"You killed her?" Amy sounded a lot more amazed than actually concerned or horrified about the fact that I'd ended someone's life.
"By accident," I added with a nod and the room was quiet for a long minute, so quiet I could hear my own heart thumping in my chest.
I jumped when she started laughing out of nowhere, my brows furrowing as I watched her, wondering if she was having a mental breakdown.
"Amy, are you okay?"
"Okay? I'm fucking ecstatic! Not only is that bitch gone, you're the one who offed her!"
I slapped my hand over her mouth to shut her up, looking towards my door to make sure no one was nearby and she laughed, pulling my hand away.
"I wonder what her face looked like when she realised she was really gonna die. I should've been there to see it. "
I blinked in astonishment at her. Did I just hear her correctly?
She then flopped back onto the bed staring up at the ceiling with a giddy smile while I twiddled my thumbs.
"I can't believe all that happened," she said softly after a while.
"You can't believe it?" I said with a light scoff, "I still think I'm dreaming and I can't wait to wake up. I mean what are the chances of anyone surviving a massacre like that? Especially someone like me?"
My thoughts briefly drifted to Mason and what he'd said about me being the person most likely to survive a horror movie.
He was right after all.
Amy turned onto her side gazing at me with a creepy smile, "I knew you had a little psycho in there."
"Amy," I groaned in embarassment.
She laughed, "so did you get his name?"
"Whose?" I asked in confusion.
"The killer."
I immediately stopped laughing, giving her a deadpan stare, "Amy, you cannot be serious right now."
"Wha-at?" She drawled on a laugh as she saw my expression, "he must've liked you cause he didn't- you know" she made a 'cllk' sound whilst running her thumb from one side of her neck to the other and I rolled my eyes. I'd thought Amy would be the serious one in a situation like this, guess I was wrong.
"You need to stop playing." I said biting my lip, "he was a masked murderer who knocked me unconscious. For all I know he thought he'd done the job. Maybe he's just sloppy, Mason got away too you know."
"So the killer is bi then, big deal."
I blinked at her before grabbing a pillow and whacking her with it.
"Amy, get real!"
"Okay, okay!" She laughed grabbing the pillow and sitting upright, "I'm just really glad you're okay Kitty. I'm trying to lighten the mood."
I smiled and hugged her softly, "Good thing I ramble when I'm nervous, I think that's what amused him most."

"I think he just got a killer boner from seeing you off Cassandra," Amy laughed and I giggled a little despite feeling slightly uncomfortable.
She could be right.
"Well I mean he did have a-- um, but he didn't see me do it. Oh my God I can't believe I'm here talking about this like it's normal! I could go to prison!" My heart began to pound in my chest.
"Calm down," Amy grabbed my shoulders, "You won't go to prison. There was a killer, everyone will just assume he did it."
"Yeah but-- I'm going to hell."
It was her turn to deadpan, "No you're not, you killed a spawn of Satan. You'll be welcomed into heaven with open arms."
I laughed a little and she rubbed my back, "just keep calm, everything will be okay."
I steadied my breathing and blew out a breath, blinking away the tears that had sprung up, "Amy, we can't ignore this. "
"Yeah, I know," she said softly placing a hand on my shoulder, "but you don't need to go crazy because of it either. Everyone has skeletons in their closet, just some more than others."
"Even you?"
"Especially me," she chuckled before shaking my shoulders, "come on, sleep on it. We've got school Monday and there's no way you're not going. This doesn't have to change your life. Everything will be alright."
I nodded but deep inside I knew it was just wishful thinking because whether I admitted it or not, nothing was the same and things could only get worse from here on out
☆
After breakfast on Sunday the doorbell rang and Sara went to answer it, returning later with two police officers. The shorter of the two was pudgy and had a scraggly moustache but his expression was a lot more cheery than the other's who I assumed was his partner. He was tall and slender and he looked all around with his beady eyes before they landed on me, holding a look of suspicion.
My palms began to sweat and I wiped them on my jeans.
Sara had told me they'd be coming to take my statement today but I wasn't ready. I wished Amy was here but she had already went home.
Sara led us into the living room where the officers set up the video camera and we sat across from them. I gave a slightly nervous smile. I probably should've planned what I was going to say before they came but now it was too late and my mind was blank.
They introduced themselves as officer Regan, who was the skinny one, and officer Brenner. I toyed with the hem of my shirt looking at my hands and they began to speak, asking me to describe what happened that night.
"Well," I spoke slowly, avoiding their gaze, "After what we saw at the diner everyone was spooked but decided to go to the cabin anyway, it-"
"The diner?" Officer Regan asked, "this was the one on the highway to Knox where they found the bodies?"

I nodded slowly, "Yeah, we were hungry so all of us stopped to get something to eat but no one was around so me and Mason went around the back to look-"
"Mason is the young fellow who also escaped?" Brenner asked and I nodded again.
Officer Regan gave a slightly more suspicious look jotting something down before saying, "please continue."
I cleared my throat, wiping my sweaty hands on my jeans, "There was no-one in the kitchen but as we got to the 'Employee's Only' door I stepped in some blood and that's when we opened it and saw them. The others came around and they were freaked out so we left. I wanted to go home but Cassandra wouldn't have it."
"And this Cassandra is the sister of Mason, correct?"
I nodded, wondering why they kept asking when they obviously already knew but I didn't say anything and just kept on talking trying to make it as straight to the point and quick as possible.
"We got to the cabin, I went upstairs to text Amy and when I got back down they were all-" I paused, wondering if I should talk about the drinking. The underage drinking that is.
Both officers looked at me pointedly and I looked down again biting my lip, "they were all drinking..."
"Alcohol?" Officer Brenner asked.
I nodded looking nervously at Sara who had her arms crossed and a straight face.
"Were there also any narcotics involved?" Asked Regan and I quickly shook my head.
"Just drinks-"
"Did you drink?" Brenner questioned, "you won't get in trouble if you did. We just need all the information."
Shaking my head I looked over at Sara again, "no I don't drink."
Sara looked pleased with my answer and I saw her relax slightly.
"When I got back they were ready to play st- spin the bottle." I caught myself quickly before mentioning the stripping part, knowing Sara would not be happy knowing I was taking my clothes off in front of people. Officer Regan though, seemed to know. Maybe they had already taken Mason's statement and he hadn't left the stripping part out.
I continued, "We were playing and then Cassandra got mad at me when I didn't want to play anymore and she attacked me but she was taken upstairs by the others and then the lights went out. Dylan and Nick went outside to check it out and I went upstairs to get my phone."
My heart was beating a mile a minute in my chest. Everyone wretched me silently as tears pricked at the corners of my eyes. What would I say? I went upstairs, got into a fight with Cassandra and killed her?!
"It's okay," Officer Brenner gave a reassuring smile, "you can take your time I know it's hard."
I let out a breath wondering what to say. I wasn't teary because they'd all died, I was teary because I felt like if I messed up even the smallest detail I would be caught for sure and taken to jail or worse.
"I uh- I went into the room and then I heard screaming. Before I could leave he came in- "
Officer Regan began to stroke his chin as Brenner asked, "He as in the killer?"
"Yes," I nodded.
"How long were you in this room?" Regan questioned.
"Uh I.. I don't know..." I stuttered out. He's definitely onto me.
"Were you alone when the masked man entered the room?" Reagan asked again.
I answered, "yes" without hesitation then realized my mistake. Cassandra's body was found in the same room I was. How do I explain that? Thinking quickly I added, "When he pushed me someone ran into the room but I'm not sure who it was it happened so fast."
"And you're sure it was a he?" Brenner asked making me feel a wave of relief wash over me.
I nodded, "I heard his voice. He had on a mask and it was muffled but it was definitely a male's voice. "
"What did he say?"
My cheeks heated up and I wiped my hands again, "he said he was going to kill me. Then he pushed me and that's all I remember."
Officer Regan looked over at officer Brenner before looking back to me, "That is all that happened?"
I folded my lips breathing as normally as I could. It wouldn't add up. Why would a killer butcher everyone but just push me? I knew he probably didn't kill me because he was intrigued but I can't tell the officers that. My entire body heated up as I thought about him being pressed up against me. I'd definitely felt him poking my stomach and-
Oh my gosh what am I doing?!
I cleared my throat, "Before he pushed me he was acting weird-"
"In what way?" Regan looked interested in what I had to say.
"He- he seemed to be having like a bad headache or something. He was holding his head and he looked in pain so I tried to help him-"
"Mija?!" Sara exclaimed, speaking up for the first time since I started giving my statement, "Ay dios mío, are you crazy trying to help a killer?"
"I didn't know he was a killer!" I tried to catch myself, "I thought one of the guys were just messing with me," it amazed me how easily the lies started to come, "Anyway when I touched him, that's when he pushed me. That's all."
Both officers nodded and after jotting down a few more stuff they gave me a little talk to make me "feel better" and let me know it was over. They packed up their stuff and a few minutes later they were gone. I really hoped that would be my first and last time seeing them.

Absolute Power of the Imagination
(Hello this is a story that I'm making and is basically just my fantasy of what it would be like to be a human with god-like powers and the MC is going to have my personality so you are reading some of my desires.) Everyone has at least once thought what it would it would be like to be GOD but only so many people have actually thought about it deeply and this story is going to be through my thoughts as what it would be like to be a god-like being that was once human (because it would be no fun to read or write what it would be like to be GOD since there are no obstacles as the definition of GOD.) (I'm writing this because my new favorite novel "Michael Ammers: My OP leisure life" has been dropped or is on a really long hiatus.
