《To Be Loved By A Mikaelson | Hayley Marshal》MS. JEALOUSY

Gabriel strides into the compound along with his brother, the first thing he sees is the large group of wolves all in the courtyard. He scrunches his nose in distaste.
"Brother! Niklaus!" Elijah yells into the open.
Hayley marches into the room and Gabriel eyes her up and down with out anyone seeing. "You do realize that literally everyone in here has supernatural hearing, right?"
"Where is my brother?" He bluntly questions.
Hayley taps her chin in thought. "I'll check his calendar... Wait, no. Not his wife, so..."
Gabriels lip slightly lifts in amusement, apparently his brother did not share his sentiments. "Hayley, this city is under siege by an army of beasts following my deranged mother's every command. Now, considering it was your people who just declared war on my kind, now's not the best time for your particular brand of sass."
She looks at him completely unamused. "Klaus left a while ago. If you want to find him, I can't help you. If only there was a magical device that people used to call people? I don't know, I'm out of ideas. Good luck." She turns around to walk away but stops last moment. Gabriel couldn't help but check out her backside. No matter what happened he was still a male. If he were being quite honest, being around so many females lately had made him think about initiating something with a few of them but his mind always trailed back to the brunette wolf. "Oh! One more thing, Elijah, those "beasts" that you're referring to? They may be under Esther's control, but, like you said, they're my people. So, if you hurt them, your bitch mother will be the least of your problems."
Elijah turns to his brother as the she wolf storms away with a grumpy looking expression on his face.
"I deal with it all the time." He simply shrugs.
—
Elijah and Gabriel enter Marcel's loft. He had filled his brother in on all of Marcel's recruitments, leaving his out of it. They listen in the shadows to the vampires current predicament.
"We don't wanna run." Gia shakes her head and crosses her arms.
"I know, and I respect that. But, believe me, there's a big difference between wanting to fight and knowing how to win." Marcel tries to calm them down.
Gia throws her hands up in frustration. "So, show us! You've kicked their ass before, I'm guessing you didn't do it alone."
Elijah raises a brow at Gabriel, referencing to the girls attitude and Gabriel smirks.
Josh raises his hand in the air to gain their attention. "Umm, yeah, not that I don't dig the whole Karate Kid vibe that we got going on here, but how are we supposed to learn to defend ourselves from an army of super wolves in, like, one day?"
Marcel is rendered speechless. Noticing this Gabriel speeds through the room and snaps the necks of two males. Marcel rolls his eyes when he realized it was Gabriel showing off and Elijah stops right behind him.

"Lesson one ... always be on your guard." Gabriel holds one finger in the air, smirking at gia who smiles back.
—
Elijah is off talking to Marcel outside with the rest of the recruits as Gabriel helps to teach Gia how to fight like a vampire.
She goes to punch his chest but he blocks it. "As a feminist and someone who supported women's rights from the start, I refuse to say you punch like a girl."
He lets go and she pants in frustration. "Just relax, try again:"
"Tell me again why I don't get to be outside with everybody else. You know, with the nice teacher?" She jokingly glares.
Gabriel rolls up his sleeves and he smirks when he sees Gia's eyes trail up. "You are my responsibility."
She pauses. "Says the feminist."
Gabriel barks out a laugh. "Fighting is rhythm. There is a music, there is a meter, there is a pattern. Let that rhythm beat within you." He gets into a defensive stance. "Again."
Gia puts up her fists and starts to fight him, but he easily blocks her blows.
"Legato. Ostinato.Crescendo. And then, once you've established your cadence -" gia spins out of his grip and kicks him, using her arms to press him against the wall while he was distracted. He stares into her eyes very briefly. "You change the key. Very nice."
He grabs her arm and presses her hand right above his heart. "Now, the head, or the heart?" When he notices her hesitation he speaks again. "None of this matters if you cannot make the kill."
She sighs in disappointment of herself. "What if I can't do it?"
She lets go of him and goes to back up but he yanks her forward. They're both panting, the situation becoming very intimate. Placing her hand back on his chest he leans in. "You will. To survive. Now...the head, or the heart."
He sees the terrified look on her face and strokes her hand he was holding on her chest. Gia looks up to his face and he gives her a reassuring nod, thought he was slightly dazed from the tension in the room.
She shoves her hand into into his chest and he winces in pain but smiles at her. They both stand there panting with large smiles on their face.
Hayley enters the apartment and she looks terrified at the scene infront of her but her expression becomes one of jealousy and hurt when she realizes he wasn't being attacked.
"Gabriel?" She whispers.
Gabriel and gia both look slightly embarrassed. Gia takes her hand out of his chest and watches worriedly until it heals.
"I'm okay." He assures her, not missing Hayley eyeing them from a few feet away.
"We need to talk." She states. Aiden chooses then to walk into the loft.
Gabriel realizes that gia looks like she's about to attack the man and holds her back by her wrist.

"We're not here for a fight. Just hear him out." Hayley pleads.
Gabriel looks towards the man with an annoyed expression. "Speak. I suggest you be quick."
Aiden sighs. "Please. I need your help."
—
Elijah, Marcel, josh, and Oliver have joined them as the wolves explain their problem.
"The witch wants soldiers. So now, it's either join up, or pay the price." Aiden gravely says.
"I've known my brother Finn to be merciless, but I'll admit, this exceeds even my expectations." Elijah exchanges a worried glance with Gabriel. How far was their brother willing to go.
"They're just kids. Marcel, you know the Quarter like the back of your hand. If anyone can get them out of here, it's you." Hayley tried to persuade the man.
Marcel raises a brow. "Oh? And take 'em where?"
Oliver steps up. "There's still wolves deep in the Bayou. Ones that didn't take a ring. They can look after them."
"The ones that never sold out, you mean." Marcel looks at him pointedly.
Oliver rolls his eyes. "You wanna look at it like that, that's fine. We did what we had to do."
Marcel sighs. "Your wolves have been fighting us for decades. Why trust us now?"
Gabriel notices Aiden hesitate. "One of the recruits is my little brother. There's no way I'm sending him to war."
Marcel looks towards Gabriel, nodding his head. "Tell is what you need."
—
"Alright, the kids are being held in the City of the Dead until we bring them through the Quarter to St. Anne's Church. Now, meanwhile, Vincent is holding a meeting with a few humans in the know. The ones who have been...reluctant to fall in line with his new leadership." Aiden explains.
Gabriel's eyes widen in realization. "He's going to use the children to kill any opposition."
Aiden nods. "Activate their curse, send a message to anyone who's thinking about going against him. It's two birds, one... bloodbath."
"Okay, so, we'll hit them while the kids are on the move." Marcel's says.
Gabriel looks towards the wolf. "Aiden, make certain you and Oliver escort the children. We'll handle the rest."
Oliver looks at them with wide eyes. "Wait, wait, wait, wait. Esther and her psycho son are already giving me the stink eye. If these kids go missing on my watch, I'm as good as dead."
"You wanted to help your people and make amends for the past. This is your chance." Elijah simply states.
—
Oliver has just arrived in the parking garage where Elijah and Gabriel are waiting for him. "Where are they?"
"They should be right behind me. Any minute now." Oliver nervously responds.
"Here we go. About time." Oliver complains.
Gabriel sighs when they're surrounded by a large group of werewolves.
"Don't bother trying to run. We've got you surrounded." A wolf smirks.
Oliver laughs. "What, you don't think that we would be dumb enough to bring 'em here, do you?"
Elijah shrugs. "Yes, I so do apologize for any inconvenience. The little ones you seek are elsewhere. Which, I suppose, leaves you here with us."
"You're the ones that don't seem to understand! We're not looking for the kids. The witch wants you." He points at Gabriel.
Elijah takes off his jacket. "Listen to me very carefully I told a good friend that I'd do my very best to spare the lives of her people. You leave right now? I will honor that. Stay, and the situation becomes irrefutably awkward."
Gabriels mind wonders. What did Esther want with Him? It was always klaus or elijah before this.
He turns to Oliver. "You should probably leave."
Oliver sighs. "Either I'm in, or I'm out, right?"
All three men prepare to fight the crowd.
—
The thee have just finished taking out all of the werewolves. They're soaked in blood.
"Well, I guess this is all they got." Oliver looks around while panting in exhaustion.
Both Mikaelsons looks around. Both Elijah and Gabriel start screaming out in pain as all of their muscles seize up.
Oliver looks frightened when he sees Finn arrived and was the cause of their pain. He flicks his wrist and Elijah's neck is snapped.
"Actually, I am just getting started." He balls his hand into a fist and Gabriel falls to his knees in agony. "It took mother a while to realize that you weren't using your magic. After all your magic could rival mothers, why wouldn't you use it?"
When Oliver lunches for him Finn uses telekinesis to throw him against a car. He falls to the floor unconscious.
Gabriel tried to take advantage of Finns distraction and speeds towards him grabbing him in a choke hold.
"Perhaps your next body will last longer than this one, brother."
He's about to snap his neck when a wooden stake is stabbed through his heart. Gabriel shouts in pain and glances behind him right before he temporarily dies. He gasps as he sees Esther with a small smile on her face.
—
Gabriel wakes up with a start to find out that he's in one of the witches crypts. He was bound by chains and there were dozens of candles surrounding him.
He sees Esther sitting nearby with a smile. "What do you want?" He growls.
She stands up, looking him in the eye. "I only want us to be a family again, Gabriel." She holds his chin in her hand. " I'm so sorry my son, in order for that to happen, some things must change."
And she walks away leaving him in the crypt only hoping Hayley had realized the three men were gone.

Draugr Cell //Layer 01-- Investiture:
With the end of the only war to ever reach mainland Australia I found myself living out of a small room in an old military compound that had been handed over to the jurisdiction of the Department of Veterans Affairs. The end of the war, unfortunately, didn't mean the end of hostilities. The terrorism trend that had started back in the early 2000's with the attack on the world trade center over in America, had spread to just about every country on the face of the planet. Over time the constant threat from various groups meant the civilian police force was quickly undermanned, under equipped, and overwhelmed. They were simply unable to respond to the daily threats in any reasonable time frame, and in many situations lacked the both the skills and equipment required to deal with the threats to put them down in a 'safe' and expedient manner. Veterans of the war that were being reintegrated into society however, were just about everywhere, all the time. We have the training and the skills required to deal with just about any threat you care to mention, all we needed was access to the equipment to do so. In a world first, under the new Veterans program, the Australian government had taken the rather controversial step of allowing specifically selected veterans to go armed in public. Sure, with Australian weapons laws being very, very strict there were a number of hurdles to get over first, but that's where the selection part comes in. Tangentially that's actually how I met Brianna, my current partner. We work as ringers in Victory City, I thought being thrown into imptomtu combat operations and risking my life on a daily basis for barely livable wages was excitement enough. Then I met her... it... I don't know. An AI unlike anything else out there has wedged itself into my life and decided it needs to... look after me. What could possibly go wrong? **** This is the first book I have released, and my first entry into a cyberpunk universe. There is minimal drug use, a fair amount of sex, a bit of gory violence, and a sultry AI that has decided the main character needs a harem.
