《A Dance With Hades》Fifty Four.

Everything is going to according to plan back at the mansion so I'm only left with picking outfits for Vincenzo and I.
The ball is tomorrow night and getting a dress the day before does sound like stupid move on my end.
I was just too busy running around, trying to get everything done and perfected that I forgot about my dress entirely.
One would think that my dress was at the top of my priorities list, but it clearly wasn't. I only have a pair of shoes that I intend to wear tomorrow at the ball, but no dress.
I was initially planning to not make a big deal of my dress because I don't want to attract too much attention to myself, but Loredana and Aurora made it clear that it has to be the best one there.
I'm going to stand out like a sore thumb tomorrow night all because Loredana and Aurora want me to shine like a bright star.
Vincenzo said he will wear anything I pick out for him because he knows that it will be something beautiful, well at least that's what he thinks, I don't have that much trust in myself.
He's been too busy with his work to even come home while I'm still awake. He comes home in the late hours of the night then leaves before the sun even shows a hint of rising.
I haven't talked to him properly in the past three days. I only talked to him this morning when he was leaving for work – I caught him before he left by luck – and that was only for a minute or so.
Figuring out something to wear for the both of us might be hard and I just hope I find something before it's too late. The last thing I would want to do right now is make the Don of the Sicilian Mafia look dull.
I check my phone for any messages that have something to do with the ball and I smile a bit when I find none.
My phone has been blowing up with calls and messages from the people involved with the planning of this ball. I had to answer a lot of questions and fix a lot of problems, but I'm glad that everything is sorted.

I take a deep breath in and let myself smile as I finally can relax, but just for a bit. I must always be ready to receive a call or text regarding the ball at any given moment.
"You've been working so hard," Loredana says from besides me. She places her hand on my shoulder and I direct my smile at her. "You didn't even let us do much," she says which is true. I told them to relax and let me take care of the ball.
At first I thought I was setting myself up to fail, but after four days, everything seemed to be going well.
We are sitting at the back of the Range Rover with Aurora on my right side. They are taking me to an Italian tailor they believe might have the perfect dress for me.
"I'm just glad everything is done and there wasn't any mishaps," I say. I'm lying, there were so many mishaps, but I don't want to worry them.
I had to change a lot of things because of all of the mix ups and unavailability of certain things. Whoever paid for everything I got for the ball might have something against me now because I went a bit over the budget.
"Yes, you've done an excellent job," Aurora says while tapping my cheek. "Now all we have to do is find the perfect dress."
"And you don't have to worry about Vincenzo's suit, Aurora and I already sorted that out," Loredana says and I thank them.
After ten minutes or so we arrive at the store and we make our way inside with their bodyguards following closely behind us.
We are greeted by a small woman with dark brown hair. She has a long strip of measuring tape hung around her neck and has a few pins sticking out of a the cushions wrapped around her wrist. She doesn't look that old, maybe somewhere in her fourties.
"Aurora," the lady nods in her direction and Aurora returns the small gesture. Loredana and the lady have the same exchange before she turns her attention to me.
"She's more beautiful than I thought," the woman says while looking me over once more. "Vincenzo must hold onto you tightly," she says with a wink and I just smile at her.

"My name is Mona," she says and I only nod with a smile.
She tells us to follow her and we do so. There is rack after rack after rack with nothing but dresses hung up on each of them.
From giant, puffy ballroom gowns to body fitted mermaid dresses are hung up. Almost every colour on the dn colour chart is represented on each of these dresses.
Some of the shine and glimmer due to all of the pretty jewels embroidered into he material while some are more solid with little details.
Each dress looks beautiful, making it even harder for me to choose just one.
"All the dresses you see here are handcrafted and are one of a kind," Mona says while pointing to the multiple dresses in the store.
We walk to the back of the store where even more dresses look even better than the dresses I just saw.
"We don't want you wearing the same dress as someone else," she laughs while turning around. She looks at me for a short second before turning to the rack on the left.
She picks out a puffy pink dress from the rack and my nose scrunches up almost immediately. "You don't like pink," she says with a head nod while putting the dress back.
Her lips twist as she looks between the other dresses and I quietly watch while Loredana and Aurora speak of what might happen tomorrow.
Mona grabs a blue dress and pulls it from the rack, and I smile a bit. She hands it over to me, and the material feels very heavy in my hands.
I look down at the pretty dress in my arms and my brows furrow as I try to hide the fact that I don't want this dress.
"I don't really want to wear a puffy dress that's going to weigh me down," I say with an awkward smile as I lift my eyes.
"Ok then," Mona says while taking the dress from me. She puts it back on the rack with the rest of the other beautiful dresses. "I think I might have an idea of what will work for you," she says and I nod.
She moves to the other side of the store and unhooks a bunch of dresses from the racks and brings them over to us. "You are small, so these will have to fit," she says and I look down at the dresses.
They are all in different colours and are so different from each other. I don't know how I'm going to pick one for tomorrow night, but I have to, and soon.
"I've never seen you in red," Loredana says while pulling a dark maroon dress from the pile of dresses. "Well, maroon," she laughs while examine the dress.
"I don't wear it much." She hands the dress to me and Mona shows me to the dressing room. It takes a while before I actually get the dress on.
I pull the curtain back and step out of the dressing room. The three women gasp once I come into their view. I turn to the mirror and I myself gasp at the sight of myself in this gorgeous dress.
It hugs my body perfectly, showing off each curve and dip in my body. "But it's too revealing," I say when I fully process what I'm wearing.
The slit is extremely high to begin with. If I were to step to the side, my entire thigh will be exposed to everyone. The thin straps extend down to my collarbone, exposingost of my shoulders.
The top of the dress covers my chest completely but takes a turn as it forms a triangular shape around my mid section due to the sides being cut out.
My back and waist is fully exposed as the rest of the material of the dress only continues at my hips. I don't believe that Mona made something like this, but I surely love this dress.
"It's perfect," Aurora says.
The dress looks good on me but I don't know what Vincenzo is going to say about it. I don't want a repetition of the whole bikini incident.
"He is going to love it," Loredana says and I just nod.

Highest rank #1 in Historical He glared at me with irritation. "Come inside!" ...And I did. He pointed to the stack of books on the floor. "Pick them up and arrange them the way they're supposed to."With trembling hands, I did what he asked quickly. Fret in the way I moved, picking up the books into my arms and lap one by one only for them to fall back on the floor over and over. I was a mess, upset, and it was obvious. This wasn't the kind of first meeting I dreamed of.The second prince was mean, and he was irritable. He had no clue who I am which made me resent it even more.He scowled as he watched me made mistakes after mistakes and after a while, he grew frustrated and bent over, picking the books himself."Forgive me, I didn't mean to snarl at you the way I did. This man was so impolite to me that I couldn't wait to get away from him."I apologize, your highness. I didn't mean to distract you in your private office." I stepped back getting ready to leave when a sliver of sunlight struck highlighting my face. "Wait!" He murmured and I turned back to look at him."You're beautiful." He said breathlessly.I would have blushed, but he was so mean and rude to me that his compliment lost its impact long ago."I need to go," I told him."Wait." A wave of panic rose in the tide of his voice. The prince was afraid to lose me. "What's your name, girl?" He asked quickly. "Jasmine, my name is Jasmine, your highness.""My Jasmine?"
