I looked at myself in the full-length mirror in the hallway. What would I wear? A suit? No... That would be way too classy.

I ran my hand through my hair and sighed. I'll look for something in my closet. I turned around and saw Nate talking to Benjamin. When he briefly glanced my way, I felt myself begin to blush. He winked and looked away again.I went to my room and threw several pieces of clothing on my bed and looked at everything. Normally I don't care how I look, but a date like this is special enough to put some effort into an outfit.

When I finally found the clothes I wanted, I stared at them for another minute before putting them on. I'll look good, right? It's hard to ask Max for his opinion after that one time... Ugh. Somehow this still feels too basic, but I'll leave it for what it is. It'll be fine.

I went to the bathroom and took my razor to smooth my skin a bit. You never know what Nate is up to with me on the date... That idea drove my head crazy. I'm so glad he said yes, I really can't wait for it to happen.

As the happiest person on earth, I jumped in the air a few times and smiled at myself in the mirror. "Liam, you look great. And Nate will like it too. I'm sure."

I kissed myself against the mirror and hopped out of the bathroom. Mmm, what would I do now? The strong smell of coffee invaded my nose. "Mom?" I called. "Are you making coffee?" it took a few minutes before she responded. "Liam? Darling? What are you saying? I'm in the kitchen so I can't hear you well." I sighed. Of course she can't, duh, the coffee machine is making to much noise and she's downstairs. I'm so dumb.

I walked down the stairs and came across Nate. I saw him studying my outfit when he walked passed me, but he didn't said anything and walked to his room. "Is something wrong with Nate?" I asked when I walked into the kitchen, where mom was.

"Mhm?" she quickly looked at me before pouring coffee in her cup. "Oh, uhm, Nate? No, no honey, nothing is wrong with him. He just has a few issues but you don't have to worry about it, he'll be fine." Will he? I guess...

I shrugged my shoulders and walked passed her and took a cup out of the kitchen cabinet. "Have you asked Nate on a date? That might sheer him up a bit." she began. "I think you're the only one who can make him a bit more happier rn..." a smile appeared on my face. 

The only one, huh?

"I think he loves you a lot. And I'm happy for both of you." I nodded.

I took a sip of my coffee and walked out of the kitchen. "Oh, also, Liam. Your friend Max called. He asked if he could come over but I've said you're busy and you're probably going on a date with Nate." I stood still. Flashbacks of that day ran through my mind again. The only hope i've had is fading away so much... Max, why, just why. 

"What did he replied on that?" I said in a serious tone.

"Nothing much, honestly. He asked if you could call him back when you were free again. "And, you still didn't answered my question." 

"Which question?" confused--

She laughed. "Omg, Liam... Stop thinking about your loverboy so much and try to pay attention a bit more." If my face would be an emoji it would have been this one "Very funny"

"I asked if you asked Nate on a date."

"Oh, uh, yea."

"And?"

"Huh? Oh, he said yes."

"Oh, really? Im so happy for you."

I smiled.
