《Moon Princess》75

As I floated aimlessly through the air, I couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of my situation. Here I was, a ghost, unable to remember the last thing I did before I died. All I could recall was that I had been reading a book just a week ago, but now I couldn't even remember the title.
I blame that damn Doppelganger of my evil self for this. She's been roaming around the house, causing chaos and confusion wherever she goes. I swear, if I ever get my hands on her, I'll give her a piece of my ectoplasmic mind.
But enough about her, I had to focus on my current task at hand - finding that darn book. I floated towards the library, which was on the third floor. As I made my way up the stairs, I couldn't help but cackle to myself at the ridiculousness of it all.
"Imagine, a ghost needing to go to the library to find a book," I chuckled to myself. "It's like the punchline to a bad joke." As I reached the library, I was greeted by rows and rows of shelves, filled with books of all shapes and sizes. I floated through the aisles, scanning the titles and trying to jog my memory.
"Now where did I leave off? Was it something by Shakespeare? Or perhaps a mystery novel?" I mused aloud. I floated over to the Shakespeare section, scanning the titles.
As I reached for a copy of "Hamlet," I suddenly remembered that it wasn't the book I was looking for.
"No, no, that's not it," I muttered to myself, moving on to the next aisle. As I floated through the corridors, I couldn't resist cracking a few jokes to lighten the mood.
"Hey, did you hear about the ghost who couldn't find his book? He was bookless! Ha ha, get it? Bookless? Oh man, I'm on fire today." Despite my attempts at humor, I was starting to get frustrated.
And after what felt like an eternity of searching, I spotted it. "Ah ha! There you are my little beauty!" I exclaimed, triumphantly pulling the book off the shelf.
I eagerly flipped through the pages, my excitement growing as I remembered all the fantastical adventures of the moon princess who was the daughter of werewolf's creator. It was just as good as I had remembered, and I couldn't wait to see how it all ended.
But as I sat there, lost in the pages once again, I couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt. I had let that pesky Doppelganger of mine distract me for far too long, and I vowed to never let it happen again. From now on, I was going to be the ultimate bookworm, devouring every page and relishing every word.

And with that, I settled in to finish at least a chapter of "The Moon Princess," cackling to myself as I floated through the pages of the fantastical tale.
Mother Selena, and other deities were sitting on the royal chairs as they waited for the god of fate, and lord of thunders to arrive, as Mother Selena and the other deities waited patiently, a sense of unease began to settle over the room. They knew that the god of fate and lord of thunders were not to be trifled with, and they had called for Ruby, the vampire spirit of Clara, to be getting whipped.
Despite her young age, Ruby was a force to be reckoned with. With her stubborn spirit and dangerous aura, she struck fear into the hearts of all the deities that had the misfortune of crossing her path. Even as a child, Ruby exuded a sense of power and authority that belied her years, and it was clear to all that she was not to be underestimated.
But despite her fearsome reputation, Ruby was also a deeply complex and enigmatic spirit. She was stubborn and independent, always preferring to be in her own mind rather than taking control of Clara' body. However, when she did take control, she transforms into a devilish force that dare not to approach.
Her icy demeanor and sharp tongue made her unpopular among the deities, and many of them tried to avoid her at all costs. But despite their fear, they couldn't help but be drawn to her, mesmerized by the dark energy that seemed to surround her.
As the goddess of fate and God of thunder entered the room, their intimidating aura filled the air. The deities were momentarily pulled out of their thoughts of Ruby as they turned to face the powerful deities. The god of fate and lord of thunders took their seats on the royal chairs, their eyes sweeping over the room as they assessed the situation. They knew that if she did not submit to this punishment, both her mortal and celestial bodies would be in grave danger.
Moon Goddess, the mother of Clara, watched with a heavy heart as the God of Thunder prepared to strike Ruby with his powerful thunders.
With a steely resolve, Ruby stepped forward and knelt before the powerful deities, as Ruby knelt on the ground, the air around her seemed to grow heavy and oppressive, as if it were trying to shield her from the harsh punishment she was enduring. The wind picked up, whipping around her small frame and tangling her hair and dress as if trying to protect her from the thunders that rained down upon her.

As the first lash struck Ruby's small frame, the sky grew dark and the clouds began to swirl and churn, as if reflecting the turmoil in her soul. Lightning crackled and danced across the sky, illuminating the scene in a harsh, flickering light. The ground shook, the earth trembling beneath Ruby's feet as if trying to comfort her in her time of need.
Through it all, Ruby remained resolute, her bright red eyes gleaming with determination as she held her head high and maintained eye contact with the deities. She clenched her fists tightly, her knuckles turning white as she tried to hold on gritting her teeth in an effort to hold back the cries of pain that surely threatened to escape her lips.
Even the other deities seemed to sense the tension in the air, their own emotions swirling as they watched the young vampire spirit being whipped. Some looked on with smug satisfaction, relishing the sight of Ruby's suffering. Others looked on with guilt and shame, knowing that they were party to this cruel punishment.
The second lash was no less harsh, causing Ruby's body to convulse and her eyes to squeeze shut in agony. But even as tears streamed down her face, she refused to give in, holding on with a fierce determination and a will of iron. The third lash, and the fiftieth, were no different, each one causing Ruby's small body to shudder and her face to contort with pain. But even as the thunders fell upon her, she remained stoic, her bright red eyes gleaming with a fierce determination and a refusal to be cowed.
As the punishment continued, Ruby's appearance began to change. Her white dress, once pristine and spotless, was now tattered and stained with blood, her skin was marked with bruises and cuts, the evidence of the brutal punishment she had endured.
As the thunders fell upon her, Ruby's once jet-black hair began to transform. Struck by her own blood and drenched with sweat, the once shiny locks took on a reddish hue, the color deepening and intensifying with each passing moment. The deities watched in surprise as Ruby's hair underwent this sudden transformation, the once-black tresses turning a deep and fiery red. Her hair seemed to come alive, flailing and tangling in the air as if reflecting the turmoil in her soul.
And even as the thunders continued to fall upon her, Ruby's hair remained bright and fierce, a testament to her unbreakable spirit and her refusal to be cowed by the powerful deities before her. It dangled in the air, a perfect fierce red halo around her small and battered frame, as if daring the gods to try and break her spirit.
The deities were awed by this sudden transformation, unable to tear their eyes away from the sight of Ruby's perfect, fierce red hair. They had never seen anything like it before, and they knew that they were witnessing something truly special and unique.
As the 999th lash fell upon Ruby, she collapsed to the ground, her small body writhing in pain and her spirit feeling drained and exhausted. Blood oozed from every part of her body, her dress and hair soaked with the red liquid.
But even as she lay there, panting and struggling to hold on, Ruby refused to give up. When she heard the rumbling of another thunder, signaling the final lash of her punishment, she took a deep breath and somehow managed to regain her composure. With a trembling body and a fierce determination, she once again kneeled before the deities, ready to face the final blow.
The final lash fell upon her with a force that seemed to shake the very foundations of the celestial realm. Ruby's body convulsed and then went still, her unconscious form crumpling to the ground.
For a moment, there was a stunned silence as the deities and all those present watched in shock as the young vampire spirit lay there, her small body battered and bruised. And then, as one, all eyes turned towards the Moon Goddess. They watched as the Moon Goddess stood there, frozen in place and seemingly struck with emotion. They knew that they had played a role in Ruby's punishment, and they couldn't help but fear that the Moon Goddess would hold them accountable.
Despite their own powers and abilities, the deities could not help but feel small and insignificant in the face of the Moon Goddess's wrath. They knew that if she were to unleash her anger upon them, there would be no escaping the consequences. So, with trembling limbs and a deep sense of trepidation, the deities turned towards the Moon Goddess, waiting with bated breath to see how she would react. They could only hope that they would be able to make amends and somehow earn her forgiveness.

Now finding himself lost in a realm rich in previously-limited Transcendental Essences, however, does he truly even want to return back to his old world? If nothing else, plagiarising - ahem, learning new spell structures by observing the local mages should prove entertaining. Sure, there were new dangers in this foreign world, but they wouldn't be anything a fancy bit of spellwork couldn't solve. Though, he would appreciate it greatly if someone could explain to him just what this 'cultivation' business was, why the local Mages were all muscle-brained freaks obsessed with immortality, and why they all seemed to lack any appreciation for the finer details of Essence manipulation. That would be nice.
