Manik's POV

As suggested by the detective, we were disguised as rural natives of that city.

We reached the exact location according to the tracker on her phone.

" Let's go..." I said. But he held my arm.

" Wait!! Let me go and take a room there as a guest. I will see the register and find out which room was rented a few hours back. " He said.

" I can also do that. " I said, I wanted to go and see her.

" No, sir!! You are not an experienced person for this. You might get emotional. Moreover, we don't know who and how many people are there." I will go and do this.

He asked me to stay there and went to check-in.

I was waiting impatiently because I wanted to be with my Roshni as soon as possible.

He signed the register and went in to check the room he rented.

In about 5 minutes, he came out and said.

" Sir, They are in room no 102 Ground floor. I took 103, I got to see from the peephole, Ma'am is unconscious and he was hitting her. " He said.

I literally saw red.

" What?? How dare he?? I am going to kill him. Let's go!! I will kill him."

" Wait, Sir, there is more..." He said.

" What else?? " I was scared for my Roshni.

" Sir, he was touching her inappropriately as if he was trying to find something. All her belongings are scattered all over the place. " He said. I was panting by now.

" Then he called someone and said that he has the girl with him. They can come and get her, provided he gets a good price. " He said.

" Bast***!!! "

" Sir, I think he was looking for a diamond, as he said that she has taken out the diamond but has hidden it somewhere, but he would find it and get back to them. He said he wanted to get the money for both his cut in the diamond and the girl. " He said.

" Enough!! Let's go!! " I could not take or hear more I had to kill him.

" No, sir, you got to hear this. I think the other person refused to give as much as he expected so he threatened them to give him a good price or he would take her back. And the most important thing..... He said, he did it only for them because of their revenge but if they don't pay him well, he would give her back to you, as you would pay him more for her as she is your girlfriend. " He said.

" Revenge?? " I was surprised.

" Sir, he is alone at the moment, we can get her by hitting him but you would not come to know who is trying to take revenge. Who is after you and her? Because that person on the other side agreed to give him money as soon as he said that she is your girlfriend, and you would give anything for her. And they are coming for her. " He said.

" I understand what you are saying but I can't leave her with him even for a minute. She is unconscious... We don't know how much he hit her. I need her with me immediately. " I said.

" Yes, sir... but think rationally." He said and I nodded.

I took his phone and called Hardik. He picked up the call.

" Hello?? He said.

" Is that Hardik? " I asked.

" Yes, Who are you? " He asked.

" Let me tell you that I know exactly where you are and Roshni is with you. Now you have only two choices, either do what I say and earn a lot of money, more than you ever thought of... Or you die. The choice is yours. " I said in my no-nonsense businessman tone.

He was quiet for a few seconds.

" W.who is it??" He finally said.

" Manik Shah!! " I replied.

" No!! Don't even think of disconnecting the call on me. I know exactly where you are. You need to come out and meet me if you don't want to go to prison. I know that you have Roshni with you... I want her back... Safe and sound... Or you are dead. I have all the pieces of evidence against you. I assure you if anything happens to her, it will be the last day of your life. " I said.

" How much can you offer me?? "

" As much as the cost of that diamond. " I said.

" Are you kidding, I already have the diamond with me. I can sell it and get it myself. What can you give for her?? " He asked.

" What do you want?? " I asked.

" Double the price of the diamond?? " He asked.

" Done!! " I said, I would have given 100 such diamonds for her.

"Done?? Think about it. "

" I don't need to...you need to think. You are right, I love her. The diamond she had is worth nothing compared to her for me. I have thousands of diamonds. I can give you so much money that you would never have to work again. But my only condition is that nothing should happen to her. So if I get her back, safe and sound, you will get the money worth twice that diamond or I will either kill you myself or give the details to the police. As it is, I know you are in that cheap guest House. " I said.

" What is the guarantee that you will not harm me?? " He said.

" No guarantee. But you have no choice. You knew the risk when you brought her here, so why do you want a guarantee now?? If you want money come and meet me in the coffee house at about half a kilometre, across the road. I am waiting there for you. " I said.

" I am coming. Keep the money ready. Did you bring such a big amount of money with you?? " He asked.

" That amount is not big for me. Come fast before I call the police, I am losing my patience now. "

" Coming!!" He said and rushed out.

The moment he went out of the guest house, we went in and rushed to their room immediately. The detective opened the door with a secret key and I saw her lying there. Her face still had the impression of his hand. I caressed it and clenched my teeth. I would give it back to him with interest.

The detective started throwing all her stuff in her bag. "

" Sir, lets, get her out of here first, he might come back or the men he called may come for her. " He said

I picked her up in my arms and wanted to get out of there but just then we saw, 4 cars coming in, some goons came out of them, they were looking for someone...

Oh, God!!

They were here to meet Hardik. Though we planned to get her out of this damn place, c we had to wait. So I go to the next door which we had rented.

I made her sleep in the bed and placed a kiss on her forehead. I had her now all I had to do was get her out of this place safely, and tackle that Hardik and that unknown man who wanted revenge.

The detective came in with her stuff and shut the door from inside.

He told me to stay inside while he would go out and see what was happening.

I wanted to go and beat that beast for hitting my love but at the same time didn't want to get her out of my sight. I missed her and I was very thankful to God that I got her back. I would not let her go out of my sight.

She was unconscious and I could see her tear-streaked face I went to the washroom and moistened my handkerchief and cleaned her face. My eyes were getting red out of anger.

What would have happened if I had not put that tracker on her phone?? I would have never reached here.

Who was trying to harm her?? Who was seeking revenge from whom?? Her parents or my family?? And why??

I wanted to know who wanted to give money to Hardik for Roshni but first and foremost was that I wanted to get her out of this place safely.

Why was she unconscious? Did she get unconscious because he hit her??

No!! The detective told me that she was unconscious when he hit her and touched her intimately as if he was trying to find something. Why did she hide the diamond even from him?? Did she get any clue about his wrong intentions?

" Oh, Rosh, my love... Please get up... See you are safe. I am here only for you. Get up... I am worried for you. " I sat down on the bed beside her and took her in my arms.

Just then I saw a very bad bruise on her arm as well, wait till I come face to face with you, how dare you hit her. If only someone was here whom I could trust with Roshni, I would have gone and killed Hardik by now.

I pulled her in my lap and held her tight against my chest. Tears started to flow from my eyes though, I was not sure if they were flowing because of anger or relief that I found her before he could harm her or happiness that she was with me, safe and sound, in my arms.

" I am sorry for waiting for so long, I love you, only you. I can't live without you, hell... I can't even breathe when you are not around. Don't leave me alone again. Once we get out of here, we will go to Delhi and tell everyone, that I want you as my life partner as I may not have a life without you. Wake up!"

What do I do??

Just then the detective opened the door from outside and came in. He was embarrassed to see me holding her in my lap.

" Sorry, sir... I should not have come like this but it is important. " He said looking away. I made her sleep on the bed and came to him.

" What happened??" I asked

" There are at least 10-15 armed people out there. They came looking for Hardik and ma'am. We need to hide her and remain in our disguise. We can't escape. "
