《Their Human》Chapter forty one: fathers

"So you just want want us to go back there unarmed and kill Valedria? He's the most powerful vampire on our island." Silas said, shaking his head.

"We need a better way, so we can protect ourselves." I told them, sitting down next to Alexander.

"We have a lot of creatures on our side. Our parents..." Alexander started before the door opened, Sei walking in with a face full of rage. He glared at Alexander hatefully, "you mean our parents." He spat.

Alexander furrowed his brows, "Goliath and my mom—"

"He's not your father. Your father is trying to kill us!" Sei spat, making me stare at Alexander in shock.

Valedria is his father...

Why am I not surprised?

"Yeah well, Goliath isn't your father either. Your father abandoned you for his pack." Alexander answered with gritted teeth.

Okay, this isn't good at all.

"He showed up at the competition and didn't do so much as to blink at you or Sofia. He just sat there amongst the other heads and smiled proudly. No wonder his name is Nazi." Alexander argued, making Sei stomp to him.

He grabbed Alexander's shirt and yanked him up, making the vampire's fangs sharpen. "Guys, stop it!" I told them, standing up from the couch. I grabbed Sei's arm, trying to get him to let go of Alexander but he was way too strong for me.

"Sei, come on man. Don't do this." Silas said, patting his brother's shoulder.

"Yeah, boo-bear, don't do this." Alexander snickered, making Sei even angrier. He quickly lifted his fist up to punch him and in the process of doing so, he punched me instead.

His fist went straight to my nose, knocking me backwards and nearly making me fall. I quickly caught myself, a cry escaping my throat when I felt the throbbing and burning pain in my nose. I whimpered in pain, clutching onto it tightly.

"Sei, you idiot!" Silas said, quickly approaching me. "Are you okay? Shoot, you're bleeding!"

I pinched my nose, feeling small drops of blood trying to escape from inside. Sei let go of Alexander and looked at me with a sorry expression, his mouth parting open and closed as if he did not know where to begin with apologizing to me.

"Nice going, anger issues. You hurt her and this place smells like a candy shop now." Alexander sighed, straightening his shirt. Silas handed me a tissue and led me to a chair, making me sit down. "Just tilt your head back and hold the tissue there." He instructed me. I did as told, hissing at the pain when the tissue made contact with my nose.

Alexander handed me an ice pack, "for when the bleeding goes away." He told me, sitting down next to me.

"My neck hurts from doing this. Can you get me a pillow?" I asked him. He huffed and looked down, placing his hand at the back of my head to support me. "Why a pillow when you have me?" He mumbled grumpily. My cheeks flushed when I felt that familiar tingling throughout my body. I still had no clue how Alexander was also meant to be with me. This whole situation was weird but also kind of a dream come true in it's way. I wanted to fall in love for so long, and I end up doing so for three men.

"Thank you," I whispered. Alexander pulled the tissue away from my nose and placed the ice pack. I stopped tilting my head and looked at him. "What if it's still bleeding?"

"It's not, I would hear it if it was." Alexander told me.

"Let me guess, your vampire abilities allow you to hear blood flow in a body." I asked him with an eye roll. He grinned at me.

"Clever girl," he said to me. "That's how I found your blood filled capillaries when I bit you."

I looked down at his statement, making his smile disappear. I don't think he fully thought of that before he said it. Now he was realizing that it wasn't a nice thing to say.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bring that back to you." He apologized. I nodded at him, looking at my thigh. He followed my eyes and sighed, placing his hand on top of the mark and rubbing it gently.

"I don't know what you did to me that day," He whispered, staring at the two fading dots. "There was just something about you that attracted me so much, different from those other humans. Your eyes, your voice, your scent. It's all I bloody wanted near me.

It was foolish of me to force you into an arrangement like that. I couldn't make you my pet because you belonged to the twins and that repulsed me. I was so hungry for you.

When I fed on you, I meant to take only a little... But you were and are the best thing I've ever tasted. Besides that, you arouse me so much. Your cries and begging turned me on." He admitted.

Well, that's very dark.

"I haven't been able to drink any other blood after that. It all tastes disgusting compared to yours. You're all I want."

I stared at him, not knowing if I was meant to be grateful for what he just said or scared that he wants only my blood. But the fact that he fed on me for his fun and ended up addicted to me is kind of amusing.

"Is that what your father meant when he said you fed on me romantically?" I asked him.

Alexander rolled his eyes, "No, he took it the wrong way. That type of feeding is what vampires do to each other in relationships. It's feeding while doing other things..."

"What other things?" I asked him with raised eyebrows. He gave me a look that said 'you know exactly what other things' and he was very correct. I did know but I wanted to hear him tell me.

Alexander leaned closer to me, his lips a few centimeters away from mine, "Would you like me to show you?" He asked softly.

"Little rose, can I steal you for a moment?" Silas suddenly spoke, making me quickly pull away from Alexander. My eyes were wider than the ones of a deer in headlights when Silas blankly looked at the interaction I had with Alexander. I nodded, my heart hammering loudly in my chest as I stood up.

"Thanks for the ice, Alexander." I said while clutching onto the icepack, not even looking at him because I was blushing so hard.

"Sure, if you need anything else just ask. And I mean anything." He said. I could tell that he was smirking at me, making me tsk softly.

I followed Silas outside in the backyard. "Let's take a walk around this tiny yard. I have an idea." Silas said, making me slap his shoulder. How dare he? My yard is very big actually. Just because it's not like how it is at his mansion doesn't mean mine is small.

"Rude, this extra land costed thousands." I said to him, holding his hand. I wanted to ask about how Sei was doing. I know that finding out about Alexander really hurt him and he's really having a difficult time accepting it but I miss him. I miss talking to him and cuddling with him.

"What idea do you have?" I asked him, looking at my bare feet on the grass.

"The Island is far behind on technology compared to this place. If we could get those guns the scientists hunted me down with, we could easily get to Valedria." Silas suggested. He wanted us to shoot our way to the vampire leader?

"Obviously we'll have other weapons, like silver. It's also a huge weakness to them." He added.

"But then that would mean war. I didn't think we had to kill anyone else, just Valedria."

"He's probably going to get reinforcements. We just need to go there armed and ready. We also need to gather allies back at the island and here as well. Do you know anyone who works at a military for explosives perhaps?"

Military...

I looked down, wiggling my toes around when the cold blades of grass got between them, "yeah, my parents worked there."

"That's even more perfect, then we can ask and meet you parents. That would be great, baby." Silas said with a big smile. "Then you can get someone in your lab to get weapons for you."

Miracle could do that...

"My parents..." I mumbled to myself.

My parents hate me.
