《To Be Loved By A Mikaelson | Hayley Marshal》MR. FAMILY

Gabriel walks into the compound and hears Klaus' last words before he walks out of the room.
"Don't worry Elijah, no child of mine will be born in a swamp." His brothers devilish smirk is prominent. "Ah hello Gabriel. Will you do us all a favor and tell Elijah that Hayley is perfectly fine with her new family of country folk?"
"I wouldn't know." Gabriel rolls his eyes at his brothers antics.
Stopping in his spot both Elijah and Klaus send the man confused looks. "What do you mean you wouldn't know?"
"I haven't spoken to her ever since Celeste broke the curse from the crescent pack." He admits, faking nonchalance.
"Trouble in paradise?" Klaus teases his brother.
"Might i remind you I put myself into a magical coma for months, returned to save her from a fire, and before that slept with a woman whom Hayley despises." Gabriel says with mock cheer.
"Might I suggest you simply just talk to her." Elijah comments with a cocked brow.
"No you may not suggest." Gabriel points at him before walking up the stairs.
"What're you doing anyways?" Klaus questions confused.
Usually his brother spent his days now practicing magic and talking to their sister.
"I'm here to visit Davina, I haven't seen her since before I left for Mystic Falls. I do hope for both of your sakes you've been treating her well." He warns before walking up the stairs to the teenagers room.
He knocks on the door and only walks in when he hears a quiet 'Come in.'
"Hello my little Claire." Gabriel smiles when he sees the girl engrossed in a painting.
Davinas head snaps towards the voice and she jumps up excitedly, running into his arms for a hug. "Gabriel! I heard you were back but I didn't want to bother you."
"You could never bother me Davina." He says sincerely. "How have you been liking it here?"

Davina's smile widens. "I like it. I mean I haven't seen Marcel in a while and I feel bad but your brothers have been surprisingly nice. Klaus has been teaching me how to paint and Elijah leaves different grimoires at my door every few days."
Gabriel's smile widens as he hears the girl excitingly talk about her stay. He was extremely glad that she liked it here and glad that his brothers took his warning seriously.
"I am sorry that you were put in the middle and couldn't see Marcel." He says with a sad smile.
"It's okay I understand. I mean I feel bad that Klaus kept Rebekah and Marcel from loving each other but they called your father. That's one of the worst things anyone could do to your family." Davina nods. "I also never got to say thank you. If it wasn't for you I would be dead among the ancestors. I know you kept me alive, I felt the power from the other harvest girls leave me and next thing I know I'm waking back up. I can't say the same thing for the other girls though." She sadly says.
"They'll be back in no time I'm sure, The witches that took the other harvest girls power cannot stay in the land of the living for too long." Gabriel assures her. "And no need to thank me, I would do anything in my power to protect you, always and forever."
"Always and forever?" Davina's eyes become red rimmed. She knew how much that saying meant to the Mikaelsons. They've been saying it to each other for over a thousand years. Gabriel had been like a father to her, even if he was in a coma he was still looking over her, protecting her. Davina had always seen Marcel as more of a big brother, he loved her but he also took advantage of her and her power.

Gabriel brings the teary eyed girl into a hug and softly chuckles. "Of course. You're family now Davina Claire. Anyone who says otherwise will have to deal with me."
"What if Klaus gets angry?" She looks up at him and he almost awes, she looked so young in this moment, so vulnerable.
"Then I'll beat him up." Gabriel shrugs making the girl laugh. "But in all seriousness I don't think he'll be upset, if he's teaching you how to paint he's taken a far bigger liking to you than he'll ever admit."
"What about Elijah?" She questions.
"Elijah will have no problems. He would've tried to make you leave if he did." Gabriel smiles at her.
"Can I ask you a question?" Davina suddenly becomes shy again.
"Yes of course." Gabriel agrees.
"Why did you do it?" She questions, noticing the confused look he was giving her she elaborates. "Put yourself into a coma... try to kill you self... I also know that in order to protect me you gave me some of your magic." Her voice cracks.
Gabriel looks at the floor in contemplation before looking the girl straight in the eyes. "After a thousand years all of my self hate, guilt, and sadness has built up. My only moments of peace are when I'm helping those I love or when I'm with someone I love. When I went to Mystic Falls I made one of the biggest mistakes of my life and hurt someone very close to my heart. I didn't want to forgive myself and I didn't think she would either. I didn't want to live in a world where she wasn't in my life." He admits.
"Is it... Hayley?" Davina mumbles.
Gabriel nods his head with a somber look. "It is."
"And the magic you gave me?" Davina questions.
"It was the only way to keep you out of the ancestors reach. A protection spell might have saved your life but they could've kept you in the ancestral plane if you didn't have my magic. My magic isn't bound to anything but myself. They have no power over my magic." He explains to the best of his ability. "I wasn't sure if it would work." He admits, feeling slightly guilty.
"It's okay. I'm here and they couldn't get to me, thankfully." She says.
"Off of the sad topics, I think you need to do a little shopping." Gabriel smiles as he looks around the bland room and Un filled closet.
"I couldn't take your money." Davina immediately shakes her head as to decline the offer.
"After a thousand years of saving money I can promise you that you could buy the whole state of Louisiana and probably not dent our families account." He chuckles at the thought of it.
"Wait it's your account! Now I definitely can't! It's Elijah and Klaus' money too!" She argues.
"It really is fine Davina." Elijah appears in the doorway. "I do apologize for not suggesting it sooner."
"Well Klaus-" Davina sputters until Klaus yells from his own art room.
"Just use it Love!" His annoyed voice is heard. Though Elijah and Gabriel both know it's just because the girl was being stubborn.
"Are you sure..." Davina says quite unsure.
"Yes we're all sure. Why don't you invite your friend Joshua is it?" Gabriel questions and Davina nods. "It's not exactly safe in the quarter but if Josh is with you it'll be fine, I'll be roaming the quarter on errands anyways." He waves off.
Davina's unsure facial expression slowly turns into one of excitement and she squeals.
Gabriel let's out an 'oomph' as Davina shoves herself into his arms once again. "Thank you."

Apocalypse at Mighty Max
God sold us out and the world ended... well, sort of. God may have sold us, or at least, our universe but our world didn't end. Instead, the new owners decided to play, and we all know what that means: Monsters, a System, Magic, Cultivation, and, of course, two new moons! Thanks for reading! I appreciate the interest. This is a rough draft and is intended to flesh out some ideas for a novel that I had. Maybe figure out if I want to do this author thing, you know? If you want immediately OP MCs, fights every chapter, a harem, this is not the story for you. Sorry about that. If you're willing to put up with a long growth curve, an MC that doesn't know what he's doing most of the time but is trying his best both to survive and to help his friends survive, you might enjoy the story. I'm just trying to have fun, maybe create something that in a second draft I can sell on the eBook market. If you're not into that, not into providing helpful comments for revisions, hey, that's cool, but do us both a favor and stop reading now. ** Oh, release schedule For the first weeks, I'll be releasing a chapter (1800-3000 words) a day. Following that, I'll be releasing whenever the mood strikes me. If I get some feedback, the mood might strike me more often, hint! hint!

Free Your Mind
A journey through the mind can be a mixture of the good, the bad, the pure, and the evil. Free Your Mind is a collection of poems and short stories that I've written over the years. As of now, this book is still in progress, but I've planned to release at least 25 to 30 chapters minimum for Free Your Mind. Hopefully you enjoy reading through the works already published for this book, and I hope you'll stick around for what's to come in the future. If you have any comments, ideas, critiques, etc. please let me know! I'm always open to what people have to say about my work. Free Your Mind is a way for me to dabble into releasing my writings for the public to read. And hopefully, if all goes decent with this book, I'll continue to upload different works alongside this. Note: Currently the cover work for Free Your Mind isn't mine. I plan to upload an original design once I've completed the chapters for this book.
