Nyx's pov
"What exactly are we looking for?" Andros asked Fay with impatience lacing his voice, "We are running out of time!"
"If we do not get this, you think we would be able to take her down if anything happens?" Fay turned to him giving him a very stern look which forced him to keep shut.
"I want to go see my friend at the vampire's mummy." Amara cried for the umpteenth town as we went deeper into the ruins. I was sure that at this point we were lost, "Can we go now?"
"No baby." I cooed smoothing her hair trying to calm her down, "The vampires are bad people."
"Bu…"
"No more talk about the vampires." Lycus growled and immediately she went mute which progressed into a sulking mood as she pouted at Lycus.
He gave a sad face before placing a hand to my hip and leaning into me, "We have to give her a long talk about the vampires Hermosa."
"A really long talk." I agreed as we continued walking. We followed Fay's lead having no idea where she was taking us and if she was leading us to our doom. I was ever ready to attack her from behind if she pulled anything stupid.
"Got it!" She squealed and motioned with her hands for us to move aside which we did and then we began to watch her.
She stared at the open space before us and we looked at her in confusion. She moved few paces behind with her hands stretched out before her and then suddenly she began to move them with incantations coming fort from her.
Nyx! Nyx! Hera called making me to lose my concentration, It's fucking urgent!
What's going on? I asked her as I could feel that she was anxious and was probably fidgeting, Can you just say it already!!
Remember how I was really weak when we were kidnapped, it's not just the wolfsbane or potions Nyx, it was something else and it was my job to find out, She rambled on and on pulling me into confusion further, Gosh! I am nervous, I could have known, I never knew that..
Can you just say it! I snapped and at this moment, the thin air before us began to part as if there was some hidden portal present in it, You are making me anxious!
Please do not freak out, She breathed, It was bound to happen, it's exciting and you know what, we…
"Everyone get in before it closes!" Fay yelled interrupting the conversation between Hera and I and almost immediately we all jumped through the portal amidst Fay's instructions, landing into an entirely different dimension.
It was nothing like I have ever seen before, all was white which I never expected with also white shelves carved into the walls from the stone, "Every witch has this but it is always hidden as this is where their powers, potions and energies are stored." It didn't take too long for me to know that it belonged to Helena and all the shelves with tiny bottles which contained mystical solids, liquids and vapours were different kind of spells that she had casted.

The place had a calming aura and the fact that it was all white preached peace and purity which was contrary to what Helena was.
Other shelves contained old books and various herbs while the centre of the room caught my attention.
Right in the middle stood a stone work like counter which had claws stretching out and converging at the top. In the middle of the converge was a black ball of heated like trendrils which was protected by wooden like lines around it. It was like it was in a wooden barred box, "What is that?"
"That is where her power is centralised." Fay explained to us, "Every witch has one and once it's destroyed, it brings the witch being down to it's knees and diminishes all powers the person has possessed, it can lead to death."
"So if we destroy it, she's gone?" Lycus asked with a sad look and I placed a hand on his shoulder. It was still hard for him to accept all of these. That the person whom he knew as his mother for years was actually a monster, "Are you saying my mother would be ended for good?"
"I am not quite sure." Fay sighed, "She is a hybrid making her extra powerful, one of the lupis dias and a learned witch who knows her way around magic well enough, this might not be her main source of power. She wouldn't make herself that easy to get."
"So why did you bring us here?" Andros asked with a frown, "If we can't do anything to help our situation here, we had best get out of here before they return."
"We can try to lessen her powers a bit by destroying every spell she has in a bottle." She said, "And if we can get hands on that." She pointed at the central power thingy, "And destroy it. It will do a good number on her but not destroy her completely."
"Are you sure this is going to work?" I asked with uncertainty going through me and she nodded in affirmative, "I will go first." I said and leapt through the air and straight onto the counter. My hand touched the ball's cage, it burned and a large force field was created around it protecting it which sent me bouncing across the room.
"Mummy!" Amara gasped running towards me.
"This would be hard." Andros sighed as Lycus rushed to my side.
"Are you okay?" He asked helping me up and I could only nod, "Are you sure?"
"Yes." I nodded and gave both him and Amara a smile as my daughter was already pouting and lycus wouldn't stop worrying.
"Let's focus on destroying the spells." Fay said due to my failed attempt at taking the glowing ball.
We sprung into action, breaking the tiny bottles. As we did that, smokes of different kinds emerged, foul smell permeated the air with the sound of shattering glasses against the floor piercing the air.
We had made considerable progress in destroying her spells while hoping that she wasn't powerful enough to be unaffected by it. I used my little strength to push some bottles down, Lycus used his teleportation to go as high as the room ceilings to bring them down, Fay used her magic, Andros used his speed while Amara just stood aside watching while asking when exactly we were going home.

We continued our mission while I worried about why my powers still haven't surfaced, "Ahh." I moaned bracing myself against the wall, I felt weak and dizzy. It wasn't the usual one I always felt, this one was strange and unfamiliar.
"Are you okay?" Lycus was beside me immediately. His hands on my waist and I leaned in to accept his touch, rubbing my head against his chest, "You sounded like you were in pain."
"I am fine." I sighed looking up at him. His dark eyes peered down at me with a hint of guilt and remorse. I felt the emotions from him almost immediately now that our mate bond was restored, "You shouldn't be sorry Lycus, it's not your fault." I spoke out knowing very well what he was thinking, "None of us expected this and in the end we would be free." I reached out a hand and skimmed my fingers across his face, "I love you."
"I love you more and don't you forget that." He kissed my forehead and hugged me tighter, "Let's get this over with so we can go home and I shall treat you to a nice meal and some hot massage."
"I look forward to it." I grinned and we pulled away from each other going back to our duties of destroying the spells.
I picked up one bottle and threw it down. Transparent smokes came forth with a ridiculous calming scent and before we could say whatthefuck?! The room we were in disintegrated, the white fading, the portal strained and the room now resembled any other one in the castle with it's spell ruins, "This is not good." Fay wailed in distress, "I think you just destroyed her spell for enchanting the room and now she is definitely going to find out." Just then a loud caw was heard from outside followed with heavy footsteps, disturbing howls and shouts of warrior men, her warriors.
"We should get out of here!" Andros yelled trying to find a way through the ruins, "She is coming!"
"I just mind linked the warriors to advance and attack, hopefully we might be able to hold off before they get in." Lycus added.
"What is going on mummy?" Amara cried holding on to me as I hugged her dearly, "Are we going to die?"
"No, we are not." I kissed her forehead and rubbed her hair, "Just remember that mummy loves you okay? And you have to be a strong girl for mummy."
"Fay, you are getting out of here with Amara." Lycus said to Fay like we just discussed on the mind link.
"I can't leave you guys h…" She protested.
"You are leaving here with my daughter and you must keep her safe!" He said sternly and walked over to Amara and I.
It was his turn to take her in his arms now, hugging her with so much compassion, "Daddy loves you okay dear?" He ruffled her hair playfully, "We would come get you after all these." He said and she nodded with tears flowing down her cheeks, "I love you Amara." He kissed her forehead.
"I love you too daddy." She kissed his cheek and then she turned to wrap her arms around me, "I love you mummy, I don't want to leave. What if she is like aunt Willow?" That was a question I had no answer to and in this case I had no choice.
Nyx, I have to tell you this now! Hera said after saying her good byes to Cora.
This is not the time! I yelled at her and handed Amara over to Fay, "Take care of her please." I pleaded finding it hard to let go of Amara's hand who was clutching tightly to mine while still crying, "Please Fay, take care of her."
"If she comes to any harm I shall kill you!" Lycus threatened.
"I assure you she won't and I would take good care of her." Fay said and for some reason she was equally as emotional as we were.
"Bye uncle Andros." Amara bumped fists with Andros, "Piggy back ride when I come back?"
"Of course." He smiled at her, "Of course my dear, anything you want."
We said our final good byes and with that Fay vanished into thin air taking my daughter along with her and for some reason I felt calm about the situation and also overprotective which was way too sudden.
Nyx! For goddess sake hear me out! Hera was back to yelling in my head and at the same time the warriors of Helena were really visible running towards us, Are you even listening to me?
I ignored Hera and worried about how I would fight them off not wanting to be a liability to Andros and my mate, "How dare they?!" Helena's voice boomed through out the castle like thunder claps and the warriors were closing in on us.
She wasn't visible yet she sounded really near.
Nyx! Hera yelled again, We are pregnant! She screeched. Time stopped at her words. The warriors came closer and closer with Lycus and Andros shifting into their wolves as the warriors did the same.
What did you just say? I asked her in unbelief and this time I saw Helena coming at us with full speed, willow and Titan by her side as expected. They were all in their wolf's form leaping over the warriors advancing towards us.
We are carrying Lycus's pup! She yelled again and at the same time Helena's red wolf screamed my name and leapt across the air towards me, the warriors charged on and all hell broke loose.
