《Judah Judas Adventures》Chapter 40 -Training the Vampire

We arrived before the sun was about to set. When we arrived there, Emily and the other two knights helped us to take the bodies of those two warriors and deliver them to the graveyard where our fallen heroes have died in the hands of those bloody enemies. All four of us took those two fallen comrades' bodies, inserted them into two coffins that four other knights had brought, and two wizards came with two tombstones and wrote on lee, using the magic, of course, the name comrades have fallen in battle. After putting the bodies in their coffins, I and three other knights began digging pits to put their coffins there to rest forever.
In a few minutes, all four of us finished digging these holes, then we started putting the coffins there using the rope. After that, the wizards finished scribbling on the tombstones and I put each one in the place where it should be scribbled. As long as I put those tombstones in specific places, I noticed that those tombstones had identical family names. I think it was a coincidence, but a wizard, who I think was also a priest, begins to hold a famous priest's service when a funeral takes place. The priest began to say the things to be said at the funeral using a levitating book. The priest said these things in a kind of musical note for a few moments. Everything the priest said was quite sad because he said about the god of death that awaits them and about the god of sadness that let them rest in peace for eternity.
After the priest finished his job, the knights, Emily and I have started to say our goodbyes to them and our thanks for saving us, fighting along with us, and being great brothers in arms. When we finished our goodbyes, we left the cemetery, letting those two wizards who are starting to fill the hole where are coffins with sand. Both of us, Emily and I, did not participate in that because we have to report to our General our mission.
When we arrived in the tent where is General located, we have seen him, with the other three knights staying at the table and eating a rich breakfast. This table at which our General is seated is full of snacks that only nobles could have allowed. The general, seeing that we have entered, drinks that yellow liquid almost to the bottom of the cup and asks us what we are looking for here.

"The mission, General. We have finished it," says Emily to the General.
The general looks at us with no idea what the mission was, then remembers what he told Emily a few hours ago. General, gets up from the table and congratulates us on what we did. But he notices that Emily and I feel sad, and he asks us what happened.
"We have lost three knights in the battle. The brothers Evanlongs and the gipsy knight, Jacob Gheorghe."
"Oh no." says the General in a tone that would not look sad or tragic. "Then... The deal is done. You can go now." says the General letting us leave his tent and going back to our tents.
While me and Emily we were walking to our tents, I asked Emily a question about our General.
"Don't you think the General sounds sad when he discovered his soldiers have died?"
"No. I don't think he even knows those three knights," says Emily feeling angry at the General who does not give a damn about his army.
"And who is the guy?"
"Guy?... Ah, you mean the one who will help you train the vampire spell? Well, you'll see him later. After we let our stuff into our tents, we will go to him and asked if he could help us train our vampire spell. And don't worry. The only thing he drinks is wine, beer, and water. Not human blood."
While we were walking to our tents, I asked Emily what are wine and beer, and she told me those two things are drinks that only the adults can consume, the adults at the age of sixteen or eighteen. After she told me that, both of us arrives at our tents, Emily enters her tent to let her things there, and I entered the mine to leave my stuff in there. After I did that, I took my wand and I go with Emily to the place where I have to train my vampire spell.
"How is that wizard looking?" I ask Emily while we are walking to the place where is the wizards will help me.
"He is tall, green long hair, red eyes and he is wearing wizard clothes," says Emily.
"Oh. I see. And... Is he really specialized in vampires?"
"Actually yes. I probably didn't tell you but he is half-wizard-half-vampire."
"For real?"
"For real. I didn't know much about that guy, but I heard from some wizards he is actually a great wizard with vampire powers. That guy will help you control that spell, but I am curious about the spell you have used. That spell wasn't the first time, right?"

"No, it wasn't. The first time when I tried that spell, I captured two bandits, and the knights have put me into a cell until the girls I live with to help me."
"Oh my god... You really had a tough time with that spell. But, I think the guy would help you."
Both of us arrive in front of a cave. There, Emily took her wand from the belt, she lights the wand and she is going first into that cave, then I followed her, using the same technique she was using at her wand. Emily and I were walking into the cave, we looked around and we did not saw anyone while we were walking, but later, when three minutes of walking have passed, we have seen a man, who appears out of nowhere carrying a torch. That man and I suddenly stopped, but Emily did not stop. The man told her to stop, and Emily, who was focusing on other things, came back to reality and stopped when the man told her to stop walking. Emily aimed with her wand at that man and asked him.
"Good day, Derek," says Emily to that unknown man. "How are you?"
"Emily?" the unknown individual asks, unable to believe that Emily is in this cave, she's probably the type Emily was talking about, but why does my name Derek sound so familiar?
The man named Derek sticks the torch in the ground as if it were a long hazelnut twig to help the beans grow, then utters a loud spell that causes the entire cave to be lit by fire as if there were dozens or hundreds of torches inside the cave. Then the guy looks closer at Emily, shakes his hand, then asks him what he's doing here, and Emily tells him.
"Do you still recognize Judah Judas?" says Emily stepping aside to let that man named Derek look at me.
Derek watches me, then approaches slowly, happily, then tells me something I wouldn't have expected to hear.
"You really look like your father."
"I'm sorry. But what?" I say to that guy having no idea where that idea came from.
"Judah, you do not recognize me, right? Well, of course, you cannot. Last time when you saw we were when you had three months... Judah, I am one of your family friends. And I was your mother's teacher when she was still a poor squire who cannot even master a simple spell like "Fireball". My name is Derek Walzomski, and I are ninety-nine years old."
"Ninety-nine years old?" I say to that old man having no idea how old he is if he looks more like an adult at the age of twenty-four.
"Yes. You see, the span of life of a wizard-vampire is long because we sucked the blood of people or animals, which will make us live much longer than any ordinary human. Anyway, why are you two here?" then he remembers something and he looked at feeling curious. "Are you here because you have accepted the letter request?"
"Letter?" I say to that man having no idea for a second, but then I remembered the letter I was throwing away. "Oh, yeah. I remember that letter."
"So. You have sent a letter to him, right?" asked Emily feeling curious about this fact I did not tell her.
"Yes. So are you here to learn how you use vampire spell as I specified in that letter ?" asked the guy named Derek.
"Yes. That's the reason why I am here."
"Alright. I will train you, but I have to tell you. The spell you are using at your age could make your body be put in a few weeks of sleep, or even months... But, I heard from a bird you have used that spell into bandits fight and you have watched them, correct?"
"Yes," I reply to the guy named Derek, who then smiled at me and said.
"Tomorrow at midnight, at this cave, I will help you control that spell." after he said that, he disappeared from our view and the fire too.
Later, Emily and I got out of this cave and headed back to our knights' camp to prepare for the next battle, which wouldn't take long until it started. Tomorrow, at midnight, I will return to this cave to start training to control the "So No Chi Sadame" spell.
