the color of bamboo

and your voice as warm as milk.
and I'm a devil in disguise,
I'm what you all despise
my soul as dark as coal
do you still want me as a whole?
my eyes as dead as the night
aren't you scared that I might bite? wherever I go the blight follows
I'm scared I might swallow you whole
and yet you're still here with me,
will you still be there if I ever flee?
leave you here alone
with all the debris
will you still love me
when I'm like this?
