《Out-Flirt Me - Anakin x Reader》Chapter 41- Well, I got stabbed.

Getting stabbed in the stomach doesn't hurt as much as one would expect it to. Or that's just your experience. Because when you got stabbed in the stomach with a lightsaber, the shock hurt more than anything. The shock that your master, who is the closest thing you have to a mother, stabbed you. The shock that she's a sith lord and that you'll never have your master back. The shock that you were going to die now. And just the cherry on top, you were pregnant.
So, naturally, as you stumbled back your eyes were as wide as the sand seas on Tatooine. And your master just smiled at you. She completed her mission, she didn't need to be her anymore. So as you fell to the ground she backed away and left. You never knew shock could hurt so bad. All your life, it was described as a surprise. Something one is just taken back by. But here under the setting sun, you were in utter pain from shock.
Now, you laid back in the rough grass. Starting up at the sky which had always comforted you. It did the same now, the clouds moved on. The wisps blew through the sky as if you were dying. It helped you grasp that their lives would go on without you.
I felt a sharp pain in my right side as Darth Maul spun around me. He chuckled as I grabbed my side, which hadn't been cut by him. And then when I turned around to attack, he was gone. As if he disappeared in the wind. I left my hand on my side, feeling with the force.
Something was wrong. I could feel it deep within the marrow of my bones. And a feeling this deep meant it could only be one person. My love, my angel, the light of my life. Something was wrong with her. I continued to feel, trying to find her. My feet took themselves to where I could feel you. But I could now sense what was wrong as I got closer. You were fading.
"Y/n?" I called, desperate to hear your voice, "Where are you, love?"
Ani.
I ran as fast as I could through the thin forest. You were in here somewhere, and your light was fading.
Just keep conscious, I'll be-
There she was. Laying on her back in a small clearing, all alone. I sprinted to her side and kneeled by her. Placing my hand on the side of her face I asked,
"What happened?"
She smiled up at me. It was weak. Her eyes were half closed as her face had already begun to pale.
"Angel, I need you to stay awake for me." A tear fell from my eye and her soft hand reached up. She brushed away the tear as she muttered,
"Don't cry for me. I'll see you again one day."
A ship flew overhead and seemed to land somewhere nearby.
"No, no you'll be fine." I cried harder, "You'll get medical attention, and you'll be perfect like always."
"Take care of the girls for me, finish-" She coughed, "their training."
"You'll be there to help me."
Clones ran toward us through the trees. They surrounded Y/n and I. Then Kix kneeled down next to her with his first aid kit.
"General, we need to get her to the cruiser."
I nodded and picked her up, carrying her to the ship. They flew us up and to the cruiser. I later learned that Obi-Wan commed them when he felt something in the force.

When we arrived, a stretcher was waiting for her. With more of the medical staff around it. I reluctantly set her down and they wheeled her away. Setting a mask on her face, they began to work as they pushed.
I followed after her, but the staff kept pushing me back. They needed room to work and Kix gave me a sorry look. Then someone put their hand on my shoulder. And i knew who it was.
"How is she?" Obi-Wan inquired as he stepped to my side.
"Not good."
"They're going to do everything they can. You know that, Anakin."
I just nodded as Ashoka came to the other side of me. Even though I expected Auren to be with her she wasn't.
"Where's Auren?"
"She left after we got onto the ship. I'm pretty sure she saw Y/n get stabbed. She just needs time."
I nodded, we all need time. But I thought back to what Y/n said. She wanted me to take care of them. So I turned to Ashoka.
"How are you feeling?"
She pulled her eyes off the doorway where Y/n's doctors had disappeared. And she looked up to me with red eyes holding tears back. She didn't respond but i felt her.
"C'mon, Snips. Let's go find Auren." I tabbed the top of her head and walked with her, sensing where Auren was.
Obi-Wan walked after Y/n. He would wait there for her while I took care of the girls.
"Are you hungry?"
Ashoka just shook her head.
"Tired?"
She tilted her head to the side a bit before nodding.
"Okay, we'll find Auren and you both can take a nap. Sound good?"
She nodded and after a few seconds of silence she muttered, "I think Aurens gonna be in here."
She turned to a door and paused. Yeah, she was in there.
"What is this place?"
"Y/n used to hide in storage closets when we played hide and seek. Then when we found her she would jump out with a mop, pretending it was her lightsaber."
I would've chuckled, it was a nice memory. But there was to much clouding my brain right now. So I nodded and pressed the button to open the door.
"Auren? You in here" I thought it was common curtesy.
A sniffle responded for her.
"I was thinking that we could head to Y/n's room and you and Ashoka here could take a nice nap. Rest up or you could read one of her books. I'm sure she won't mind."
She emerged from the back corner and rubbed her eyes. She just kept on walking until she ran into me and wrapped her arms around me. Her tears wet my tunic, but I didn't care. I just returned the gesture.
"I'm sorry." Her words were muffled but I made them out.
"What? Hey, hey no this isn't your fault." I kneeled down in front of her so I was where she was staring, "There was nothing you could've done."
"I could've helped her," Her lip quivered, "But- but I saw her and I- I just froze."
I placed my hand on her head and twisted the hair by her face. "No one blames you, I would've frozen too."
"You would've?"
"Kriff yeah, if I saw my Master hurt I probably wouldn't have talked to anyone for days." I pointed at her heart, "That's what makes you so brave. You too Ashoka."
She smiled over at me, seemingly feeling a bit better.

"Now let's go, I can tell you two are tired." I stood up and walked out of the room. They followed behind me with small chatter every once in a while. I guided them back to Y/n's room on the ship and let them in. They both sat on the bed and pulled on her blanket. I went into her closet where she kept a small box. It had her books, drawings, and anything else fun in it.
I looked through the stuff, bringing back memories of her telling me about the book characters. And when I brought it out for the girls. They were already asleep. Ashoka on her stomach with her arm going up and over Auren's head. Auren on her side, facing Ashoka who was toward the wall.
Smiling, I set down the box on the side by the bed. And picked out a book. "The Story of a Lost Jedi" Sounds interesting.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The girls slept soundly behind me as I got to the 7th chapter in the book. This can't be approved by the council. Which made me want to read it even more. It talked about the likelihood of corruption within the council at times. And the council would hate that there was any doubt in them. But maybe that's why Y/n took it with her.
"Master?" A sleepy voice asked from behind me.
I stuck my thumb in the book and turned around, "Yeah, Snips?"
"How long were we asleep?"
"Umm," I checked my comm, "Only an hour and a half."
She nodded and face planted back into the bed. I chuckled and placed my hand on her shoulder.
"I'll be back in a bit, okay?"
She groaned something that I couldn't understand. But I took it as an alright and headed out. I followed my mental path to the hospital. I saw Obi-Wan sitting in a chair fiddling sleepily with his fingers.
"Obi-Wan?" He looked up to me as I got closer, "You know you can go to sleep, right?"
"That's funny coming from you."
I smiled lightly and looked through the windows, "Have you seen her?"
Rubbing his face, he responded, "No, I haven't tried yet."
"Why not?"
"Figured you would want to go with me."
I nodded and began to walk through the doors. Soon, I found Kix looking over a data-pad.
"Kix!" I called
He tiredly turned to me and nodded, "General Skywalker, General Kenobi. I'm guessing your here for General Y/l/n."
"Yeah, any chance we can see her?"
"She has a window room and you can look through that. She isn't quite stable yet but she should be soon. According to the results, she will most likely be in a coma for a while."
He led us to the back rooms where patients were kept long term. Great. I thought back to when she saved me from the Senate building. Always saving me. I was just hoping she didn't lose her memory again, I don't know if I could take it.
Now here she was, only through glass. And she was asleep with multiple doctors around her. But she was right here nonetheless.
"The doctors will be in there until she's stable. And when they're done, they should be able to tell you more than I can." Kix nodded to us and left. Leaving Obi-Wan and I at the window.
The doctors and droids moved around quickly. And every once in a while, I'd get a get look at her. They were bandaging her abdomen, applying lots of pressure. And she still had the oxygen mask on her face. Yet her eyes were closed almost peacefully. Her skin was pale but it wasn't as bad as earlier. She seemed to be making a comeback. And I don't know how to read medical charts, but hers looked different than the dead people's ones.
I stood watching for longer than I could remember. Obi-Wan sat down nearby and tried to get me to. But obviously, I didn't. I waited until the doctors and droids were done with her. Which was a lot longer than I was hoping. After several hours, the doctors and droids stepped back. She was stable.
They said things to each other that I couldn't make out. But they looked content with her condition. As they started to walk out, I got the attention of one of them. Who I noticed had been somewhat in charge in there.
"Is there anything you can tell me about he condition?" I asked and he froze.
He looked back through the window. Then at his datapad in his hand. And nodded, "Walk with me."
He was an older man, a doctor from the temple. With white hair and pale gray eyes. He wore a tan tunic with dark brown pants. And a white lab coat over it. When he looked at me the bags under his eyes were prominent. And he had probably been working with patient after pairing for a while now.
"There isn't much we know yet. Since we were just trying to get her stable. But we know that she will be in a coma while her body heals." His voice was rough yet soothing, "The lightsaber that stabbed her in the abdomen luckily dodged most vital organs. But it caught the edge of her large intestine. And that will take a while to heal."
I just nodded as Obi-Wan walked beside us.
"Her brain doesn't know how to handle the damage. Because of some shock factor that was in place. So that may make the process even longer. And I'm sorry, but that's all we know right now."
He turned to me, nodded, and left before I could say anything. Obi-Wan and I stood in silence for a few minutes before he spoke up,
"You should probably tell the girls. They would want to know."
I nodded, "Your right. Do you want to come with?"
"No I think it would be best if it was just you."
I rubbed my face and went back the same way I came in. Passing Y/n's window in the process.
"What happened to you?" I muttered to myself.
As I walked back to Y/n's room, I remembered. Auren saw what happened, she knows what shocked Y/n. Now I walked a little faster and when I got to her room, Ashoka was alone.
"Hey Master, how'd it go?"
She was looking through the box that Y/n had her stuff in. Holding onto a stuffed animal that was lodged in the bottom.
"The doctors don't know everything yet. But she's stable right now and she'll most likely be in a coma for a while."
Ashokas lip quivered and her eyes filled to the brink. But she didn't cry. She sniffed and sat back against the bed.
"Do they know when she'll wake up?"
"No, but it won't be soon. Her body has to heal and it's best if she's asleep while that happens. You know how she is, she hates bed rest."
This made Ashoka chuckle, "Yeah, one time when she was on a mission. She got hurt but when she came back she was supposed to watch the younglings." Ashoka played with the stuffed animal in her hands, "So she left the hospital without the doctor's permission. And she taught us leaning on the wall on one foot. For almost 3 hours."
I chuckled, she would do anything to not stay in a hospital bed. "One time, she slipped in the hallway when we were younglings. And she slid into a table. It broke and cut her right under her hairline."
Ashoka listened to me with a smile as I continued, "I took her to the med wing even though she yelled at me the whole way. And the droid told her to stay on the bed while he got something. But before he could come back she had ran out of the room."
Ashoka chuckled and looked to the door as it opened. Auren stepped in, a tray of food in her arms.
"I didn't know what you guys wanted so I got everything."
She walked over to us sitting one the floor. And set the tray down in between us. Before sitting next to Ashoka.
"Did you learn anything about my master?"
"The doctors and droids haven't run any tests yet. But they think she'll be in a coma while her body heals."
She nodded and looked at the food, "Ok. And they don't know anything else yet?"
"No, but I'll go back tomorrow when they've run the tests."
"Can we come?" Ashoka grabbed a ration bar from the tray.
"Yeah, sure. But we shouldn't stay to long. I don't want to get in anyone's way."
They nodded and grabbed more food. I did the same and we ate in a peaceful silence.
"Who did Y/n fight on Felucia?" I asked out of no-where, breaking the silence.
Auren looked up at me and then at her food. Ashoka's inquisitive gaze rested on her and she fidgeted with her food.
"At first, it was a woman with pale skin and no hair."
The Sith lord from Alderaan. "At first?"
She looked up at me with tears flooding her eyes. "They fought and Y/n did something. She started to change." She paused, taking a breath, "She changed into Master Kio. Y/n was stabbed my Master Kio."
My eyes widened and I sat up straight. Ashoka had a similar reaction. I had never been to close to Y/n's master because when we had a supervisor, it was always Obi-Wan. Her master was on constant missions, and no one ever seemed to know what she was doing.
"That's why you froze?"
"Yeah, that's part of it."
Nodding, I regained my casual posture and ate the rest of my food. Eventually, the girls got tired and laid back on the bed. The food was gone so i set the tray on the dresser. And I leaned back up against the bedpost.
I was drifting to sleep when a knock sounded from the door. Rubbing my eyes, I stood up and pressed the button. Kix stood next to R2 a few feet away from the door.
Stepping out of the room, I closed the door. Better to not wake the girls. I nodded to him and asked, "Is something wrong, Kix?"
He held his data-pad with tense fingers and a concerned look. "Nothings wrong, really. Just a new discovery."
"Well, what is it?"
"I don't really know how to ask this, sir. But, um, did General Y/l/n know she was, um, pregnant when she was fighting?"
My eyes widened for the second time this night. And I tried to respond at a normal pace, "Yeah, she found out just before hand."
"Okay, okay. They are perfectly healthy, so nothing to worry about. I just needed to know if she knew or if she would have another surprise when she woke up."
"Okay." I relaxed, the baby was fine. She was going to be fine. Everything would be fine. "Thanks, Kix."
"No problem, sir. I should head back to the med wing."
He began to walk away, "Kix?" He turned back, "Don't forget to get some sleep."
He smiled, nodded, and went on his way. I stepped back into Y/n's room and sat on the floor. She was going to be alright. She had to be.
