《The Accident - an II fanfiction》announcement

hello! i've decided to discontinue this book.
there's a lot of reasons why - i made it when i was in a bad place mentally so most of it is just an excuse to vent and make bad things happen to the characters, leading to it having horrible pacing and even worse writing. it feels like more of a chore to continue it rather than a fun hobby, which it should be.
i guess i just felt pressured to make an object show fanfic and more specifically an evil test tube one. i will give it credit in the way that the premise of having test tube just being really mentally ill and in mourning instead of pure evil out of boredom was unique and creative, and that she wasn't just doing things to "experiment" and had an actual goal and remorse for her actions.
i met a lot of nice people and gained a decent following through this book, and those people made me feel at home. i guess i took "new year, new me" a bit too seriously with deciding to finally put this book to rest, huh?
but, yeah, i'm not gonna keep on rambling and just finish this with a little list explaining how it would've ended and a few things i had planned for it (not a lot though, as this book was made with zero planning and most of the events just came into my mind while i was daydreaming and i thought "huh, why not put this in my story?". thinking back, that was probably what caused its downfall.)
-test tube would've helped clonebulb learn about the world and her former life, trying to make her fit more into lightbulb's personality. one of the things she would find out about was shoes, gloves and clothes, and influenced by test tube's grief, guilt and wish to always be safe and wear protective gear, so she would've constantly begged for shoes.

-along the way, clonebulb would've learned about how trees are alive, giving test tube the idea to just cut down a few trees and use that for the wood to make paintbrush instead of killing someone.
-clonebulb would've discovered bowbot, gotten jealous that test tube cared about someone other than her and her "friends", and destroyed her.
-paintbrush would've been created, but something would've gone wrong during the process, leaving them more fragile and they would've died a few days later.
-clonebulb, with her mind now clouded with grief and guilt that she killed bowbot, would've assumed that she killed them in her sleep and frantically gone to recover fan with leftover materials and regular paper to "make up" for her supposed murders, accidentally using the recovery machine wrong and setting the whole lab ablaze. test tube, stuck in her bedroom and unable to get out because of the fire, would've frantically explained to clonebulb how to exit the lab and told her partial bits of the truth. clonebulb would've managed to safely exit the lab, ran to hotel oj and explained what happened, and they would've done their best to put out the fire, but to no avail.
-the final chapter would have clonebulb being taught more about the world and slowly being accepted by the guests of hotel oj. a few days after "the accident", knife would've came to her and explained that one of the only things they managed to recover from the lab was a pair of shoes, and clonebulb would've accepted them.
i tried to make some sort of vague ending where it's hinted at that clonebulb continued the cycle and tried to bring test tube back, metaphorically and literally "walking a mile in her shoes", but yeah, it sucks.
i may rewrite this book, but don't get your hopes up. i will be making some other books, though, so keep an eye out for those!
this hasn't been edited since it's new years right now and i wanted to get this out 2023, but i hope it explains everything well enough. i'm sorry if you enjoyed the book and wanted to read the rest, but at least i gave you some sort of closure with letting you know how it would've ended.

Homeland
NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER -- In Cory Doctorow’s wildly successful Little Brother, young Marcus Yallow was arbitrarily detained and brutalized by the government in the wake of a terrorist attack on San Francisco—an experience that led him to become a leader of the whole movement of technologically clued-in teenagers, fighting back against the tyrannical security state.A few years later, California's economy collapses, but Marcus’s hacktivist past lands him a job as webmaster for a crusading politician who promises reform. Soon his former nemesis Masha emerges from the political underground to gift him with a thumbdrive containing a Wikileaks-style cable-dump of hard evidence of corporate and governmental perfidy. It’s incendiary stuff—and if Masha goes missing, Marcus is supposed to release it to the world. Then Marcus sees Masha being kidnapped by the same government agents who detained and tortured Marcus years earlier.Marcus can leak the archive Masha gave him—but he can’t admit to being the leaker, because that will cost his employer the election. He’s surrounded by friends who remember what he did a few years ago and regard him as a hacker hero. He can’t even attend a demonstration without being dragged onstage and handed a mike. He’s not at all sure that just dumping the archive onto the Internet, before he’s gone through its millions of words, is the right thing to do.Meanwhile, people are beginning to shadow him, people who look like they’re used to inflicting pain until they get the answers they want. Fast-moving, passionate, and as current as next week, Homeland is every bit the equal of Little Brother—a paean to activism, to courage, to the drive to make the world a better place.
