည့် စစ်သားက ပြောသည်။
အခြားသူများက ဆွံ့အကုန်သည်။
လင်းချင်းသည် ကြောက်နေသည့် တစ်ယောက်ကို ကြည့်ကာ ရယ်ချင်သွားသည်။ ကမ္ဘာပျက်ခေတ်တွင် သရဲများသာရှိပါက ဇွန်ဘီအားလုံးသည် သရဲဟု ယူဆစရာပင်။ ဒီလိုဆိုလျှင်တောင် သရဲကို ကြောက်နေကြဦးမည်လား?
‘ဟုတ်တယ်။ ငါကသရဲမကြီ။ ဟာသပဲ’
ဒီလိုတွေးရင်းဖြင့် လင်းချင်းသည် နောက်စစ်သားတစ်ယောက် အနားသို့သွားကာ သူ့ခေါင်းကို အသံမြည်အောက် နှစ်ချက်လောက် ခေါက်လိုက်သည်။

ထိုစစ်သားသည် အသံထွက်၍အော်သဖြင့် သူ့ကိုတခြားသူများက လှည့်ကြည့်ကြသည်။
“ဘာဖြစ်လို့ အော်နေတာလဲ?”
“ငါ့ကို. . .ငါ့ခေါင်းကို တစ်ယောက်ယောက်က ခေါက်သွားတယ်”
ဒီလိုပြောသည့်အခါ အခြားသူများသည် သူ့အနောက်ကို ဓာတ်မီးဖြင့်ထိုးကြည့်သော်လည်း ဘာမှမကို မတွေ့ပေ။
“မင်း. . .”
အခြားသူများက သူ့အနောက်သို့ သေချာကြည့်ကြသည်။ အကုန်လုံးသည် ကြောက်လန့်စွာဖြင့် အချင်းချင်းကြည့်ကြကာ မနေနိုင်သည့် တစ်ယောက်က
“ဒီမှာ သရဲတကယ်ရှိနေတာမလား?”
အခြားသူများသည် ပြောသည့်သူကို တိတ်ဆိတ်စွာ ခနကြည့်ပြီးနောက်
“မင်းငါတို့ကို အခုလိမ်နေတာမလား?”

အရိုက်ခံရသည့်နှစ်ယောက်သည် ချက်ချင်းခေါင်းငြိမ့်ပြကြသည်။ သူတို့သည် တကယ့်ကို အရိုက်ခံကြရတာ ဖြစ်သော်လည်း တစ်ယောက်ကိုတစ်ယောက် အပြစ်တင်နေကြတာဖြစ်သည်။ သူတို့သည် တိတ်သွားကြကာ ဓာတ်မီးများဖြင့် အနားကို ထပ်ခါတလဲလဲ ရှာကြသော်လည်း ဘာကိုမှ မတွေ့ပေ။ ထို့နောက် သူတို့သည် ကြောက်လန့်သွားကာ အချင်းချင်းပူးကပ်၍ တံခါးကိုကျောပေး၍ နေကြတော့သည်။

စစ်သားစုသည် သူတို့စကားများ ထစ်နေသဖြင့် ကပ္ပတိန်သည် တံခါးကိုဖွင့်၍ အပြင်သို့ ထွက်ကြည့်သည်။ သူတို့သည် ချက်ချင်းသူတို့နေရာသို့ ပြန်သွားကြကာ ကျောကိုမတ်၍ ရှေ့သို့မျက်နှာမှုထားကြသည်။ ကပ္ပတိန်သည် ဝရံတာတွင်လျှောက်ရင်း သူတို့ကို တစ်ချက်ကြည့်သည်။ ထို့နောက် ပတ်ဝန်းကျင်ကို ကြည့်သည့်အခါ ပုံမှန်မဟုတ်တာ တစ်ခုမှ မတွေ့ရပေ။
“သူတို့ ဘာဖြစ်နေကြတာလဲ?”
လှေကားတွင်စောင့်နေသည့် စစ်သားများက တံခါးတွင်စောင့်နေသည့်သူများအား တစ်ချက်ကြည့်၍ ပြောသည်။
“ဒီမှာဘာဖြစ်နေတာလဲ?”
ကပ္ပတိန်သည် လှေကားကစစ်သားများကို လှမ်းမေးသည်။ သူတို့သည် လက်ဆန့်ကာ ခေါင်းခါပြသည်။ ထို့နောက် သူတို့ထဲကတစ်ယောက်သည် တံခါးဝကလူများကို မေးဖို့လက်လှမ်းပြသည်။
ကပ္ပတိန်သည် တံခါးဝက စစ်သားများကို နားမလည်စွာကြည့်ရင်း
“မင်းတို့ကောင်တွေ တကယ်ပဲ အခုဘာလုပ်နေကြတာလဲ?”

ကပ္ပတိန်သည် တံခါးပိတ်သွားသည်နှင့် တံခါးဝက စစ်သားများသည် အချင်းချင်းကြည့်၍ ပတ်ဝန်းကျင်ကို လိုက်ရှာကြသည်။

စစ္သားႏွစ္ေယာက္သည္ ဘာျဖစ္မွန္း မသိၾကသျဖင့္ အခ်င္းခ်င္း စကားမ်ားၾကေတာ့သည္။
“ေဟ့ေကာင္ေတြ ဘာျဖစ္ေနၾကတာလဲ? ဘာျဖစ္လို႔ ေအာ္ေနၾကတာလဲ? ေခါင္းေဆာင္ၾကားရင္ အျပစ္ေပးခံေနရမယ္။ သတိထားၾကစမ္းပါကြာ”

အရိုက္ခံရသည့္ႏွစ္ေယာက္သည္ ခ်က္ခ်င္းေခါင္းၿငိမ့္ျပၾကသည္။ သူတို႔သည္ တကယ့္ကို အရိုက္ခံၾကရတာ ျဖစ္ေသာ္လည္း တစ္ေယာက္ကိုတစ္ေယာက္ အျပစ္တင္ေနၾကတာျဖစ္သည္။ သူတို႔သည္ တိတ္သြားၾကကာ ဓာတ္မီးမ်ားျဖင့္ အနားကို ထပ္ခါတလဲလဲ ရွာၾကေသာ္လည္း ဘာကိုမွ မေတြ႕ေပ။ ထို႔ေနာက္ သူတို႔သည္ ေၾကာက္လန့္သြားကာ အခ်င္းခ်င္းပူးကပ္၍ တံခါးကိုေက်ာေပး၍ ေနၾကေတာ့သည္။
ထိုအခ်ိန္တြင္ သူတို႔ေနာက္က တံခါးသည္ ပြင့္သြားသျဖင့္ သူတို႔သည္ ေၾကာင္အစြာျဖင့္ အထဲကို ၾကည့္လိုက္ၾကသည္။
တံခါးေနာက္တြင္ ဓာတ္မီးျဖင့္ လူတစ္ေယာက္ရွိေနကာ သူတို႔မ်က္ႏွာအား ဓာတ္မီးျဖင့္ထိုး၍
“မင္းတို႔ေကာင္ေတြ ဘာလုပ္ေနၾကတာလဲ?”
“က. . .ကပၸတိန္”
သူတို႔သည္ ပါးစပ္ဟ၍ အခ်င္းခ်င္းၾကည့္ၾကေသာ္လည္း တစ္ေယာက္မွ အသံမထြက္ၾကေပ။ သူတို႔ဘယ္လိုေျပာျပရမည္နည္း? ဒီေနရာတြင္ သရဲရွိေနပုံရသည္ကို ဘယ္လိုေျပာျပရမည္နည္း? ေျပာလိုက္လွ်င္လည္း သူတို႔ကပၸတိန္လက္ထဲက ဓာတ္မီးသည္ သူတို႔ေခါင္းျဖင့္ မိတ္ဆက္ခံရလိမ့္မည္။
စစ္သားစုသည္ သူတို႔စကားမ်ား ထစ္ေနသျဖင့္ ကပၸတိန္သည္ တံခါးကိုဖြင့္၍ အျပင္သို႔ ထြက္ၾကည့္သည္။ သူတို႔သည္ ခ်က္ခ်င္းသူတို႔ေနရာသို႔ ျပန္သြားၾကကာ ေက်ာကိုမတ္၍ ေရွ႕သို႔မ်က္ႏွာမႈထားၾကသည္။ ကပၸတိန္သည္ ဝရံတာတြင္ေလွ်ာက္ရင္း သူတို႔ကို တစ္ခ်က္ၾကည့္သည္။ ထို႔ေနာက္ ပတ္ဝန္းက်င္ကို ၾကည့္သည့္အခါ ပုံမွန္မဟုတ္တာ တစ္ခုမွ မေတြ႕ရေပ။
“သူတို႔ ဘာျဖစ္ေနၾကတာလဲ?”

သူတို႔သည္ ေခါင္းခါကာ တစ္သံတည္းျဖင့္
“မလုပ္ပါဘူး”
ကပၸတိန္သည္ အခန္းထဲသို႔ဝင္ကာ တံခါးမပိတ္ခင္ သူတို႔ကို တစ္ခ်က္ၾကည့္သြားေသးသည္။ သူတံခါးဖြင့္၍ ထြက္လာတည္းက ကိုယ္ေပ်ာက္ေနသည့္သူသည္ သူတို႔ကိုေရွာင္၍ အခန္းထဲကို ဝင္သြားသည္ကိုေတာ့ ဘယ္သူကမွ မသိလိုက္ၾကေပ။

Eventually over time humanity and the magical beings came to a sort of agreement. Magic and the beings associated with it faded into the background of history, being relegated to myth and legend. Humanity meanwhile advanced leaps and bounds once magic faded, leading to our current level of civilization. Not all magical beings were content with this, thus they did their own actions and killed or fed on humans. This has led to many organizations to be formed concerning this, on both the side of humanity and the side of magical beings. They regulate and control the use of magic as well as protect humanity from the darker things that are now not but myth to them, but there is a reason humanity instinctually fears the dark. Unfortunately there are always those that are unsatisfied by the status quo, and those that are prejudiced against things that are different. This is a story of a young man who wanted nothing more than to be normal. Unfortunately Fate and the world he lives in do not easily allow that this, thus his life changed, not for the better. Everyone has heard of or read stories about monsters and legends, heroes and villains, this is one such story. Hi, this is my second attempt at a story here, the first was before the major overhaul happened and i lost everything related to that story due to PC troubles. I hope you enjoy this if you dont please leave some constructive criticism in the comments. An Editor and the like will be needed, but I will edit as problems are pointed out and as i proof read. This story will have no set schedule, unless of course I decide to type up a bunch in succession then i will note that in a chapter beforehand.
