I sighed deeply and plucked another piece of tomato.

"When will I ever see you again... Hikan?"

"Will you ever find me?" As time passes by, my hope of seeing you again losses.

Two years ago, I ran away from home and went to the countryside to live peacefully. After my mother knew Hikan had left, she found a new replacement for him.

I tried to reason with her that Hikan would come back, but she didn't listen to me, so I ran away.

"Y/n!" I turned my head to see someone calling out to me. I walked toward her and showed the basket full of ripe tomatoes.

"This is amazing, Y/n! We'll probably earn a lot of money from this!" I giggled at her enthusiasm.

"Anyways, Edward is inside the house...Looking for you~" She cooed the last sentence while wiggling her eyebrows.

"Aunt Therese!!" I replied, and she just laughed at me. I walked away from her and entered the house.

"Y/n."

"Hello, Edward," I said while waving my hand. I then placed the basket on the counter and walked to him.

"What brings you here?" I asked.

"I wanted to see you." He replied while taking out a rose behind him he then gave it to me.

"Thank you" I smiled at him, and he seemed to blush slightly.

"Um, Are you free today?" He asked while looking away.

"Sorry, Edward. Me and aunt Therese are busy-" Before I could finish my sentence, someone interrupted me.

"Yeah, sure. You can go now, Edward. Just bring her back before midnight. Enjoy yourselves!" She said while pushing us out of the house and shutting the door.

"Well... Should we go now, My Lady?" He said while bowing in front of me. I slapped his head and laughed.

"Oh please, stop that." I giggled. He took my hand and entered the carriage.

"So where are we going?" I asked.

"In the town, I heard there's this new restaurant that sells tasty food!" He replied while smiling at me.

"I'm excited." I said.

After a few minutes, we finally arrived at the restaurant. There were a lot of people lining up outside.

"Don't worry. I reserved a table for just the two of us!" He said and winked at me. I just chuckled at him.

"Ok then." I replied with a smile.

"Thank you so much, Edward." I said

"It's nothing." He replied while a blush slowly crept on his face. He opened his mouth to say something but hesitated.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Er, um..." I went closer to him and raised my eyebrows.

"CanIcourtyou." He muttered.

"What?" I chuckled.

"Nevermind." He replied, looking away from me. I kissed his cheeks which made him look at me confused.

"I'll think about it." I said and winked at him.

I entered the house and closed the door leaning on it. I felt my face getting hot, and my heart skipped a beat.

'I know that it's wrong for me to feel this way... I'm sorry, Hikan.' I sighed.

"Ahem.." I look up only to see aunt Therese leaning on the wall.

"Mind telling me what happened today, young lady?" She asked while wiggling her eyebrows.

"Oh, I'm so tired~ I need to sleep. Goodnight, aunt Therese." I hurriedly walked to my room and locked the door.

*Bang*

The loud sound made me fall off my bed.

"Y/n, wake up!" I opened the door and saw aunt Therese smiling at me weirdly.

"What is it now?" I tiredly asked.

"There's this handsome boy in the living room looking for you~" She coed.

I yawned and closed the door, but she prevented it by placing her hand between the door.

"Y/n, you better go there." She said while smiling at me creepily. I sighed and dragged myself downstairs.

"Good girl." She praised.

I walked down the stairs and noticed a familiar hair color from a distance.

As I went closer, I saw his face. He was busy fixing his clothes that he didn't notice me standing in front of him.

"Hikan?" I asked. He looked at me and smiled.

"Y/n." He hurriedly got up and hugged me.

"I missed you so much. I'm sorry I took too long to find you." He said.

"I missed you too. It's ok, Hikan. I'm glad to see you now." I replied, hugging him tightly.

"I hope I'm not that late." He said and grabbed my hand.

"Well, you are." Someone said. I turned around only to see Edward glaring at Hikan. Edward walked up to us and grabbed my hand away from Hikan.

"You should go home." Edward added while pulling me towards him, making me surprised by the sudden action.

"And if I won't?" Hikan replied while glaring at him.

On the other side of the room, I saw aunt Therese peeking while seeping her cup of tea. I sighed deeply and face-palmed myself.
