Eren:"Jean, you should have joined the Military Police."

Jean:"Shut up! Don't remind me of that."

Connie:"Hey, how has it been so far? Do they treat you like a monster?"

Eren:"No, it's gotten better than when I first got here. Usually, I help Hange with experiments but after that incident, we stopped for a while."

Sasha:"Do you guys have any idea who it could have been? We were searched like crazy that day."

Armin:"Sadly, no one knows the culprit and it'll be hard to know more based on what little information they have. Still, t-tomorrow is the big day right?"

Jean:"What, us finally going outside the walls, yeah. Supposedly it's better since there were new weapons being developed by the Scouts. Their death rates have gone down by a lot."

Connie:"I wonder if we'll get to use the new weapons."

Reiner:"I hope so."

Sasha:"I'm definitely going for the Infantry Unit, they're in need of marksmans. They get a ton of food too."

Krista:"Sasha..."

It'd had been nearly a month that passed by ever since Eren was brought under Levi's command. Since then, newly graduated cadets had joined the Scouts boosting their numbers.

An incident involving Hange's two titan friends came about when they were discovered dead. Anyone who had access to ODM gear within the military was searched to find the culprit. However, there had been no luck since then and the case had gone cold. Now the group were currently watching Mikasa get hands on training with Din's jetpack.

Krista:"It feels like she doesn't get much time to herself."

Eren:"Ever since you guys got here she hasn't been able to greet you all properly. Din has kept training her before we go out beyond the walls tomorrow."

Jean:"Well, that's understandable. I'm pretty sure no parent would want to watch their kid get eaten in front of their eyes."

Reiner:"Say, Eren, have you ever been given the opportunity to look at his gear? It's very different to what everyone has here."

Eren:"Nobody besides Mikasa or Hange has been able to actually use his stuff or touch it. He keeps everything close to him or on him."

Bertolt:"Would they be able to speak about it? Like how to use it?"

Eren:"No? Why does it matter? It's not like we'll be able to equip it."

Bertolt:"Oh, no reason at all. Right Reiner?"

Reiner:"Yeah."

Armin:"She's coming towards us."

Mikasa:"Hey."

Everyone bursted out laughing when they saw her hair in a mess.

Mikasa:"What?"

Connie:"Your hair! Bwahaha!"

Jean:"You're always so serious so your hair being messy like that caught us by surprise."

Mikasa:"Oh." She fixed her hair quickly.

Mikasa:"Better?"

Eren:"Yeah."

The group of friends chatted amongst each other about the past as well as tomorrow. Din just watched his Foundling from afar as she laughed and had fun.

Levi:"Are you just going to stand there and stalk them?"

Din:"I'm not stalking them."

Levi:"Doesn't look that way to me. I'm surprised you gave her time to relax. You've been busy, did the thing come out good?"

Din:"The harness? It did, it suites the jetpack perfectly. She's catching on what I teach her faster than what I had expected."

Levi:"Good, anyway I came to tell you that you will be leaving ahead of the expedition tomorrow."

Din:"What?"

Levi:"All I can say to you is that Erwin has something big planned for the expedition. We need you to play your part in this for it to work, got it?" Din gave Levi a hard stare since he had no clue what he was going on about. He turned to Mikasa's direction and found her to be looking at him as well.

Din:"Alright but I want you to promise me something. Keep her safe during that time."

Levi:"Naturally, I've known you and the little sour face for a while now. Who would I pick on if you two weren't here?"

Din:"Thank you, Levi. I'll go and get my things ready." After their conversation ended, the two left the area leaving a curious Mikasa to wonder what they talked about.

Day of the expedition

Mikasa:"Where did he go?"

Levi:"I don't know."

Mikasa:"You were just talking to him yesterday."

Levi:"Listen, kid. As your commanding officer, you'll be listening to me during this operation. Din placed you under my watch while he's away, all you need to know is Erwin gave him orders."

Mikasa:"Okay."

Levi:"He left you some items, didn't he?" He looked down at the pouch Din left for her.

Mikasa:"He did."

Levi:"You know how to use them?" He asked. She nodded her head.

Levi:"Good, stay close to us. The gate is about to open, no matter what happens, stay close and don't let your emotions get in your way. People will die and you won't be able to save them all. That goes for you all as well."

Levi Squad/Mikasa:"Yes sir!"

Levi:"Like I told her, don't do anything stupid, Eren."

Eren:"Yessir!"

Erwin:"Advance!!"

A few hours later at ???

Din:"Is everything ready?"

Scout:"Yes sir."

Din:"Good, return back and mount the cannons. Stay ready for my signal."

Scout:"Sir!"

Din:'I hope you know what you're doing, Erwin. This is such a gamble.'

A loud bang off in the distance was heard by Din and his men. One of his Scouts returned back and reported sightings of several signal flares. Erwin and Hange soon arrived on the tree branch that Din stood on.

Din:"Are you sure this will work? I mean we don't even know if it's true or not."

Erwin:"Based on Hange's findings, I digress. I had a feeling about the truth ever since we discovered Eren could transform. In time, we'll find out the truth."

Hange:"They're close."

Din:"Should I join in?"

Erwin:"No, you're on standby. Levi on the ground with his squad is more than enough to protect Eren."

While talking about Levi, he finally appeared with his squad. Pulling out a flare gun, he fired it into the air giving the signal to open fire.

Erwin:"Now! OPEN FIRE!"

Dozens of hooks shot out from the foliage of the forest hitting the strange abnormal titan.

Din:"A female?"

Hange:"Oho! This will be interesting!"

Levi:"I left my team with Eld in charge, Mikasa is with them so don't worry. Looks like it's immobilized."

Din:"Thank you."

Erwin:"We can't let down our guard yet. At any rate, good work on guiding it here."

Levi:"We were able to buy time thanks to the rear squad that gave their lives fighting. Thanks to them,we'll be able to meet the one in this thing's nape. Let's just hope they're not pissing themselves."

Levi and Mike both went straight to the nape for an attack. As soon as they closed in, the Female Titan hardened parts of her nape for protection.

Erwin:"A hardening ability similar to that of the Armored Titan. However, she can't hold it for long...Din?"

Din:"Yes?"

Erwin:"Do you have your sword on you?"

Din:"Yeah, want me to try cutting through?"

Erwin:"Try it and in the case you succeed, bring me the individual alive."

Din gave him a nod and hopped down from the tree branch. Igniting the Dark Saber on his descent down, the Female Titan hardened her nape once again. This time, the Dark Saber went straight through her hardened nape piercing her armor.

Female Titan:

Din:"It got through, Levi get ready."

Levi pulled another pair of blades from his scabbard while Din started his cutting. The Female Titan shook violently and let out an ear-piercing scream that sounded throughout the forest. Everyone covered their ears including Din, pausing his cut.

Din:"Dank Farrik! What the hell is she doing!?"

When the screaming stopped, dozens of Titans poured in from every direction imaginable.

Levi:"Oi, bitch. Did you bring them all in?" He asked while stomping the top of her head.

Erwin looked around at the Chaos with one thing catching his attention. A small 3 meter titan eating a chunk off of her ankle.

Erwin:'They're eating her!? Is she so desperate to escape us that she would resort to this!?'

Erwin:"All troops! Defend the Female Titan! Fire the artillery!"

Eren:"What was that!?"

Eld:"Just keep going forward, we can't let Captain Levi down."

Petra:"Don't worry what's happening behind us, we need to get you out of the forest!"

Mikasa:"Listen to them Eren, they know what's best for you."

Eren kept quiet and followed their orders. After all, they were the best of the best alongside the Mandalorian's Foundling. He knew he was in good hands.

Off to the left, Gunther noticed a hooded Scout close to their vicinity.

Gunther:"Huh? Is that the Captain? No..."

Eren:"Gunther!"

Eren and the squad gone around a corner and spotted the man dangling by his gear.

Oruo:"Keep going, Eren. Don't look back!"

Eld:"Protect him! Don't let the enemy come close!"

Petra:"They're using our gear!"

"If the enemy has a way to preserve their stamina, it's possible they can transform into a titan again."

Oruo:"She's coming back!"

Petra:"Where's Mikasa!"

Eld:"Forget her, we need to focus on Eren!"

Eren:"NO! We can't leave her!"

In the midst of bickering back and forth, Petra spotted the girl zip past the Female Titan.

Petra:"What is she doing!?"

Now in front of the abnormal, Mikasa and the titan locked eyes for a moment until several explosions sounded throughout the forest.

Female Titan:"KYAAA!"

She dropped to the ground with a loud thud. Her momentum from the run caused her to slide across the ground until a tree stopped her. The squad watched Mikasa soon join up with them as they looked on in confusion.

Oruo:"What did you do!?"

Petra:"Don't do something so foolish like that again, Mika!"

Mikasa:"Dad gave me a pouch full of his explosives. They were the last he had so he gave them to me in case I was caught in a bad situation. I came up with the idea of throwing the pouch to her ankles to stop her."

Eld:"Great job, let's leave while we can. I'm sure they will just continue the chase."

As they turned to leave, Levi and Din both rushed overhead towards the direction of the Female Titan. Not done with her just yet, they would use any means to see who was just inside.

Levi:"I'll immobilize her and you come in to take the nape."

Din:"Got it."

Quickly getting back up on her feet after that devastating explosion, the Female Titan turned to flee. Levi was closing the distance far faster than she anticipated. Coming to a stop, the titan threw a punch at the Captain ultimately sealing her fate.

Din:'Dank Farrik, he's fast!'

After blinding and cutting the heel of the titan, Levi made sure to keep it down for Din to do his thing. Instead of yelling out his intentions, Levi looked at Din and gave a signal.

Din went high into the air to allow him to free fall without his jetpack making noise. The two men knew whoever was inside could hear the surroundings so they played it smart. Din pulled his Dark Saber out and cut the hardened armor exposing the shifter.

A blade came out from the hot smoke striking him in the helmet. Acting quick, Din quick drawed his blaster and stunned the individual.

Levi:"Did you get them?"

Din:"Yeah, wait, isn't she a part of the new cadets?"

Levi:"Hm, we can figure that out later. Tie her up and we'll take her back with us."

Din:"Alright."
