Y/N's POV:

I wake up and immediately hear my phone ringing, I sit up and look at the alarm clock. Who the hell is calling me at 6 in the morning? I take the phone from the bedside table and see that the call is from Eleanor, so I answer it.

Y/N:Yes, how can I help you Eleanor?

Good morning I just wanted to remind you about the barbecue today.

Shit, over all the stress with Ahri I completely forgot that me and Akali were invited to that.

And that's why you're calling me so early? Listen, Eleanor, the last few days have been stressful and I don't think this is a good idea.

Eleanor: You are a soldier Y/N, by now you must be used to getting up early. No arguments smaller you come, and don't forget your girlfriend.

Y/N: what Eleanor? no, she's not my girlfriend.

But Eleanor hung up before she heard the last part, I should go over there... if I don't go freely she will come and drag me by my ears into her garden, I don't need this again. I should go talk to Akali. I get up from my bed and stretch until I hear my back pop softly, before I make my way to the bathroom to get ready. When I arrive in the kitchen, I see Akali and Kai'sa sitting at the kitchen island.

Kai'sa: Good morning Y/N.

Y/N: Good morning Bokkie.

The two of them start smiling happily as soon as they see me. I walk past them and get a coffee before sitting down with them. After taking a sip of my coffee, I look at Akali to talk to her about the barbecue.

Akali, Eleanor just called me to remind me about the barbecue she invited us to today, I don't know, do you want to go or should I go alone?

Akali: oh shit, I completely forgot... We can go there, I could use a distraction after all the drama of the last few days. when do we have to be there?

Y/N: At 3pm, we have time.

Akali nods and moves on, while I continue to drink my coffee, a question pops up in my head.

Y/N: Speaking of the stress of the last few days, where are Ahri and Eve?

Kai'sa: Ahri is still sleeping and eve is not back yet, she slept over at a... friend of hers.

I see that Kai'sa blushes when she talks about Eve, what does she mean by 'friend'? Why the hell am I getting jealous? If eve thinks she has to fuck some guy it's not my problem, besides I don't want anything from her, why does it make me so angry? I slowly take a sip of the coffee and look up, a little annoyed. I kind of hoped that the look was somewhat subtle, but Akali noticed it immediately.

Akali: oh are we getting jealous because eve is getting laid? So you're not only flirting with Ahri but you're also into eve, who's next me or Bokkie?~

As soon as Kai'sa hears this, she turns bright red and quickly puts her head down on the table.

Y/N: Shut up Akali, I don't flirt with anyone and I don't have a crush on anyone.

Akali just laughs and nods, she doesn't seem to believe me, I'm not even surprised I don't believe myself. I leave the subject alone and we continue talking while I finish my coffee after we are done, I leave them alone and go jogging.

An hour before we have to leave I get ready for the barbecue, when I am done I sit down on the sofa and wait for Akali. I turn around after I hear her coming down the stairs, she is wearing jeans and a normal jumper, cute as always.

Y/N: Ready?

Akali: Yeah, I'm ready.

So we go to the car and drive off, arriving after about half an hour. As we walk to Eleanor's yard gate, I hear a lot of voices behind the gate, apparently most of them are already there. I want to open the gate but before I can Akali grabs my arm so I turn to her and she gives me a worried look.

Akali: D-Do any of them know how we know each other?

Y/N: what do you mean?

Akali: does anyone here know that we left you behind back then?

Y/N: Eleanor knows but you already know her, the rest doesn't know that I know you, most of the people who will be here I don't even know very well myself.

Even after I have assured her of this, she still seems ashamed, so I hug her, which surprises her at first but she quickly returns.

Y/N: I told you I forgave you, okay? Just forget about what happened 10 years ago, it's done.

I let go of her, she smiles and nods. Good, can this subject please be over now? I turn back to the door and we go into the yard.

Man, I love this yard. As I walk in, I see many of the neighbours already standing in the yard and Eleanor's husband is already at the grill, this man is the god of BBQ.

Akali: This yard is awesome!

Y/N: Yeah, Eleanor's husband Hank loves this place like it's his child, much to the dismay of his real child.

Akali just laughs and we both go off to look for Eleanor. While we are looking for her, I am approached by a lot of people I hardly know, just as this is starting to annoy me, I hear a very familiar voice behind me.

???: Hey Y/N, didn't expect to see you here.

When I turn around I see nick with a big smile and a beer in his hand looking back and forth between Akali and me but I ignore that for now.

Y/N: I could say the same about you, what are you doing here?

Nick: Hank invited me over, he desperately wanted to show me his new whirlpool.

Nick answers with a laugh, That guy really has too much free time on his hands. Before I answer him, nick looks at Akali and starts smiling again, I can already tell what's coming next.

Nick: Hi you must be one of Y/N's popstar girlfriends.

Y/N: Ignore him, he's drunk. Akali this is Nick, he is my best friend and is on my squad.

I quickly interrupt him before he can talk further, Akali giggles and stretches out her hand to nick, which he quickly accepts.

Akali: Hey, nice to meet you Nick.... do we know each other from somewhere?

Y/N: Nick helped me bring Ahri back, he was in the house shortly after we picked her up.

Akali thinks for a few seconds before she recognises him, I didn't expect her to remember him anyway, the three of them were understandably focused on Ahri.

Akali: ah yes, thanks for getting her out of there bro.

Nick: No problem, everything for Y/N. By the way Y/N I am not drunk the problem is that you both are not so let's change that.

Says Nick before he starts to pull me with him but before he can we see Eleanor coming towards us.

Eleanor: Y/N, Akali glad you could make it.

She says while hugging me and Akali, Akali flinches a little but then hugs Eleanor back.

Y/N: It's not like you left me much of a choice.

Eleanor: Don't complain, I know you like it here. What do you two want to drink?

Y/N: Don't worry, I'll get us something, you can just relax.

Eleanor: Nonsense, you are our guests, Akali sweetie could you please help me in the kitchen for a moment.

Before I can reply, Akali nods and the two walk towards the house, leaving me and nick standing there. Why did she want Akali to help her now? It doesn't make any sense, she's much more of a guest than I am. What are you up to, Eleanor?

3'rd POV:

Akali follows Eleanor into the kitchen and Eleanor opens the fridge and takes out two six-packs of beer while Akali just stands there and doesn't know what to do.

Akali: How can I help you?

Eleanor: When are you going to tell him?

She ignores Akali's question and continues talking.

Akali: Are you talking about Y/N? what should I tell him?

She closes the fridge and looks at me directly.

That you love him.

Akali: W-What do you mean?

Eleanor: Come on, sweetie, it's obvious you love him.

Akali just starts uncertainly at Eleanor, who hesitates for a few seconds before answering.

Akali: Even if that is true, he doesn't see me that way, for him I am the little girl he used to know. He wants nothing from me, he is in love with Ahri and has been for years.

Says Akali sadly, but Eleanor only starts to grin, causing Akali to look at her confused.

Eleanor: Don't be so sure. I love this boy like he's my own son but when it comes to romance he's a complete idiot, it's obvious you're important to him, you're all are and that overwhelms him. For the last 10 years all he's talked about is you, no matter how much you've hurt him, no matter if he's had a girlfriend it's always been you.

Eleanor takes the packs of beer and walks out of the room, leaving Akali standing in the kitchen in confusion.

Y/N's POV:

A few minutes after Eleanor returned, Akali came back into the garden, she looked confused. I wanted to ask what was going on but decided against it, if she has something on her mind she will come to me when she is ready.

The next few hours we talked a lot with nick and had a lot of fun but around 11pm Akali and I decide to go home. After saying goodbye to everyone I call a taxi, we have both had a bit too much to drink and a car accident is not really on my to do list. When we arrive home, I pay the taxi driver and we go to the front door before I open the door, I hear Akali talking behind me.

Akali: Thanks for taking me along, it was fun.

Of course, I'm glad you had fun.

Akali hugs me quickly after a few seconds she lays her head against my forehead and looks deep into my eyes.

are you all right? I had the feeling that something was bothering y-

Before I can finish my sentence I feel Akali's lips on mine, where is this coming from all of a sudden? Shit, Nick was right. I should stop but no matter how hard I try I can't convince myself to just stop, I don't want to. I grab her face and deepen the kiss, when we are out of breath after a few minutes we separate. As I start to panic, Akali smiles at me shyly.

l-let's go to your r-room.

A/N:Well anyway, as you may have noticed, I changed my writing style in this chapter, in my opinion it is easier to understand what is going on but if you liked the old version more just say so.
