Katsuki sighed, it was another night of him being alone. Katsuki had friends and a boyfriend yet both were out of the question. Katsuki wanted nothing more than to be in the arms of his lover, Shoto who was out with his friends. Like most nights.
Katsuki felt like Shoto never wanted to hang out with him anymore, Shoto was constantly going out with the Dekusquad, and when the group hangouts were over he and Izuku would have personal ones. As much as Katsuki claimed he hated Izuku he didn't mind the personal hang outs, if it wasn't for the fact it happened more than the couple had dates. Katsuki spent more nights waiting for Shoto to come home than he spent holding his lover's hand. Katsuki didn't want to come off as clingy but he didn't want to be replaced. Katsuki was fairly confident that Shoto loved him more than anything in this world yet even when he got cocky he realized he is the one who is alone currently. Yet that didn't matter! Shoto loved Katsuki more than anything, Katsuki was sure of it! And Katsuki loved Shoto more than anything, that he would prove.
Katsuki and Shoto had been dating since school, Katsuki had fallen in love with Shoto's hopeless romantic antics as the two quirked boy insisted that he would make a great partner and now Katsuki knew that to be true, and even then Katsuki as well believed it; even if it was in secret during that time.
Shoto would prove his quality partnership by sending gift after gift to the ash blonde, getting more expensive as they increased in number. Katsuki had tried to return most but Shoto wouldn't allow it. Katsuki wasn't trying to play hard to get, he actually had a tiny crush during that time but his squad was quite protective. They personally wanted to make sure Shoto was the right boy for their "Bakubaby". They were more embarrassing than any parent could be, they fit the role very nicely though. Shoto didn't mind Katsuki's friends making a big deal out of it, he found the challenge exhilarating and easily won over his squad.
Shoto didn't need to win over Katsuki like he had to do for his squad because Katsuki was already knee deep in love. How could he not fall in love with someone who went to great lengths to show how much Katsuki meant to them?
Though some people didn't think it was a good idea for Shoto and Katsuki to date. Especially when Katsuki and Izuku had their own rocky relations. They didn't think such could work out.
It was true, Katsuki had his issues with Shoto's "best friend." Katsuki had his issues with Izuku yet he would never allow them to interfere with his relationship. Also, when Katsuki grew up, he didn't feel the same way he felt all those years ago. Did he still find Izuku annoying? Yes. But he also found his boyfriend annoying and he still loved him greatly. So it wasn't really fair to go off such a judgment.
Katsuki didn't have any problems with his life. None at all. Sure, he would enjoy having a little more alone time with his boyfriend but they were pro heroes and they were constantly busy. They barely had free time and Shoto already lived with Katsuki.

Yet still, it wouldn't hurt to have a date night once in a while, watch a movie here and there. Katsuki even altered his bed routine to try and get some more time with his boyfriend though it didn't help much. At least he was still able to fall asleep in his lover's arms. Yet Katsuki found himself waking up miserable. Ever since Katsuki changed his sleep schedule, his body and mind weren't able to stay on equal terms, unable to catch up to the change. All he wanted was to sleep but he hated sleeping before he saw Shoto. Katsuki hated going to sleep without telling his lover the three words, "I love you." Katsuki couldn't go to sleep without saying it or hearing it. No matter how tired.
Katsuki often spent most nights alone, and those that weren't lonely he spent with his friends and occasionally his boyfriend.
Katsuki and his squad had a squad sleepover at least once a month, to relive their childhood antics of being close and carefree. Katsuki's squad was family so Katsuki understood Shoto's actions. Shoto probably thought of the Dekusquad as his family as well and Izuku had done so much to help the two quirked boy so it was understandable. Katsuki wasn't upset.
Katsuki sighed, all this thinking was making his head hurt, and it was too late in the night to be getting in his feelings. They always confused him anyway and there was no need to over analyze a silly situation he made up when he was feeling insecure and weak.
Running a hand through his hair Katsuki sighed once more, he wanted nothing more for Shoto to come home and hold him, watch a movie or two as Katsuki enjoyed the warmth of his lover. It was a particularly cold night and Katsuki wanted his personal heater to hold him close and never let go. Katsuki's eyes struggled to stay open as he imagined Shoto's arms being wrapped around him.
They both had the day off tomorrow so Katsuki hoped they could have a little date or hang out. It's been a while and Katsuki wants to do something special. Maybe he could make his lover his favorite meal, Shoto hasn't been eating at home since he comes home so late so Katsuki wasn't able to cook for him like he used to.
Katsuki smiled, he remembered the first time he made Shoto cold soba. Shoto had finally succeeded in convincing Katsuki's squad that he was good enough for Katsuki and they had just begun dating. Shoto, charming as ever, would constantly give Katsuki things and make loving comments yet Katsuki was a blushing mess who could barely get a thank you out. Katsuki wanted to show he appreciated Shoto the best way he knew how, by cooking. Shoto didn't hide the fact that his favorite food was cold soba and Katsuki was fairly confident in his cooking ability to give Shoto such a meal. Katsuki was a blushing mess when he presented Shoto with the neatly packed meal, Shoto who was confident as ever accepted the gift with open arms, pulling Katsuki into his lap as he grabbed the gift. Cheeky little bastard knew how to make Katsuki blush with the slightest thing.
Katsuki had continued to cook for Shoto ever since that day, and Shoto always gushed about how wonderful of a cook Katsuki was. Katsuki missed the simple praises he got from Shoto yet that's what happens when you both work long hours and have different things to do in a day's time.

Katsuki loved many things about Shoto. Katsuki loved his smile, his eyes, his hair, his laugh, his personality. Katsuki loved everything. Yet Katsuki's favorite thing about Shoto was the sweet kiss Shoto would plant on his lips when he came home. It was the first thing he would do, nothing came between it.
Shoto was Katsuki's first kiss. The first time they kissed wasn't long after they started dating. Shoto always gently kissed Katsuki's hand as they held them, and a kiss on the cheek as they parted ways but never on the lips. Katsuki was actually nervous and quite reluctant. Yet when the time actually happened Katsuki never wanted to stop. Shoto was so sweet and tender. Touch Katsuki ever so gently, soft to the touch. Katsuki knew he wanted to marry Shoto at that very moment. He never wanted to leave that man's arms again.
Katsuki smiled fondly at his memories, every memory he had with Shoto was a happy one. He couldn't even think of anything bad to say about his lovely boyfriend.
Katsuki continued to re-imagine the memories he and Shoto created over the years and as he walk himself down memory lane. Time began to pass and before he knew it Shoto had come home.
Well Shoto AND Izuku had made an appearance. Katsuki wouldn't of minded if it wasn't for the fact he could barley keep his eyes open.
Katsuki stayed on the couch, he sat in a bundle of blankets and pillows waiting for his kiss but it never came. Shoto and Izuku walked right past him. Katsuki pouted, Shoto always gave him his kiss. It was the first thing Shoto did when he got home, what made today different?
Katsuki listened to the light hearted conversation Izuku and Shoto were having, his pout turned from a frown when Izuku was the one to mention him.
"Where's Kachaan?" Izuku asked from their kitchen.
"Katsuki's probably sleeping." Shoto responded as he fixed two glasses of water for them.
"I'm on the couch, asshole." Katsuki muttered through his pout. He was sulking.
"Hey Kachaan! I didn't think you could stay up so late." Izuku teased playfully as he walked to the couch.
Katsuki's pout quickly changed, "I changed the sleep routine, nerd."
Izuku looked shocked, "But you've been using the same routine since UA!"
Katsuki shrugged, "I can change."
Izuku laughed yet dropped the conversation.
Shoto walked in and handed Izuku a glass of water.
"Sho..." Katsuki mumbled softly, wanting to gain his boyfriend's attention so they could finally go to bed and maybe talk about going on a date the next day.
Yet Shoto didn't hear as he continued his conversation with Izuku. Katsuki sulked even more.
"Sho!" Katsuki said slightly louder, a furious blush on his face.
"Huh?" Shoto said as he looked at his blushing boyfriend.
"Sorry Kachaan, we were talking about going to the opening ceremony of the new hero agency! Did you hear about it?"
Katsuki blush faded, a frown fell into his face, "Yeah, a bunch of bullshit it is. A bunch of jokers wanting fame." Was that jealousy?
"It's exciting!" Izuku countered with a half smile.
Katsuki looked away with a frown, "Could be doing better things than that!"
"Anyway, did you need something?" Shoto asked as he looked at the nervous ash blonde.
"I was wondering if you wanted to do something tomorrow. Like.. a date or something?"
"Maybe next time, or during the night."
Katsuki's frown deepened, Izuku's half smile faded into a nervous and slightly uncomfortable face, Shoto the same as usual.
"Yeah, I'll just stay up late waiting for you to come back just to go to sleep after. Ill wait another three months for the day off." Katsuki muttered softly, not bothering to make eye contact with Shoto, nor really expecting Shoto to hear. Katsuki wished he would've kept his mouth shut.
"You hang out with your squad too, why can't I?" Shoto countered, he stared down Katsuki who refused to look at the other two males in the room.
Katsuki seemed offended, how dare he?
Katsuki rolled his eyes, "You're not even hanging out with the "squad" and at least I try to hang out with you. You'd rather hang out with your other boyfriend."
Izuku did not want to be brought into their argument, he tried to make himself small as the two began to argue more.
Shoto rolled his eyes, "Midoriya is my best friend, you don't hear me complain about you and Kirishima."
"I'm not up Kirishima's ass following him around like a damn puppy. Nobody confuses me and Kiri for dating like you and the nerd." Katsuki complained, still keeping his eyes on the couch rather than his boyfriend. He refused to meet his eyes.
Shoto rolled his eyes, "Nobody confuses me and Midoriya. You're being dramatic. Plus you were the one that didn't want to tell people we were dating when I first asked."
Katsuki scoffed, "Sorry for being nervous! Plus it wouldn't be hard to notice if you would spend time and go on a date with me once and while. I'm sure the press would spread a story like wildfire."
"What, so you want me to drop my friends? Pick you or Midoriya?" Shoto asked, raising his voice slightly a bit of a mocking tone.
"Maybe you should." Katsuki mumbled sarcastically as he pulled the blanket over his face. Katsuki didn't want to argue, just wanted to go to sleep with his boyfriend, was it terrible to want such?
"Guys, it's getting late... maybe we should rest?" Izuku said nervously as he eyed both males.
"Maybe you're right..." Shoto spoke calmly which upset Katsuki. Did he really enjoy Izuku more? Would Shoto really choose Izuku over him?
"Go ahead... choose." Katsuki mumbled from under the blanket, he was confident despite the way he sounded. He and Shoto loved each other, planned on getting married, there was no way he wouldn't pick Katsuki. Then this whole thing would blow over and things could go back to normal. Get over the silly argument, Katsuki and Shoto could have their dates and Shoto and Izuku could hang out.
Katsuki had his arms opened underneath the blanket, he awaited for the hug and hopefully the kiss he longed for... but? It never came. Katsuki stuck his head out the covers to see his apartment door shut behind the two males who left.
Katsuki felt tears form in his eyes. Shoto didn't even bother saying another word, he just left.
Didn't even think about it.
Katsuki didn't even get his kiss.

Fortuna Verto
A girl’s luck changes when her world changes upon itself, sending her back and forth between a world she knows and another that shouldn’t even exist. Working with her parallel self from that other world, the two must adjust to their alternate form when visiting the other’s world, as they search for a way to escape the chains of misfortune they are bound to. While this story is the conclusion of the trilogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, as the world of Celese itself is no longer a place the characters will be journeying through. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for all previous books, in case that matters to anyone. This book has an additional chapter after the final chapter that represents the trilogy conclusion, and should not be read until all three books are read first. Fortuna Verto continues the events of Essentia Animus to advance society into a sci-fi interpretation of Celese, bringing events to a distant world of another star. At the same time, events interpret a real-world advancement into a similar sci-fi age of another planet that shares Earth’s galaxy, a planet that has also been linked by the Celesi Veil. English remains predominant in both worlds of the story, but the presence of both sides makes certain Aethyx terms stand out, while Earth-styled scientific terms will also stand in a powerful contrast. Instrumentation remains an important aspect of the Elemental Era, but the influence of the gift has grown distant after discovering the superiority of the elements. Harnessing the elements had eliminated some of the original limitations of instrumentation, allowing for a self-sustaining focal source that provides solutions to problems such as automation. This turns the development available from the previous modern-day sense of a fantasy to one that is deep-future. Finally, opening access to the passage across the veil will open this progress in comparison to a very similar deep-future parallel world without such fantasy elements, contrasting the laws of physics with the laws of elements in a convergence of time and space.
