My phone was ringing, it was Viren. I picked up the call.

" Come to our place, tonight. " He invited me.

I went back to the living room. Maybe they were still there and I will find some way to stop them from going. As both Mihir and I were not going, I could not allow even Mahi to go with them.

But when I reached there, I saw that they had already left. I became very restless.

" Manik, have your breakfast. You didn't even have dinner last night. " Chachi said.

" No, I am not hungry. " I didn't feel like eating.

A surprise birthday party is fine as it comes every year and you can have as many surprise parties in a day as you want, but an engagement party ??? Please!! Mom, engagement happens only once in a lifetime, it should have been how and what I wanted. " I said.

" Ok, chill!! We will arrange another engagement party. Tell us whatever you want. We will arrange everything. Fine?? " Mom asked and I hugged her at her sweetness.

I wish it was so simple, I wanted to change the girl...

I went to the office to distract my mind but was getting restless. I should have taken her to the most beautiful places in Delhi. This way, we could have spent more time together and those idiots would not have gotten the chance.

But, it was too late now. I don't know where those morons have taken Mahi and Roshni.

I called Roshni but she didn't receive my call so I called Mahi and she picked up my call.

" Yes, bhai?? " She asked.

" Send me your location. " I said. And she sent it immediately.

" Why do you need it, bhai? " She asked.

" Because I should know, where are you? " I said.

Roshni's POV

We reached Lotus temple and I really loved looking at it. It was beautiful and I felt so much at peace there.

I was behaving normally from the outside but in reality, I was burning inside.

Why did his family arrange a surprise engagement party for him?

Surprise engagement party?? That was so weird...

It was not fair! I love him and I am sure, he loves me too, I can feel that in everything he does.

I saw how he reacted when Shlok Ji suggested the names of some nice and decent men for me to get married to. Manik Ji got annoyed and yelled at Shlok Ji.

And then all he was concerned about was me when Mihir Ji was asking him if he was alright. He just kept asking Mihir Ji to take care of me as I must be very upset.

I just wanted to go to him and throw my arms around him and hug him tight. But I could not.

I saw how much he cared for me, it was not his duty or responsibility.

It was love. Pure love.

I felt so good to know that he was getting so possessive and jealous of me.

He was getting engaged under family and friend's pressure. And his family didn't even know that they hurt him instead of making him happy by arranging the engagement.

I could not go back to that party and see him slipping the ring into Myra's hand, so I went to take some fresh air and kill time.

Though I was glad to know that he loved me, I was also disappointed that he could not accept in front of everyone that he didn't want to get engaged to her.

I knew how much he loved his family and friends and could not hurt anyone of them but to keep them happy he was about to punish himself and me for the rest of our lives.

He had no right to decide on my part, I wanted to scream and tell everyone that I love him and he loved me not Myra. And

he was punishing himself by binding him in a loveless marriage.

Just then I saw something and was shocked.

Either Ron or Raj Ji just knocked on a door. I was shocked to see Myra opening the door and asking him to come in. But he shook his head and looked very annoyed with her.

I could not hear what were they talking about but both seemed annoyed. That intrigued me so much and tried to go near them.

" Ranveer, please come in. Someone might come." She said.

Oh!! It was Ron!!

He took a deep breath and went in. I went near that room as I really wanted to know what what's going on between them and when I heard the conversation I was shocked to know that she didn't feel much for Manik Ji.

Ron was here to question her feelings for both Manik Ji and Raj Ji.

" How can you do that Myra?? You lead on both Raj and Manik. This is not fair to any of them. Why are you so confused, your problem is that all you care about is what you want and let others suffer. If Manik was already your boyfriend, then why did you encourage my brother Raj... and if you are interested in Raj, why are you getting engaged to Manik?!" He asked.

" I don't know what you are saying, Ron!! " She said.

" Wow!! You don't even know what I am talking about?? Fine!! Have it your way but if your little act hurts my brother, I swear you will regret that you hurt him. I hate to see that you are cheating with Manik too. He is such a nice and honest man, how can you cheat him?? I am upset with him that he didn't tell us about his affair with you or all this would not have happened. Raj also got hurt in the process. Listen, you sort out your feelings and clear everything to all or, I would tell everything to everyone. " He shouted at her.

" Ron!! "

" You haven't got engaged till now... Just think about who you want and work accordingly. Please don't ruin two lives. Or I will have to tell everything to everyone. " He said and left.

I really wanted to confront her too. Why was she coming between us if she had feelings for Raj Ji??

I could not stop that engagement, but I will not let Manik Ji and myself suffer because of her. I knew what was to be done.
