《Nostalgic Gamer in a Cultivation World》Chapter 213: Dreams

Dyne was standing on a vast battlefield. Sephiroth, Prince Cort’s Juggernaut form, and Front Mission 3’s Lukav with his gigantic wanzer couldn’t handle the sheer awesomeness of Dyne. They were bound to lose.
Cort’s final beam and Sephiroth’s angel form were easily wasted as Dyne revealed the real power of his cultivation grew to the extremes.
But then, Diablo, Lynx, Bulnoil, and Evil Fou-Lu appeared and created powerful ice magic. They had utilized and harnessed the power of Articuno to create a concentrated storm blast of ice-cold wind.
“Jedo!” Dyne cursed as the attacks would hit his allies.
Amorien, Ishreth, Arya, the head-turning the class belle of the class of 2008, which was a year younger than him, was in the path of the attack. Emera was also there in her human form. She was the only one among them who was standing to fight. Rena was standing at the back, focused on healing everyone. There was also a young, innocent woman who looked strangely like Alexandra Daddario before she got all Hollywood, who was also in the path of the attack. But this Alexandra Daddario had a different past as the alterations of time-space and fate changed it. This Alexandra Daddario did not become a star but was actually despised by many, and she lived a depressing life. But not too depressing to get her into drugs and participate in wanton relationships. Just the normal depression. And because of this, she was untainted from the very wild world that stardom often brought.
Why was the modified past of Alexandra Daddario relevant despite the coming ice attack? Only Dyne knew.
But the incoming Ice blast was secondary in importance because of the future beauty and how this alternate-world actress would helplessly fall in love with Dyne’s awkward but charming personality.
As Dyne’s thoughts turned towards the attack, he threw himself to the front and created a portal that teleported everyone into a far, far world where his relentless foes would take weeks, months, or even years to find him.
He would have won, but the beautiful college acquaintance who hated Dyne and made Dyne’s life rather hard confessed that she liked Dyne but could not stand to see him with other girls. And so, she managed to summon the enemies through Time Compression, which was the plot of Final Fantasy VIII.
But Dyne’s quick thinking managed to teleport him and his girls out. But before that, Dyne looked at the beautiful girl who hated him but really loved him, and Dyne smiled.

“I forgive you,” Dyne called out, causing this girl to burst into tears and hate her act of jealousy.
Dyne teleported out.
But then, the Ten Wise Men appeared out of nowhere.
“Die!” The Ten men harnessed their symbology, and the power allowed the ice to chase after Dyne.
BOOM!
Dyne managed to teleport, but they were brought into a strange world.
They were on the ice-cold planet of Neptune! Because Uranus sounded disgusting to Dyne.
But the sheer cold was too much that even though Dyne had saved everyone's life and given them immortality through something, something cultivation, the great cold was too much.
The group began to suffer the great cold.
There was no choice.
“Everyone. We need to use our cultivation, generate heat, and use each other's body heat to resist the cold!” Dyne shouted.
All the girls knew that while they still had not yet reached that stage of their relationship with Dyne, there was no choice. So everyone slowly approached Dyne and shyly removed their wet, cold clothes and harnessed their cultivation to begin the process of hugs.
“Can I interrupt now?” Strafe finally intervened as the scenes turned more and more bizarre.
“What the fragment is this?” The real Jedo cursed as he was so appalled by Dyne’s dream.
“What are you two doing here?!” Dyne cursed as the strange dream vanished.
“We were checking on you since you fell unconscious. But apparently, you look fine. And why are your schoolmate Blossom, that college girl Rosy, and Alexandra Daddario here in your dreams?”
“This is an invasion of privacy!”
“You’re supposed to be a cold-blooded legend in your world. And this is what you dream?”
“Hey! It’s not my fault! I turned back into a kid! My knowledge is speeding my growing up, so I’m in puberty!” Dyne defended.
“...That sounds logical, but still. You’re a soul cultivator and the hope of this world!” Strafe frowned.
“What are you two here for, anyway?”
“Lord Strafe asked me to bring him here.” Jedo answered.
“I want to show you something. The sight of seeing you create the Digi-Egg and those Serus inspired me to try something. But before that, I will show you a certain memory.” Strafe answered.
“A memory?”
Strafe’s spirit figure hovered over Jedo’s and rested his hand on him.
“Jedo. Show Dyne this vision.”
The world around began to change, and Strafe was shown. He was but a youth. A beautiful woman of incomparable beauty was descending from the bright yellow sky.

“That is my Master. The Weaver.” Strafe introduced.
The Weaver sat down on top of a breathtaking mountain observing the magnificent land.
“This place…” Dyne recognized the city shown far from the mountain.
“This was the world inside the Imaginarium Bond. The original world, Alos Vasilous.” Strafe answered.
“Teacher.” The young Strafe bowed down.
The wind blew, and a beautiful teenager with green hair appeared.
“Who is that?” Dyne asked.
“My fellow disciple. She would become one of the most powerful cultivators in Eternity. Minerva of the Wind.”
The stones of the mountain began to move, and a small figure appeared next to Strafe.
The form soon took shape, and a muscular girl that had chains on her arms appeared. Despite her robust form, she was very beautiful.
“This one was a wild berserker that was caught and became one of the disciples of the Weaver. She was a mountain that came to life. She would become another terrifying cultivator who had the strength to wield planets. She would be known as Gaiadeen of the Earth.”
“Master… You called us?” Minerva answered.
The Weaver nodded and raised her hands. A portal appeared, and chains suddenly came out of the portal and flew to the Weaver’s hand. She began to pull the large chain, and a huge slime monster was being pulled out. It was bound in the chains, which were glowing with bright power.
“Calamitus…!” Dyne exclaimed.
“Right.” Strafe answered.
“What’s that?” Minerva wondered.
“This is the Slime Monster that has become so dangerous that several Saint Experts were deployed. But they all were defeated at the hands of this monster.”
“Are… we going to kill it?” Strafe asked.
“Are you stupid, Strafe? Ugh. You and your light alignment.” Minerva laughed.
“INDEED.” Gaiadeen’s voice boomed.
“Then what?” Strafe frowned and turned to the two.
“ALLY.”
“Ally?”
“Gaiadeen is right. I am pleased to welcome the last disciple that I will take in my life. Children, this monster has been called the Calamity Slime on those planets. So, I shall call him, Calamitus. Calamitus, say hi to your seniors.” The Weaver chuckled.
“I will kill all of you. When these chains are gone, I will kill all of you.” The Slime wiggled and answered with a laugh.
“...You’ve got to be kidding me, master. A Slime? Minerva was already a handful, but a Slime that wants to kill me?”
“Hey…” Minerva frowned.
“Oh yes. Minerva asked you to be her fling or something, if I remember correctly. How does it feel? I mean, Minerva is now one of the most sought women in all of Eternity. You should have accepted that, right, Strafe?”
Strafe was blushing red.
“The offer still stands, Strafe.” Minerva giggled.
“JOIN.” Gaiadeen eyed Minerva.
“Sorry, Earthy, I still don’t roll that way.”
“WIND WILL CHANGE. GAIADEEN WILL WAIT.”
The Weaver chuckled as she saw the reactions of her disciples.
“In… any case… Master. This Slime is not suited to be an Element.”
“He is. Strafe, I don’t want you to follow in the footsteps of your kind. My master once told me, do not be over righteous, why burn yourself out?”
“This Slime literally said that he wanted to kill me. I am not being over righteous, master.”
“You haven’t changed a bit, have you?” Dyne couldn’t help but chuckle, seeing the young Strafe’s reaction.
“Indeed. But that’s why I’m showing you this vision.” Strafe smiled.
The Weaver chuckled at Strafe’s answer.
“And so, your inclination is that since this creature is of the dark, you should kill it before it kills others, especially those with who you live, correct?”
“Yes… Because Slime literally said he would kill us all. And you did say it nearly destroyed several planets. That act would have brought an imbalance to Eternity!”
“It’s alright now, Strafe. I caught it! So relax! But the reason I called you all is that I plan to instill in you the essence of its powers.” The Weaver revealed.
“What? Master! The darkness that this Slime has, it’s comparable to the Everos’s darkness!” Strafe was shocked.
“It’s only weaker because… This Slime is closer to my affinity… It’s Time/Space?!” Minerva was shocked.
“Very observant, Minerva. That is because this is not any slime monster. This is rare, Dark-Slime. But this one didn’t focus on cultivating darkness for some odd reason. And the reason for its darkness and its wickedness is because of its profound greed. And I plan to harness that greed and give it to you!” The Weaver smiled.

My father scolds me sharply. I flinch at the anger in his voice and quickly retract my hand, inches from the trunk of the tree. "Sorry father, I couldn't help it. I wrap my small arms around his neck and bury my face into his shoulder. He hugs me tightly and carries me away from the forest. "Why can't we go into the forest?"
