Cool winds brush up against thy brow

and it reminds me of a necessary fact.

That I’m still here, present in the now

a notice that we still have time to act.

When we are pained, and feel very sore

the discomfort is our daily wake up call.

We should wake up always wanting more

as the time to score is now, we can’t stall.

There are good reasons why people endure

and take the hardships life tosses our way.

In darkest days, when life loses its allure

we’re always a hug away from a good day.

Family is what makes our lives worth it all

as for the kids no wall will ever be too tall.
