Once Huang Dewei was finished with his job, his clothes were all dirty and he was smelling unpleasant. He feeds the horses their dinner when the organiser came back. He looked around the whole place and just nodded his head. He does not seem too satisfied with his job but he said nothing and walked off after telling Huang Dewei that he should go back as well.

Huang Dewei decided to take a bath before going back to the royal guard palace. He went into the washroom and started washing. He cleaned himself and wore back his guard clothes. He put away his smelly and dirty clothes into the wash and came out. It was getting all peaceful now. The stars had filled up the sky as Huang Dewei looked above. The horses were all silent and the palace was getting quiet too.

Huang Dewei came out and start walking. He was walking towards a royal guard palace when he glance up at the sky and stopped. The view of the sky was breathtaking. He looked around and saw a bench aside. He walked and sat down on it. His long hair was all wet and opened while the front of his robe was not tied in either. He did not tie his hair as he wanted to dry them. He wanted to feel some fresh air so he left his robe untied. He leaned back on the bench and stared at brightly shining stars.

He wonder what Xin Ying would be doing. He really wanted to meet and tell her about his presence but he wonders how? He really misses her. Huang Dewei thought as he smiles at the thought of her then sighed and closed his eyes. He let the night fresh breeze touches him and made him feel refreshed. He was lying with his eyes closed when due to a loud punching sound, Huang Dewei eyes flew open and he sat up in his place. He took in his surroundings and heard a voice of punching was echoing in the air loudly due to the calm and silent atmosphere of the night.

Worried and anxious, Huang Dewei got up from his place and followed the sound. He slowly walked as he reached the place where the voice was coming and he stopped. He looked at the person at the front and gasped. It was Wang Lei who was punching the wall with a lot of anger. Huang Dewei quickly hides behind the wall as he sneaks looked towards Wang Lei.

The sweat was forming all over his face, his hair was neatly done while he was strongly punching the wall. He does not seem in good mood and it was best for Huang Dewei to quietly walk away from here back to the royal guard palace. With one last glance, he wanted to walk away but his gaze fell on Wang Lei's hand which was heavily bleeding due to punching.

He was in dilemma but then for his survival, he still decided to go back royal guard palace without messing with Wang Lei. He turned over when he heard another punching sound. He stopped then closed his eyes annoyed and irritated with himself for feeling guilty to walk away like this. He turned back over and walk towards Wang Lei.

'Stop it, your Majesty.' Huang Dewei screamed as he stopped and Wang Lei snapped his head towards him with blood-red eyes filled with fury, anger and ....sadness. Wang Lei came out after his discussion with Xin Ying and he was missing his mother so much and hate for his father came back to him. He needed to vent his anger somewhere and that somewhere was his own self.

'Get away from here.' Wang Lei said coldly as he turned away because he did not want to be disturbed. Wang Lei was about to punch the wall again when Huang Dewei quickly ran towards him and spoke up

'You should not be doing this, your Majesty. You are hurting yourself.' On the voice of Huang Dewei, Wang Lei angrily looked towards him

'How dare you? Do you want to face my rage?' Wang Lei screamed as he glared towards Huang Dewei who felt scared for his life but he still spoke up

'I don't want you to get hurt, your Majesty.' Huang Dewei said as he hold his hand to inspect the wound while Wang Lei snatched his hand from his hold out and looked towards him with a murderous gaze

'How dare you touch me? Have you lost your mind?' Wang Lei said bitterly

'I was just checking your wound.' Huang Dewei replied and that irked Wang Lei even further because nobody cares for him and he hated someone's fake care for him. He furiously pulled Huang Dewei towards him as his hands landed on his waist and Huang Dewei freeze on their closeness. Due to the fact, Huang Dewei forget to close his robe, Wang Lei hand landed on his naked waist from both sides and with their skin to skin contact Huang Dewei went into shock.

'Stop messing with me. Who gave you the right to disturb me. If you don't want to die from my hands get lost from here.' Wang Lei angrily spitted words on his face as he glared towards Huang Dewei shocked and surprised face.

'I...I am your personal royal guard. Keeping you safe from all dangers is my duty. I am just doing my duty.' Huang Dewei slowly left the words out as Wang Lei tighten his grip around his waist. Huang Dewei hissed in pain as he bite his lips and Wang Lei's eyes widen. Something inside him flipped while seeing the sight in front of him. Something which he never felt before.

Unconsciously his hand went up and he harshly took out Huang Dewei's lips from his teeth. As Wang Lei's hand touches his lips, Huang Dewei felt his heart drop in his stomach. He felt butterflies in his stomach. What the hell is wrong with him? He should not be feeling like this. Huang Dewei thought when he heard Wang Lei.

'Don't ever bite your lips in front of me...ever again.' Wang Lei ruthless ordered and Huang Dewei quickly nodded his head. He doesn't know the reason could be probably he was not a fan of people reacting to their pain. Emperor can ask for anything and he will get it. All Huang Dewei have to keep in mind is not to bite his lips which were his very bad habit. He always bites his lips when he encounters bad, painful or disliked situations. It was his reaction and most of the time he don't even realise that he was doing it. He probably needs to change it if he does not want to die from Wang Lei's hands. Huang Dewei thought when slowly Wang Lei realised where his hands were and he could feel his soft skin under them. He quickly moved away from his hands and looked towards him.

'Why are you walking around like a vulgar man? What if some women saw you like this? Do you want to get another punishment?' Wang Lei asked coldly and Huang Dewei quickly looked at his open robe then hurriedly tied his robe as he spoke up.

'My apologies, your Majesty.' Huang Dewei said as he bow down in apology

'You can go now.' Wang Lei said and turned away as he waited for him to go but Huang Dewei stayed still in his place. Wang Lei turned back towards him.

'Did you not hear me?' Wang Lei questioned him in the same icy tone.

'I want to put a bandage on your hand before I go with your permission, your Majesty.' Huang Dewei said in a soft tone and Wang Lei was surprised.

'Is I am a child? Why would you do that?' Wang Lei asked

'Because it's my duty and I can't walk out leaving you behind in pain.' Huang Dewei replied and Wang Lei was even more surprised.

'Just go...I will do it myself.' Wang Lei ordered him and Huang Dewei was about to speak up when someone else spoke up

'Wang Lei, what happens to your hand.' They both looked towards the person with a worried's voice and it was Chen Ju.

'I am fine. It's nothing.' Wang Lei replied as she worried came and hold his hand.

'You are bleeding. Did you take your anger out again on yourself? How many times have I told you not to do something like this.' Chen Ju said as she inspected his hand and Wang Lei said nothing in response. She walked and both of them sat down at a side on the bench.

Huang Dewei looked towards her and he somehow hated her presence. She was allowed to touch him without him getting angry at her like he was angry at Huang Dewei for touching him just now and neither was Huang Dewei was liking her overly worried tone. Why she came late in night out here looking for Wang Lei. He knew what she wanted from him. Huang Dewei thought bitterly when Chen Ju looked towards him

'Why are you standing there like a statue. Go and get medicine for me.' Chen Ju said in a hateful and degrading manner as she was looking down on him. He did not like her tone but what he can do? He was still a slave. He just glared towards her and then nodded his head and walk off.

He came back with a medicine box and gave it away to Chen Ju. He folded his hand and stood at the side while Chen Ju start doing his bandage. Wang Lei looked towards Huang Dewei who looked towards him hurtfully and...angrily. He was looking towards him while Huang Dewei looked away.

'I will take my leave now, your Majesty.' Huang Dewei said and without even listening to what Wang Lei wanted to say he furiously walk away. Wang Lei was surprised on his behaviour as he saw him walking away. Was he angry at Wang Lei? Was he angry that he did not let him do his bandage and let Chen Ju do it? Wang Lei thought surprised and somehow he found that attitude cute. He found him cute and he could not help but smile.

'Who is he? I did not like his attitude?' He heard Chen Ju and he looked towards her as his smile vanished.

'He is my new personal royal guard.' Wang Lei replied

'He does not seem trustworthy.' Chen Ju said

'No, I trust him.' Wang Lei replied

'I don't like his attitude. You need to be careful.'

'Why? What's wrong with his attitude.' Wang Lei asked

'He seems possessive about you. Did you not see how he was glaring towards me?' Chen Ju said and Wang Lei surprised looked towards him.

'He was just performing his duties. You are thinking too much. I met him two days ago, why he would be possessive about me.' Wang Lei said as he dismissed her allegation. Wang Lei thinks he was just hurt that he wanted to do a bandage and he let Chen Ju do it. He was acting like a spoiled child to get Wang Lei's attention which was the first time to Wang Lei. It was not the first time, someone wanted Wang Lei's attention. Everybody wanted his attention and tries everything because they wanted something from him. But Huang Dewei wanting attention was different. He did not want to get something from Wang Lei but he wanted to give him something.

'Maybe you are right, Just be careful.' Chen Ju said and Wang Lei nodded his head as she finished doing his bandage.

'Were you with Xin Ying last night?' Chen Ju asked as she looked towards him.

'I prefer not to answer that question.' Wang Lei replied and Chen Ju sighed

'She used to love someone else, Wang Lei. She has no feeling for you. You know her father does not like you. All she and her father want is a child so they could use that child to gain whatever they want.' Chen Ju said as she looked towards Wang Lei who nodded his head

'I know everything. I am not an idiot.' Wang Lei replied as he sighed. Chen Ju pities Wang Lei who have no one at his side. She was the only one on his side but she wonders why he was not accepting her. She really like him and hoped one day...one day he will accept her and she will be able to replace Xin Ying from his life. She wanted to be the one to give Wang Lei, his heiress and the next Emperor to the nation of this country. For this, she needed to win Wang Lei's heart and she needed to do it as quick as possible before Xin Ying could do it.

Chen Ju was Wang Lei's loyal and great friend but even he knew she wanted just an heiress from him. Maybe she does have a selfish reason for being with Wang Lei, but he hopes she still does have some care towards him. He does not want to give anyone enough power yet to give birth to his heiress until he solves the mystery he was working on. That's why he was not accepting Chen Ju yet and also he would have if he felt something for her which he does not either.

'Go back to your chamber and have rest.' Wang Lei said as he stood up and walk off while Chen Ju stares at his back with hopefulness and prayed for him to accept her one day. Chen Ju knew she was Wang Lei's best friend and his concubine (mistress) who have a lower status than Xin Ying but if she would be able to give him son, the next Emperor then nobody can be stand in front of her and stop her. She would have everything she wanted and desired.
