Nyx's pov
I like you a lot, I remembered his words as my fingers skimmed his face, his eyes that once looked at me with adoration and fondness were shut tight, I wish I could protect you, I recall when he had said this, "I wish i could protect you too Andros." Tears streamed down my cheeks as I held his face, "Wake up please." I whispered, "You can't die on me Andros."
Will you run away with me when things get worse? And instead of that, he took the blow for me, he didn't run leaving me, he took what was meant to kill me, "Andros please." I gripped the tree by it's trunk with my hands pulling at it with all my might and I was able to wretch it from him much to my surprise.
You know I do care about you Nyx, His words echoed in my head as I flung the tree aside, my hands gripped his body as he slid down to the ground, no a word was heard from him, not a sigh and not even the batting of an eyelid, I wouldn't mind if you were mine though, These words of his brought the pain rushing in knowing fully well that he stuck with me till the end despite my un-reciprocated feelings.
"No." It came out as a strangled whisper as I held his lifeless body against mine, "No." I wracked a sob, tears fell, "No!" I screamed, I wailed letting the grief overcome me. He was dead, lying lifeless in my arms with his body as cold as ice.
Do you trust me Nyx? I wrapped my hands around him feeling his blood stain me as I waited stupidly to hear a breathing noise from him despite knowing fully well that he was long gone, his words were in my head, even though I hadn't fully trusted him, he had never betrayed me, You came here bruised and broken. Now look at you still standing strong and being admired, "And I did that with your help Andros, you helped me." I muttered to him waiting for a reply, "No! You can't die just yet."
Nyx, watch out, His last words haunted my mind as a wailed like a mother who had just lost her child, "Andros!" I screamed his name, "You can't be dead, please say something!" I screeched, "What about the piggy back ride you promised Amara? Are you going to break your promise? What do I tell her?" I hugged him tighter as my tears flowed non stop, my friend was gone, he was dead and I couldn't do anything about it.

"Crying over your dead lover?" Helena's voice boomed as she descended towards the ground, "I was once in a state of grief once, when I lost my mate. You will get over Andros."
"Lost or murdered?" I growled in her direction letting Andros's body slip to the floor, "You killed my friend!" I gritted harshly grabbing my sword from the ground and almost immediately I ran towards her with all the furry I felt inwards and directed the weapon at her heart. She vanished making me miss my hit and my sword poking through thin air.
"Look at the bright side." Her voice sounded from above and I tried to find her but she had made herself invisible, "He is going to join his sister where ever she is."
"Come out and fight me Helena!" I thundered raising my sword, "If you aren't such a coward you w..." My words were stopped when the sharp edge of a sword cut through my back, she had attacked me from behind.
I whirled around instantly clashing my sword against hers while Hera and I healed, "Only cowards attack from behind!" I growled as our blades clashed and then we began to fight tooth and nail.
While Lycus and the warriors were battling with the bats she had unleashed, I released my full fury on Helena and she equally directed her pent up anger at me cutting me with her pure silver sword which she had fashioned out of thing air while I tried my best to best at her game.
"You are a weakling!" She growled pushing her sword against mine while at the same time trying to bring me to the ground with the force she exerted. My back was strained as I bent backwards, my cheeks puffed trying to release the pressure and my teeth gritting in anger, "Give up and die an easy death with that thing in your womb!"
"Don't talk about my unborn child like that!" I snapped at her, swung my leg in a kick, landing my foot in her crotch and brought her to the ground. She fell down, her sword motioned upwards to attack me but I gripped the blade dragging my palm along it in an attempt to snatch it from her, "Fuck!" I cursed as it tore through my palm creating a burning sensation with my blood dripping. I gripped her sword and flung it aside before gripping her hands so she couldn't use her powers to fashion any other weapon, "Give up Helena!" I gritted in her face holding her hands down with my weight over her, "You can't beat who you are scared off!" I barked in her face enjoying how much my statement angered her, of course she was scared of me that's why she felt so threatened by my powers that she planned to take me down before my existence.

"I am not!" She pulled her hands from mine and dealt me a blow to the face, I recoiled in pain at the force of her knuckles as she dealt me another blow pushing me off her. She moved on top of me to strangle me, her hands wrapped around my throat as she squeezed hard.
I moved my hands to her wrists trying to pull them off but she had more expertise and so I used my powers, I burnt her wrists the same way she had burnt my feet. Her screams of agony filled my ears as she let go off my neck but I didn't let go of her, I continued the burning while landing kicks to her abdomen before finally kicking her off me making her land on a sharp edged rock.
I stood to my feet and stalked up to her as she tried to free herself from the rock with screams ripping from her vocal cords, she was stuck. It was imbedded in her causing a major injury. By this time, Lycus and the warriors were done with the bats and they had begun to advanced towards me. I moved my fingers and used my telekinesis to bring my sword forth, "Nyx." She called as I raised the sword to stab it in her chest, to end her once and for all, "Nyx." She whispered this time still trying to dislodge herself from the boulder and I expected a plea which I shall reject but the opposite happened, "I did rather have maggots feast on me alive than let you defeat me!" She crossed her burnt wrists releasing a force so hard it sent us all off the ground and flying backwards.
I struggled to my feet only to see Helena off the ground and ascending upwards. Her wounds were clearly healed now and she had so much dark aura emanating from her but I wasn't intimidated, "Tell your warriors and my sorry son to back down!" She growled at me as I advanced towards her with fast steps, "Tell them or everyone is going to die!"
"We do not cower from cowards like you!" I screamed up at her. Her face morphed with lines of anger and frustration. She clenched her fists, let out a wild roar and her black tentacles came from her again extending to wrap among some of the warriors. She picked them and began to squeeze them but then I set them on fire making her yell out in pain as she dropped the warriors, "Every one stand back!" I commanded them, "I am facing her myself!" I talked to them while scanning the crowd for Lycus but he wasn't seen which got me somewhat worried.
"You asked for this!" Helena gritted widening her arms and it began to rain silver arrows and spikes on us. They were so lethal and deadly, they could kill instantly and I knew I had to save the pack warriors from her. As they tried advancing to fight, I halted their movements with my powers by building a ice barrier before them separating them from me and her. I tried shielding off Helena's attacks as I worked had on forming the wall. The arrows got stuck in the ice as she released them which made her mad with rage and at the point I wondered why the moon goddess gave so much powers to an unreasonable and evil bitch.
She tried to melt the ice barrier with her fire but I could fight her off determined not to let her kill any other person and all was going well till a guttural growl vibrated through the air and at the same time I felt an agonizing tug at my chest followed with a painful howl that sounded very much like that of my mate.
