《love.》CHAPTER SIX.

⸻. She believed it was normal to dream of her friends, to have your friends appear in the world you dozed to while you slept, but her dream was far from what she would consider normal.
It had started off simple and sweet, the two of them sleeping over [Name]'s home like every young, teenage pair of girls have done before. It wasn't anything out of the ordinary at first, that was until their lips had connected and [Name] had climbed onto Yachi while on their bed.
It wasn't anything intense or crazy, it was a deep kiss that she had always seen in the movies... between men and women.
Her tongue slid against hers, hands on Yachi's small hips, thumbs caressing the exposed skin from her shirt that slowly rid up. Yachi's hands found her place behind [Name]'s neck, pulling her closer and closer, not wanting a single centimeter of space between the two.
[Name]'s leg slid between Yachi's, her nails dug into her skin, and then-
And then, it ended.
When she had woken up, her heart was violently beating out of shame. How could her subconscious betray her like that? Why would it? She had never been interested in women, she isn't interested in women, so why was it that her first ever erotic dream was about the same sex?
It wasn't fair, it wasn't normal! The feeling of disgust pitted in her stomach as she stood up from her bed to begin her day, making her way to the unoccupied bathroom. She looked into her mirror, [eye color] eyes staring back at her and she grimaced.
This isn't normal.
Or maybe it was? She had heard boys in class talk about having dreams about their male friends, some finding it amusing to discuss and an attempt to get closer. Was this [Name]'s subconscious way of taking a platonic liking to Yachi? It had made sense... kind of.

All she could do was sigh, grabbing ahold of her toothbrush and beginning her morning routine before another day of school ahead of her.
Was it wrong to avoid Yachi due to her dream? Maybe, but [Name] wasn't sure she could handle seeing her after such a lewd scenario had been displayed to her. It was unfair to her blonde friend, yes, but it was worst to create an awkward atmosphere.
Her phone had pinged the minute she walked into her classrooms, shoes squeaking from their wetness in the rain as she moved to her seat in the front of the class. She pulled it out, eyes slightly widened at the display.
Hey did you come to school today?
I didn't see you this morning T-T
What was the best possible excuse she could give? Maybe she was late and in a rush or she had just felt like walking alone this morning? Was having a rough time?
God, she hated this. [Name] was never the avoidant type, usually preferring to talk about the problem like when her project partners wouldn't do their share or a classmate had upset her. She didn't find it exactly difficult, she just felt as though it was childish.
But this, this was different. This was a borderline sex dream for crying out loud! With a girl of all things! And not just any girl, her newly formed friend. What would Yachi think of [Name] if she had found out? Would she think she was disgusting? A pervert? Would Yachi assume [Name]'s sexuality and cut ties due to it?
She laid her head down on her desk, hands combing through her [hair color] hair stressfully until her phone had pinged again.
Whatever the case is, I hope you're okay! <3
