I jogged downstairs as soon as I heard my Father's voice.
I entered the living room and I saw my Father sitting in the sofa with my Step-mother while Tyson's Mom was sitting in the sofa chair.
"Dad." I greeted my father and he stood up with a smile.
I approached him with a bone crushing hug.
"I missed you too, princess." He said while he playfully ruffled my hair and I smiled.
"I guess we should go now." I heard my stepmother saying and I looked at her as she stood up from the sofa.
"She just had to spoil the moment?" I muttered to myself as I broke the hug.
"I'm guessing this is goodbye, Ashley." Mrs. King smiled, sadly as she spread her hands for me to hug her and I chuckled.
"I can always visit once in a while." I suggested as I went to hug her and she pat my back while we hugged.
"You're going home, huh?" I heard Tyson asking and I slowly broke the hug then I turned to see him entering the living room.
"Yeah, I will see you at school." I told him as I ran a hand through my hair.
He simply nodded with his hands in his pockets.
**********
"Ashley!" I heard a familiar voice as I continued to walk towards the Principal office to give an apology letter after my two weeks suspension.
I slowly turned around and I saw Chloe, one of my dearest best friends from back home, approaching me in the school's hallway.
She had dark brown hair which falls below her shoulders and hazel eyes with slight freckles on her cheeks.
She smiled as she pulled me into a small hug..."What are you doing here?" I asked, completely shocked by her presence.
"My parents and I moved here three weeks ago, but I started this school last week." She informed me while slowly pulling away.
"I can't believe this." I slightly chuckled as I touched my forehead.
"I'm not the only one who moved here too." She said as she slowly pulled me aside to the lockers while students walked past.
"Guess who?" She gave me a playful smile and I stared at her with a questioning expression.
"Lexi and Chad." She told me with a nod and my heart skipped a beat as I leaned against the locker.
Lexi is my other best friend from our hometown and she's actually a wild child though she tends to play the role of being innocent.
Chad on the other hand...
He was my old crush in junior high and he was actually one of those antisocial popular kid, so we never got to exchange conversations.
"Ashley." Chloe suddenly interrupted my thoughts as she pat me on the shoulder and I looked at her, blankly.

"Huh?" I nervously chuckled.
"You were stuck in your little world, up here." She playfully pointed to my head.
I exhaled a deep breath.
"I just can't believe Chad is here." I admitted as I looked down the hallway while running a hand through my hair.
She rolled her eyes.
"Girl...I honestly don't like his attitude." She told me and I looked at her while she shook her head.
"What do you mean?" I asked as I stared at her.
"He's a total Jerk." She rolled her eyes before she looked the other way.
"Seriously?" I chuckled.
"Don't you dare go falling head over heels for him." She warned me with narrowed eyes.
"Why would I?" I smirked at her and she exhaled a sigh with her eyes pasted on me.
"I know you still have some sort of feelings for him." She claims while crossing her hands underneath her chest.
"No, I don't." I scoffed as I straightened my bag over my shoulder.
"Whatever." She shrugged her shoulders as she looked across the hallway and I rolled my eyes.
"Are you still a cheerleader?" I decided to change the subject.
"Of course." She responded with a slight ego as she looked at me.
"The coach of this school's cheer team promoted me as the Captain two days ago." She informed me with a wink and I smiled at her.
"I'm happy for you." I playfully smacked her on the cheek and she pouted her lips before we both started to chuckle.
"Oh, look...there's Lexi." She said as she motioned her head.
I turned around to look in the direction and I saw Lexi walking towards us with a girl in the hallway.
The girl had dark brown hair and she held few books in her hands.
"Bitch...I missed you." Lexi quickly engulfed me into a hug when they both stood among us.
I chuckled since only my best friends are allowed to call me a 'bitch' without me having the slightest problem.
"I missed you too." I admitted and she giggled while we broke the warming hug. She had silky straight black hair and light amber eyes.
"I heard you got into a fight with this other bitch and you received two weeks suspension." She told me as she held me by the arms and I slowly nodded.
"So, you're living here too, huh?" I smiled at her and she nodded.
"Yeah...my mom and I moved here couple days ago." She confirmed while staring at me.
"She was planning to send me to a boarding school, but Chloe informed her about you attending this school as well as her." She explained as she slowly looked between Chloe and I.

"So, she ended up agreeing to send me here as long as I try to stay away from trouble, like I always do." She smirked as she turned her attention to me and we slightly chuckled.
"Plus, I didn't want you guys to have fun without me." She frowned as she slowly released my arms and I smiled at her.
"Hi...I am Zoe Lopez." The other girl introduced herself and I looked at her while she continued to hold her books.
"I'm Ashley Sky." I greeted her and her eyes widened.
"You're that girl who told off the school's bad boy on the first day and you fought the school's most popular girl like two times." She squealed while staring at me and I almost laughed since I didn't realized I had fans in school.
"I thought you were a nerd at first, but you're a fucking legend." She told me with a nod and we all laughed as she continued to smile.
"Can we be friends?" She asked as she looked between Chloe and I.
"Sure." I shrugged it off and Chloe slowly nodded as well.
"If you're friends with Lexi, you're friends with us." I told her with a pat on the shoulder and she smiled with a nod.
Lexi giggled.
***********
"Ashley..." I heard a voice when I was about to enter the girls bathroom to wash the pen ink from my hands.
I groaned.
"Tyson is in a fight." I realized it was Mason when I turned around in the hallway.
"And what am I supposed to do about that?" I said, curiously as I looked at the slight ink on my palms from my pen.
"You need to calm him down, before he kills the person." I heard Mason saying as he stood before me.
I raised a brow at him.
"I just got out of a two weeks suspension and you want me near a fight." I said, completely unbelievable.
"If he gets two more strikes from the Principal, he will get expell." He informed me in a tensed tone and I stared at him in silence.
He sighed before he held me by the hand and he dragged me along as I continued to groan then we approached a huge crowd at the end of the hallway.
He slowly pulled me through the crowd and I saw Tyson punching a boy in the face on the floor, rapidly.
"See...stop him!" Mason yelled at me through the noise.
"What...why don't you or one of the guys stop him...why me?" I asked, loudly while the crowd yelled 'fight'.
"He's not listening to us and he accidentally punched Chase in the face when he tried pulling him off." He informed me while pointing at Tyson.
I scoffed.
"Would if he punch me in the face too, huh?" I asked, completely pissed off then he gave me those puppy eyes.
"Trust me, he won't listen to anyone else, but you." He claims as he stared at me.
I rolled my eyes before stepping foward towards the fight.
"Tyson...stop." I shouted at him before I placed a hand on his shoulder.
He looked at me with a glare while he paused his punches and I stared at him while the crowd slowly quiet down.
I watched as his glare softened and I slowly removed my hand from his shoulder before I began to walk through the parting crowd.
"You're the best." Mason told me with his arms crossed before his chest and I slightly glared at him as I walked away.
"Ashley...wait up!" I heard Tyson saying as he caught up with me in the hallway and I looked at him.
I realized he didn't received any bruises on his face though it was the opposite for his knuckles.
"Well, aren't you a good fighter." I smirked at him while I glimpsed a water fountain in the hallway.
He chuckled.
"I would say the same about you, blonde." He said as he followed me to the fountain.
As I turned on the pipe to wash my hands, I playfully rolled my eyes at him.
"Why were you guys fighting?" I decided to question him while I washed the ink from my hands.
"We had a misunderstanding and he pissed me off, so I showed him a thing and two with my fists." He claimed as he looked at his knuckles.
I slightly chuckled.
"Of course, right?" I asked with a hint of impudence in my tone as I stepped aside from the pipe.
"He left me no other choice." He said with a shrug of his shoulders while he started to wash his hands as well.
"You could've resolved the problem by talking to a Teacher or going to the Principal." I openly suggested as I dried my hands with a roll of napkin from the wall beside the fountain.
"Would you?" He smirked while looking at me as he turned off the pipe.
I chuckled, ironically.
"Point taken." I shrugged it off as he dried his hands and I threw my used napkin in the trash bin beside the fountain.
He slightly smiled at me as he threw his used napkin into the bin and I returned the smile.
"My ship." I heard Noah's voice and I saw him walking by with Mason.
We both groaned.
